The Boss King actually disguised himself as a novice village chief?!
Chapter 711 - 522: The Chaotic Killing Squad

Chapter 711: Chapter 522: The Chaotic Killing Squad

Magic Bull found himself in a tricky situation, with no fixed team and could only watch from the sidelines upon returning to the Enstad Continent.

"Kicked again, damn it!"

The game lacks a party system, and free-for-all seems to be the game’s default mode. Whoever lands the killing blow on an enemy gets all the rewards, including experience and dropped items like passive Crests and so on.

Thus, those with quick enough reflexes and strong abilities could camp other players then launch a sneak attack while others are looting from defeated enemies, seize the kill and run.

Scenarios like this are common.

There are already plenty of people forming squads to snatch Bosses. The reason such actions haven’t occurred on a large scale yet is because the Undead’s individual strength isn’t strong enough to deal with Bosses of 5 circles of power.

Others have found a way to cope, as this world has Magic, Wizards, and some Divine Envoys of Deities who can create Magic Contracts, by swearing binding oaths that secure shared interests.

This practice is dubbed "forming a party" by the Undead. It costs money and isn’t cheap, so many players stick to their regular teams and stay together after signing contracts.

Most commonly, people in the same time zone and dorm would team up, making it easy to sync schedules.

And then there’s bringing along a sponsor.

The sponsor pays, hiring strong teammates to help with monster hunting, and many gaming studios make a killing off of this.

"The Circle" has become the second life for many, where one can indeed make money.

Magic Bull’s situation is simple; he lacks strength, can’t sync his schedule with others, and has no friends to play with, playing solo like a loner.

He used to mix well in teams, but now as everyone rushes to level up, he seems redundant.

Pondering over his situation, he suddenly heard someone nearby talking.

"Quite bustling here."

A somewhat familiar figure approached, carrying a greatsword over his muscular frame.

"Holy shit, the [Furious Flame Hammer] set?" Magic Bull was startled.

The current version’s most expensive, coolest, and best-attribute equipment, tightly bound to the very popular mount—the King of Black Phosphorus. It was the endgame set for a regular Undead if they managed to get one.

It’s like seeing an awe-inspiring boss with glowing wings in Newbie Village, blindingly impressive!

"Big shot, awesome!"

"Boss, you need a hang-on?"

"Can I get a pic with you, boss? You look so cool."

Adoration began to pour in.

"Old Black?" Magic Bull recognized the person.

Old gamer Old Black!

Pretty helpful, having met in the Gravel Mountain Range before, indisputably powerful in close combat and amazing if not for his low profile; otherwise, those self-proclaimed "number one close combat" and "number two close combat" would have to step back a bit.

Speaking of the Gravel Mountain Range, if we weren’t discussing the need to obtain a Magic Potion to break through to the Heroic Rank, that place would be the Undead’s best grinding spot.

Magic Bull noticed the man next to the big shot, who must also be a big shot to be hanging out with him.

Golden hair casually draped over his shoulders, a lean and handsome figure donned in a set of light Magic Armor. Aside from the Elf ball decoration hanging on his waist, he looked almost like an indigenous NPC.

Sunlight spilled onto him, creating a layer of soft light effect, making it hard to ignore his presence.

Just from his appearance, there weren’t any distinguishing features, but when Magic Bull’s gaze fell on the greatsword on the man’s back, he couldn’t help but curse: "Fuck, a Black Knight Greatsword!"

The Black Knight Greatsword, currently owned by maybe tens of thousands of people.

In a world of millions of Undead, it’s an extremely rare and coveted weapon. To obtain this sword one must have dedication, money, contribute real cash, or be a big spender. Especially the latter, if not lucky enough then just fill the prize pool with cash, spend enough and eventually, it will be yours.

Although it’s not as rare as the Furious Flame Hammer of the King of Black Phosphorus, the two can be combined. And most crucially, the Black Knight Greatsword can stack with any gear, forcefully boosting one’s stats.

"Boss, do you remember me?" Magic Bull boldly approached Old Black to make his presence known, "You helped me farm materials before."

Old Black: "Uh."

He hesitated.

Magic Bull didn’t back away, still inquiring, "Boss, are you here to farm Magic Potions?"

Old Black: "No."

"Then you’ve already broken through?" Magic Bull envied him, "So you’re levelling up?"

Going back to Newbie Village Continent to level up wasn’t very wise. Better to head to the Gravel Mountain Range, though he didn’t rule out the chance the big shot liked to show off in Newbie Village.

"We’ve taken on a mission," said the golden-haired man.

"Boss, how should I call you?"

"Lind Armand."

"Holy shit, an NPC look-alike, what a divine ID! Cool bro!"

His appearance sure looked a lot like Lind, pretty much identical. Lind’s face was commonplace now, as countless Undead modeled their characters after him, complete with tutorials to match.

The armor must have been intentionally made to resemble Lind Armand while prioritizing high attributes, except the physique was way off.

It’s not just Lind; any Undead with significant fame received similar treatment.

Becoming an inspiration for character creation was just the first step, followed by fanfics, and being featured in the 3D area—that’s the true measure of popularity. And due to Lind’s fame and robust build, he had long become a designated actor in the 3D area.

"I always thought he was the most handsome," Lind shrugged.

Old Black gave Lind a strange look from the side.
