The Boss King actually disguised himself as a novice village chief?! -

Chapter 591: Chapter 460, what? I’m the 2.0 BOSS?_2
If the Beast King were to invade other material planes with his power, even alone, he would certainly sweep through unopposed.
When the Abyss pollution encompasses the entire world, his power would naturally rise tremendously.
"I obey your command," Lind nodded.
When the darkness dissipated, the pus gifted by the Abyss to Van Dijk was absorbed into Lind’s body. He began to feel somewhat uncomfortable, like having an empty stomach and drinking a large bucket of water, always hearing a "gurgle, gurgle" sloshing sound whenever he moved.
More than that, Lind was concerned about another matter. If he wasn’t mistaken, he seemed to have been chosen as the Abyss’s sole designated general. This meant that if he were to initiate a new Abyssal war, the Undead might likely be forcibly conscripted by the "officials."
"Am I a version 2.0 boss?"
He lacked the strength and had never considered initiating an Abyssal war across the three continents. Similarly, the "officials" lacked the capability to quickly raise the level cap of the Undead.
The two sides must still be in a state of peaceful coexistence.
"The update button is now in my hands? No, given the state of the Abyss, it’s only a matter of time before its escape. Magdalena has also mentioned that a calamity from beyond the heavens is forecast to strike in thirty to fifty years. If the Abyss and the extraterrestrial enemies appear at the same time, the world will not be far from collapse."
A game crash means the Undead log off without a game to play, but he would die.
How to eliminate the Abyss under the guise of a backstage boss designated as 2.0 boss and as a fake Newbie Village chief, is quite a test of acting skills.
...
A fierce Beast Tide did not end with the collapse of the colossal statue; the giant creatures had already used the mighty long-range attack power of the colossal statue to penetrate the Gravel Mountain Range. Since they had successfully made it inside, it wasn’t so easy to make the giant beasts leave.
Even if Lind and his men spent a year or two, they might be able to clear the giant beasts that crossed the Gravel Mountain Range and expel them again, but Lind did not intend to do this thankless job.
Eternal Summer Nest, standing on the city walls, one could see the wandering giant beasts. Extremely powerful giant creatures roamed within the Gravel Mountain Range, being blocked and directed by the Red Kite Magic Cannon Group and others to prevent them from breaking in shortly.
But some weaker, only two or three-story tall "small beasts" had successfully sneaked in using their numbers and size advantages, and stationed themselves outside the Eternal Summer Nest.
Only a few thousand warriors who survived with sufficient fighting power are left; they survived this battle but had no time to rest; they must quickly organize hunting parties to hunt the giant beasts outside the walls.
This was destined to be a long, grueling campaign.
At least they held on during this defense, next time... they would think about the next time then.
Eternal Summer Nest, the city’s residents’ life seemed to have returned to normal, and various kinds of roast meat unseen before adorned the dining tables.
The end of the war also provided many precious materials; the ores carried on the giant beasts’ bodies, Magic Potions, etc., brought an unprecedented trade boom to this barbarian city-state.
But this flourishing situation lasted only one day, and the locals quickly understood what being filthy rich meant.
Tens of thousands fought, vowing to resist and fight with the giant beasts, the materials painstakingly mined and stored in dozens of warehouses, were bought up by the mysterious Black Knight alone!
As they looked at piles of beast teeth around them, the locals were bewildered.
The wealth of the Black Knight was terrifying.
Even Golden Claw·Quik, who had thought of spending money to hire the Black Knight to help clear the giant beasts, suppressed his absurd idea. Even offering all the wealth of Eternal Summer Nest wouldn’t be enough; the Black Knight simply didn’t treat money as money.
They even had a ridiculous feeling that the Black Knight might use money to crush them to death.
"Ska, won’t you stay? Perhaps, this place needs you more," the woman looked at her brother, having witnessed the war, she realized Golden Claw·Quik was not the most powerful, so she was both happy and worried about her brother choosing to follow a stronger one.
Happy that her brother was following a powerhouse and would see a broader horizon, but worried about the dangers of the farther sky.
"Black Knight said that the beast tide here would only burst on a small scale for now, and re-establishing the defense line centered on the Eternal Summer Nest would hold up, even if a Mountain King level giant beast emerges from the Gravel Mountain Range, you can... contact me!" Ska patted his chest and grinned, "I have a good relationship with Iron Lump Nur, borrowing a dozen magic cannons is no problem."
Ska’s gaze shifted to the distant figure draped in a Ghost Cloak and said, "It’s only when I leave here that I go to search for a real way to save this place. Defending one spot, all we await is annihilation. Enduring hardship merely prolongs the inevitable."
He followed Lind around, encountering even more formidable individuals, and understood that for those top fighters, the beast tide that plagued his homeland was nothing significant. The Beast King could easily handle the beast tide, but their concern was why the Beast King chose to persist here to combat the beast tide.
Choose to rely on oneself to become a strong one akin to the Beast King, or find a way to stop the incoming beast tide.
Ska turned to look at his sister, his gaze moving past her to see Golden Claw·Quik and those familiar faces behind, sweeping over them, each name flickering in his mind.
War left only fatigue on their faces, and those familiar but no longer visible faces might have rushed to their demise, or were just severely injured—Ska hoped for the latter.
The ground began to shake violently, the land swaying as a fearsome Subterranean Tunnel Worm burst from the earth, its horrifying size that could hold thousands causing an uproar upon its arrival.
Black Knight leapt up, and the others followed suit onto the terrifying "Sand Worm," whose movement was very fast, the ground’s vibration unceasing, making it impossible to stand firm on the ground.
"Ska!" came a shout from the White Wolf Knight in the distance, waving his hand.
"Coming!"
Ska bellowed in response.
He ran swiftly towards the "Sand Worm," then suddenly stopped.
The sunlight of the setting sun cast from the side of Ska’s face, hanging overhead, elongating his shadow dramatically. His eyes shone brightly as he looked towards the Eternal Summer Nest, towards those who were seeing him off, "If the beast tide comes again, I’ll come back to save you! Remember to shout for Lord Ska!"
Ska sprinted towards the direction of the Sand Worm, "Wait for me, Lord Black Knight, I haven’t boarded yet!"
"Nur, I told you before that we needed more transport points."
"Sir, they are costly."
"What do we lack? Go rob some? Haven’t we heard about a ruin that has a dragon?"
"Sir, a dragon again?"
"Nonsense, what else would we skulk around for?"
"True..."
Their voices were swallowed by the howling wind and the rumbling of the ground.
"Save us?" Ska’s sister laughed loudly at her overly confident brother.
For some reason, though, the figure running in her field of view suddenly seemed twisted, blurred, somewhat unclear.
"He will succeed, won’t he?" Ska’s sister turned to look at the hand resting on her shoulder, "Ska, can he do what he claims?"
Golden Claw·Quik sensed Ska’s sister’s "moving" gaze, shivering.
He had just felt her cry and couldn’t help but raise his hand to comfort her; he really hadn’t thought about making a sacrifice.
"Yes," Golden Claw·Quik nodded nonetheless, "Ska has always been that guy who keeps his word, remember? He saved us twice."
He didn’t wait for Ska’s sister to throw herself into his arms before retracting his hand, turning to say, "But we can’t just wait for Ska to save us, we can’t let Ska look down on us!"
He shouted at the top of his lungs, "Prepare to clear out!"
The war was over, but not completely.
