The following day, Erik and Marlon arrived at the "The Fusion" restaurant, a few minutes before the appointed time. The Fusion was a recently opened restaurant that boasted of Malacan’s famous cuisine. But it was also so bold to create new dishes combining ingredients and tastes of the different countries’ cuisines. The unique taste of the food brought about by combining different cuisines into one dish made the restaurant famous.

Erik thought that they were early but when he and Marlon walked into the private room, he was surprised to see that Jax and three men were already inside. The men were dressed impeccably. With the backdrop of an unobstructed view of the beautiful lagoon, they looked like they came out of a painting.

"Erik, you are here!" Jax stood from his chair and stepped forward to welcome his cousin. However, Erik’s strides were big and powerful so Jax was only able to make two steps but Erik was already in front of him.

The three men who were sitting earlier stood up.

Erik furrowed his brows. The two foreign men in front of him looked familiar but he can’t remember when he met them. He wanted to ask if they met before but Jax already started to introduce the men.

"Cousin, this is Alexander Rossi and that is his brother Leonardo Rossi. This guy over here is their legal counsel, Mateo Nizzi." Jax turned to the three foreigners and introduced his cousin.

"This is Erik Lee, the CEO of Gaeya Corporation and also my cousin."

"Have we met before?" Erik reached out to shake the hands of the three men. He was still trying to figure out why the two looked familiar. Then he remembered his birthday.

"We met on one of the islands in the Pacific a few months ago," Alex spoke in his deep voice.

"Yes, I remembered now. Let us have our lunch first."

As if on cue, two waiters hurriedly approached to take their orders. The Fusion was a very expensive restaurant. The customers that went there were very high-profile people and could not waste their time because every minute was precious.

"I have already studied the proposal and it looked good but I have a few revisions." Erik went straight to the point. When Aryana disappeared and after he went back to the company, he even became more straightforward.

The Rossie brothers did their due diligence. The reason why they requested to have their lunch in The Fusion restaurant was because it was situated beside the location of the site where they wanted to build their hotel and casino.

Erik had carefully studied the proposal and had the company investigated. He did not find anything wrong with ’D Rossi Impresa.’

When Erik met the Rossi brothers on the island, his first impression of them was that they were from the underworld and must be doing illegal business. He would ask the King of Aces to investigate. His proposed revision was just a ploy to buy time.

"My Secretary has sent the proposed changes. You can revert to us with those changes and after that, I can sign the contract."

Jax was about to say something when the waiters came back with their orders. The three foreigners could not help but swallow their saliva as the waiters placed their plates on the table. Each dish was elaborately prepared and they looked delectable.

"No worries, Erik. We will definitely revise the contract and send it back to you within the day." Alexander spoke politely but he had an air of arrogance that masked the politeness of his words.

Erik was surprised when he heard that they could provide feedback within the day. ’So their lawyer is very efficient.’ Erik thought.

"This restaurant has a nice view of the lagoon and the ambiance is really nice. The owner had a very good taste." Alexander commented nonchalantly. He started eating.

Erik cleared his throat. The restaurant was co-owned by him, Franco, and Alex. They each have a 33.33% share of the company. But not many people knew of this arrangement.

"Why did you not take your wife along?" Leonardo suddenly asked out of the blue.

Jax and Marlon were surprised to hear the question. How did the bigshot meet with Aryana?

Jax coughed awkwardly. "That is not possible. Aryana disappeared a few months ago when the cruise ship she was riding was destroyed by that waterspout." Jax took the time to explain Erik’s situation to their guests.

"Oh, that’s pitiable." Leonardo looked at Erik with an accusing gaze. ’You did not protect her well and let her suffer.’ Leonardo whispered to himself.

Erik did not bother to explain that Aryan was found. They were outsiders anyway.

Leonardo glanced at his brother. ’"I told you before, to snatch her away but you did not listen. In the end, she disappeared. What a waste of beauty." He whispered to his brother.

Jax was dumbfounded. ’How did they know Arayana? Why would the elder brother snatch Aryana away?’

Alexander just glared at his brother. He steered the conversation back to their business proposal.

"I don’t have issues with the profit-sharing arrangement. Since most of the work will be carried out by Gaeya Corporation, it is just right for you to have 60% and the remaining 40% is for us."

"That’s great Alexander. I’ll sign the contract this afternoon and have it delivered to your hotel."

Leonardo can’t believe what his brother just said. When did he become a considerate person? He elbowed his brother but got a sharp look instead.

"Fine! You are much older than me, so you can decide what is good for the family." Leonardo sounded respectful but he was angry.

When Jax saw that they were about to finish their lunch, he reminded everyone of their appointment in the evening.

"Cousin, I booked a private room at Midnight Club. They also would like to look at the game rooms on the 3rd to 5th floor of the Midnight Club."

"I heard that women here are very beautiful. I hope you can find a date for us tonight, Mr. Jax. Don’t forget to bring your dates as well." Alexander said teasingly.

Leonardo smiled. His brother finally said something that he would normally say.
