A persistent ringing was heard from the cell phone on the bedside. Annoyed, Julia covered her ears with both hands. "So noisy, I want to sleep some more."

The ringing of the cell phone stopped but only for a few seconds before it continued its persistent ringing.

Julia was irritated. She stretched her hand to reach out for the phone but her hand suddenly froze mid-air. The memories of last night’s passion came rushing back. She gripped the edge of the quilt with trembling hands and lifted it slowly. Indeed she was naked and she felt her back and nether area in great pain. She moved her head to her left and screamed when she came face to face with a man whose naked torso was exposed.

’How did it come to this? Why is it him and not Erik?’

Franco was awakened by the scream and the slaps on his face. Before Julia can inflict more harm on him, Franco grabbed her wrists.

"After taking advantage of me last night, is this how you will repay me?" Franco’s face was very close to hers that she could feel his breath on her face.

"You jerk. I will sue you for raping me." She said full of hatred.

Franco chuckled.

"Go ahead little tigress." He smirked. "Oh no, I should be the one suing you. You barged into my room, seduced me, and molested me. Do you see this?" Franco stood up showing his nakedness and the scratches on his chest.

"You." she stopped when her gaze fell on a forbidden part of his body.

Franco laughed. He picked up his clothes and went to the bathroom. He stopped at the door and stared back at Julia.

"Care to join me? We can have one more round." His voice was seductive and he winked at her.

Julia just glared at him. Franco laughed again before gently closing the door.

Julia sat on the bed in a daze. Her phone rang again and this time she picked it up.

"Where the hell are you? Go home right at this instant." It was his father and he was really very angry.

"Dad? What’s wrong?" She asked confused.

"You still have the audacity to ask?" Where the hell are you? You are the trending topic on the internet now." His father’s voice was so loud that her eardrums hurt.

Julia’s heart skipped a bit. She ended the call without saying goodbye and quickly logged into her social media account. She froze when she saw a candid photo of her and Franco in a spooning sleep position. Franco took the photo. Only her side profile was shown but those who knew her would definitely recognize her.

Julia’s head ached. She checked her messenger and there were so many unread messages.

’Julia, what the heck happened? I thought you will be engaged to Erik.’’

’Is that your fiancé? He looked hot but not as handsome as Erik.’

Julia stopped reading. She massaged her throbbing temples. Her anger was rising by the minute and it reached a tipping point the moment the bathroom door opened.

She was done showering when the doorbell chimed. She looked at the monitor and saw that it was her parents and her brother Antonio.

She opened the door and the moment her family was inside she started wailing. The once luxurious room turned into a mess.

"Dad, Mom I am ruined. What do I do?" She asked incoherently between sobs.

"Tell us what happened so we can decide what to do later." Her mother coaxed her.

Julia recounted to them what happened, from the time she wanted to trap Erik at the club to the time she woke up in the morning with Franco lying naked beside her.

"Do you think Erik set you up?" Antonio speculated.

"How can he do that? He doesn’t know I will come here." Julia protested.

"Erik has a gift of foresight. He wouldn’t be this successful if he does not have that." Her dad said in a serious tone.

"I am pretty sure it is just a coincidence." Julia paused and looked at her parents.

"Dad, Mom, I don’t want to marry anyone else but Erik." Julia cried.

"How did the photos leak out?" Antonio asked. "It was clear that Franco took that photo. Did he leak it out on purpose?"

Julia shook her head.

"I don’t know. Dad, please do something about the trending topic." She pleaded.

"Don’t you think I did not do that? I had our PR team handle it earlier. The photo has been removed but many netizens have taken a screenshot and they keep on reposting and sharing that."

"How about let’s call a press conference? Julia will deny that she is the woman in the photo." Mrs. Lopez said thoughtfully.

"Mom you’re brilliant! Why did I not think of that earlier." Julia’s mood improved.

"What about Erik? We can fool the netizens but not Erik. Franco is also his best friend." Antonio’s words dampened Julia’s spirit. "Why are you so stupid sister? Why did you not check first if the man is your target or not? Now you have dug a pit for yourself." He scolded his sister.

"That’s enough Tony. It had already happened and there is nothing we can do about it. Let us deal with the most urgent problem first which is to stop the scandal. Let us take care of Erik later on." Mr. Lopez said in his deep baritone voice.
