THE BILLIONAIRE'S VENGEFUL WIFE RETURNS -
Chapter 89: SET UP 2
Chapter 89: SET UP 2
Alanis didn’t wait for an answer. Fury burned through him as he strode toward the buff man lounging arrogantly in the chair. Without hesitation, he grabbed the thug by the collar and yanked him up with one swift, brutal motion.
"I said, what the fuck did you give her?!" Alanis roared, his voice echoing like a thunderclap.
Before the man could stammer out a reply, Alanis’s fist slammed into his face with a bone-crunching force. The thug crumpled to the floor, groaning in pain as blood poured from his split lip.
This was exactly why Alanis hadn’t wanted Harlow to live alone. His jaw clenched as his thoughts darkened. If only she hadn’t been so damn stubborn.
He clicked his tongue, the sound sharp and cold.
"What the hell, man? Who do you think you are?!" another thug yelled, the one who had pressed the chloroform to Ava’s nose earlier. At first, they thought this man would be an easy target, someone they could handle. But now, they realized how wrong they were.
This wasn’t just any man.
This was Alanis Hamilton, ’The Tycoon Beast...’
The thug lunged at Alanis, his massive form rushing like a bull. But before he could reach him, Alanis’s boot struck out with precise, unrelenting power, sending the man sprawling across the room.
Another thug didn’t wait. Seizing the moment, he charged at Alanis, his fists raised. Alanis barely flinched. With cold precision, he grabbed a chair from the corner and smashed it across the man’s face, the wood splintering with the impact.
The man standing before them wasn’t Alanis anymore, he was a raging beast, a force of nature ready to tear them apart.
The leader, dazed but recovering, got to his feet. He swung a heavy punch at Alanis, landing a solid blow across his jaw. But instead of staggering, Alanis turned back to him slowly, his gaze feral and unrelenting. The punch had only fueled his wrath.
He reached for a jagged wooden log from the broken chair and, with savage precision, delivered a blow that dislocated the man’s shoulder. The leader screamed, his cries tearing through the apartment.
Outside, neighbors had begun to gather, but fear kept them from stepping in. Earlier, one of the thugs had threatened them, no police, no interruptions, no matter what sounds they heard. They had expected the cries of helpless women.
Instead, they heard the guttural screams of men.
Inside, Alanis moved like a storm. The third man launched himself at him, but Alanis’s fist collided with his ribs, sending him crumpling to the ground. Another came at him, desperate, but was met with a brutal kick that shattered his knee.
Bones cracked. Faces were smashed. Teeth scattered across the blood-slicked floor. Alanis didn’t stop. He couldn’t.
And through it all, Harlow stood on the sidelines, biting her trembling lower lip, her tear-filled eyes fixed on him. The chaos, the carnage, it barely registered. The ache in her body, the unbearable heat coursing through her veins, was all she could focus on.
She didn’t care about the blows flying around the room or the cries of broken men. Her body screamed for release, her need consuming every thought.
Amid the wreckage, only one man was still standing while the others were beaten to a pulp. Alanis.
He turned, his bloodied gaze locking onto the leader slumped on the floor. Alanis strode toward him, each step deliberate, menacing. The leader tried to crawl backward, his fear palpable, but there was nowhere to go.
Alanis loomed over him, his chest heaving with rage. "You’ve got ten seconds to talk," he growled, his voice calm now. A deadly calm. "Or I’ll make sure you never walk out of here alive."
The leader glared up at him, spitting blood onto the floor. "Over my dead body," he hissed.
Alanis tilted his head, a cold smile curling his lips. "If that’s how you want it."
But before he could strike again, Harlow rushed to his side, her movements frantic. She clung to him, her hands pawing desperately at his chest.
"Alanis, please," she begged, her voice shaky and raw. Tears streamed down her face, her cheeks flushed, her body trembling. "Help me... I... I need you."
Her broken plea cut through his anger like a knife. Alanis turned to her, his jaw tightening as he saw the desperation etched into every inch of her face.
"Harlow," Alanis called softly, the beast who had been there tearing the whole place apart had suddenly disappeared as he stared at his wife. He gently grasped her shoulders, steadying her trembling form. "I’ll fix this. Just hold on, okay?"
Her glassy eyes met his, filled with pain and helplessness. She clung to him tighter, her body trembling with uncontrollable need.
Alanis turned his glare back to the thug on the floor. "What. Did. You. Give. Her?" he demanded again, his voice deadly calm now, the kind of tone that promised consequences far worse than what he had already given.
The man coughed, spitting out blood as he tried to sit up but failed. He was badly beaten, never in his life did he think he would face the wrath of this man. To take a man like Alanis down, to would need an army. "It... it’s just a stimulant," he stammered, his voice shaking. "Nothing lethal. Just to... make her compliant."
Alanis’s fist clenched at his side. His eyes burned with a fury that made the man shrink back in terror.
"Alanis," Harlow called out to him again and he finally turned to her, giving all of his full attention to her.
"I’ll get you a doctor immediately." He said lifting her in his hands as he took her away. As Alanis stepped out of the room, he was greeted by three police officers at the entrance of her apartment.
Police cars and convoys filled the entire street like a hardened criminal had just escaped from prison.
The people had turned worried for Harlow and Ava and they needed to do something about them. So they called the cops and explained everything to them.
The local news was already at the crime scene and was already taking pictures of everything happening.
"Mr Hamilton?" The police officer called as he recognized the man. Who doesn’t know of Alanis Hamilton? The man every man aspires to be like.
"The real culprits are in there, be careful they’re dangerous," Alanis said to them and kept walking away. He tried everything to endure the endless kisses from the woman in his arms.
"God help me." He muttered as he clenched his jaw.
When the police officers walked in, they were greeted by four gruff men lying almost lifeless on the floor. They sighed. Alanis had already done the job.
They handcuffed all four men immediately and took them away.
Alanis took Harlow inside his car and stepped in too. He took out his phone and called Gus, "Head over to my wife’s house immediately and make sure you protect Ava at all costs." Alanis stated and hung up.
"Drive." He commanded his chauffeur.
