Chapter 183: Keep Your Identity as CEO, Hidden

Erik went with Aryana to The Tavern. Elaine already booked a private room. She, Erik, and Jessa arrived earlier and they were waiting for Aryana and Erik. The makeup artist and the stylist did not go with them in the end due to an urgent call.

They ordered the restaurant’s specialty and the atmosphere was very lively.

"Have you seen the comments on the internet Yana?" Elaine has started calling Aryana by her nickname a few months ago.

Aryana shook her head. She took out her cell phone and opened the link shared by Elaine in CoChi’s Pride chat group.

She saw the photo of the three of them. She browsed through the comments and was amused when saw a lot of netizens cursing the judges for their bad taste. Erik leaned closer to Aryana and looked at the photo.

"It is better if the two of you did not stand together. Cassie’s gown is also beautiful. But when she stood beside you, there is no point of comparison at all." Erik aired his thoughts.

"Do you think Dulce played a trick and bribed the judges?" She asked curiously.

"I think she did not. Dulce is a famous designer. The judges have their own biases. Dulce will definitely suffer a backlash."

Aryana looked at Erik with a strange expression. "Do you know Dulce?"

Erik thought for a moment. Dulce was just a newbie designer back then but Erik liked her designs. She was the one who designed the dress that Cassie wore at their engagement party.

"Yes." was all he replied.

"There are a lot of bids for Galaxy at Night," Jessa announced excitedly.

Aryana looked at her cell phone again and read through the comments. She was blushing. Netizens were praising her beauty to the moon and back.

’My goddess is so beautiful. If only I am rich, I will bid five million for her gown.’

’Have you seen the bid? It is already at 2.5 million. The man who bid that must love his wife or his girlfriend so much.’

"Let us sell this to the highest bidder." Aryana was as excited as Jessa.

"I will not sell the gown but I am giving it to you, Aryana," Vince said in a determined voice.

"What? No, let us sell it. Let’s use the proceeds to expand." Aryana spoke with a resolute tone. "Vince, you should focus on designing gowns. I think it is time for CoChi to have its own luxury brand. Let’s have Rex recommend other designers to work on the designs for our other target market."

Erik studied his wife. He did not know that her business proposal was actually good. She saved a lot of overhead by utilizing the e-commerce platform, thus raking in a lot of profits.

Vince looked at Aryana and nodded. "I guess you are right. When you were changing, a few parents approached us and asked me if I am interested in designing the wedding gowns of their daughters."

"And I said, we will think about it and get back to them." Elaine did not want to be left out so she interjected.

The waiter came in with their orders. When he left, Elaine continued. "Maybe, it was a blessing in disguise that the original model has gotten sick. Vince’s designs did not stand out if it was any other model." Elaine continued talking even when she stuffed food into her mouth.

"I agree. The clothes looked spectacular when it was Aryana who wore them." The normally shy Jessa, wasn’t shy at all tonight. She looked at Vince with much love and adoration.

Vince took some food from the platter and put it on her plate.

Erik glanced briefly at the couple. He also scooped the braised pork and put a portion on Aryana’s plate.

Aryana thanked Erik and ate the food with gusto.

"Looks like it is now time for us to open a physical store." She was talking to Elaine but her eyes were on Erik. I remember someone said that we can have a place in the mall he owned."

"Yes, you can rent a space in ’The Prism.’ I’ll give you a preferential discount." Erik said causally.

"Isn’t that the high-end mall in the central district?" Elaine asked with big eyes.

Erik looked at her like she has gone stupid.

"Elaine, I think you should resign and focus on managing CoChi. You’ll be the deputy CEO." Aryana grinned.

"How about you stop being an assistant and become the full-time CEO?" Elaine covered her mouth. She realized too late that what she said was wrong when she felt a cold gaze directed at her.

Aryana laughed, then she became serious and looked at Erik’s handsome face. "What do you think?"

Erik did not answer her. He was contemplating. Aryana has a lot of potentials. Keeping her at his side will surely limit her, but thinking about how much trouble she was attracting herself, made him reconsider.

"I think it is better for you to keep your identity as the CEO. I can help recommend good people to assist Elaine."

The waiter interrupted them when he brought in the second course and the bottle of wine.

"Vince, you have now made a name for yourself in the world of fashion. You should be able to command a higher price." Aryana commented happily.

"That is thanks to you, Aryana." He spoke gently.

Erik looked at Vince with a warning look. He knew that Vince treated Aryana with the utmost respect and idolized her but he still felt jealous when another guy talked with such gentleness to his woman. He also knew that Aryana treated Vince as her sibling, similar to the way she treated Jessa. But what can he do? He still felt jealous sometimes.

Erik was busy with his phone.

"Oh my gosh! Aryana, someone bid a whooping five million for Galaxy at Night!" Elaine’s eyes were as big as saucers. "That person is very rich. Five million for just a gown? I feel like I will faint."
