Chapter 175: What A Good Opportunity

When Cassie went out of the restroom, she caught a glimpse of Erik’s back entering the men’s restroom. A plan was hatched in her head.

From the end of the corridor, she saw a man in a black suit. By the way, he walked, Cassie could tell that he was drunk.

’What a good opportunity.’ Cassie thought. She walked toward the man and gave him a seductive smile.

The man smirked. ’Here is another slut who wanted to throw herself at me.’ He scanned Cassie from head to toe with lewd eyes.

"Not bad." He held both of her wrists and pinned her on the wall and he brought down his lips over hers.

Cassie’s eyes widened. For a moment, she forgot to struggle. She has to admit that the man was handsome and an expert kisser. It took her a lot of effort not to respond to his demanding kiss.

She struggled and broke free from the kiss. "Bastard, let me go! How dare you molest me!" She shouted as she tried to break free from his steel grip.

The man laughed and it sounded sexy to Cassie’s ears. "You seduced me and now you are playing hard to get?" He freed his right hand, placed it under her chin, and lifted her face. He inserted his right leg in between her thighs. He supported the back of her head with his hand and gave her a hard kiss.

Cassie’s body heat up but she suddenly saw Erik come out of the restroom from her peripheral vision. She struggled to free herself and lifted her hand to slap him.

The man caught her hand. "It is you who seduced me and now you are making a fuss. I don’t like women who are pretentious and scheming." He released her and turned around only to be met by a cold gaze.

He lifted both his hands in the air. " I did not force myself on her. She seduced me first." He passed by Erik as if nothing happened.

Cassie looked at Erik with pitiful eyes. "He.. he.. molested me."

Erik scanned her from head to foot. Earlier, when he was coming out of the restroom, he already saw them entangled in the corridor. Cassie seemed not bothered about it at the beginning. She only started to struggle when Erik walked closer.

"Let’s go back," Erik said nonchalantly.

Cassie clenched her fists as she followed him. Erik entered the private room followed by Cassie who was acting demure and shy. Erik went back to his seat and took a serving of nachos and pass them to Aryana who happily ate them.

When Cassie settled on her seat, Rhia studied her carefully.

"Cassie, what happened to your lips? And why is your face red?" She asked tactlessly.

Cassie shyly glanced at Erik. It did not escape Aryana’s eyes. ’Is she implying that Erik did that to her?’

"Nothing happened. Don’t ask about it anymore." A flustered Cassie said. She was afraid that Erik will tell everyone that a random guy kissed her.

"Why don’t you start the singing? You have a pleasant voice." Karla passed the microphone to her and entered the song number in the keypad. It was a song professing one’s love to the man of her dreams. Cassie’s voice was pleasant to the ears.

"Let us make it more fun." Marlon placed a bottle on the table and spin it. It pointed to Julia and the microphone was passed to her. She sang an upbeat song which caused everyone to be lively.

After the song, it was Julia’s turn to spin the bottle and it pointed to Aryana. She did not stand on ceremony and took the microphone. She selected a classic love song.

Aryana’s melodious voice filled the air and the VIP room became silent.

Aryana looked at Erik with eyes full of love before she looked back at her cell phone as she did not memorize the lyrics. Erik slid his hand on her thin waist.

Cassie pursed her lips. She was jealous and envious of Aryana because her voice was better than hers.

Aryana continued singing.

...Like a rose under the April snow; I was always certain love would grow

When Aryana reached the chorus, she looked at Erik again and held his gaze.

Erik could not peel his gaze off Aryana. A fuzzy feeling enveloped him. He knew that Aryana selected the song to express her feelings for him and he was in such a good mood.

Aryana reluctantly retracted her gaze and looked at her cell phone.

...Two lights that shine as one; Morning glory and the midnight sun

...Time we’ve learned to sail above

...Time won’t change the meaning of one love

...Ageless and ever evergreen.

When Aryana’s voice faded, Erik gave her a peck on the cheek. He wanted to do more to her but it could wait for later.

Marlon clapped his hands. Alex followed suit and even Franco clapped his hands as well.

"I did not know that you sing so well Aryana." Alex complimented her. "You are even better than some of the famous singers out there. Why not record an album?"

"You are flattering me, Alex. My voice is just so so." Aryana replied shyly.

"Alex is right, Aryana. Your voice is pretty good." Marlon added.

Cassie could not take it anymore. She pestered Franco to have this gathering so she could get closer to Erik. In the end, Erik’s gentleness towards Aryana and their blatant display of affection hurt her. Aryana’s singing and the praises she got from Erik’s friends angered her even more.

"I had so much to drink and it is getting late. How about let us give Erik a toast and call it a night?"

Cassie filled her glass with wine. She stood and approached Erik to clink glasses with him however she tripped. The red liquid’s trajectory was toward Aryana’s body and she failed to dodge it. Cassie was about to fall face down on Erik’s lap and gasps filled the air.
