The Beautiful Boss's Personal Bodyguard -
Chapter 474 - 473
Chapter 474: 473
Just as I was about to move forward, I noticed the old lady in front had stopped in her tracks. I looked closely and saw that someone was speaking to her. After listening to what they said, her body violently shuddered. Stamping her foot, she charged inside. The person in the yellow monk robes tried to stop her, but was effortlessly flung away by the old lady, tumbling down the steps to land right at Ye Tian’s feet, trapped beneath his foot.
Seeing he was a stranger, the person’s face immediately turned ugly. Taking advantage of their identity as a Buddhist, they got up and swung a hefty slap, but though the palm came fiercely, it fizzled out – the slap paused in mid-air, caught in Ye Tian’s hand.
The monk’s face contorted with rage, "Ignorant fool, do you know who I am? Let me go at once!"
As if he hadn’t heard him, Ye Tian asked White Bull beside him, "Do you think this guy is a good person?"
Bai swished its tail, and Ye Tian, understanding, nodded, "I don’t think he looks like one."
With a swift kick, Ye Tian, playing the good Samaritan, sent the man flying back into the temple. The man lay limp on the ground. When he scrambled to his feet, Ye Tian, followed by Jenny and White Bull, entered the temple with regal indifference. The surrounding monks seemed to want to stop them, but recalling how Dehang Master’s top disciple was effortlessly kicked away by Ye Tian, they weighed their own strength and found it wanting, standing there trembling in fear, watching the trio swagger in.
It seems that a fist is universally understood; had they spoken nicely before, they probably wouldn’t even be allowed through the front door.
"Where did your master go? Without her, we’ll probably be kicked out soon."
Jenny shook her head, "I don’t know."
What should we do now? The two stood in a corner, pondering for a solution. Suddenly, Ye Tian had an idea. Extending his right hand, he began to slowly stir the warm Spiritual Power in his mind, attempting to awaken the recent memory – and it worked.
When Ye Tian was at the old lady’s, he was attacked by both the painting on the door and the Hell’s Fury in the courtyard, but he repelled them both. To outsiders, he must have something even more powerful than those chilling forces. In fact, Ye Tian was even mightier than they imagined because he could not only fend off those external powers but could memorize them and then follow those traces to locate the people.
Found it! There was indeed a reaction.
As soon as Ye Tian’s right index finger felt that familiar sensation inside his heart, it was met with warmth, and the tip picked up signals coming from the southeast.
"What’s over there?" Ye Tian asked, pointing southeast.
"That’s where Master cultivates, and it’s a Forbidden Land of the temple. Ordinary believers are absolutely forbidden from entering, except for a few high-ranking elders, no one can enter at will."
"Forbidden Land? You mean to say, there should be something very important there."
Jenny nodded, "My master said that the Buddha Bead Relics are enshrined there, do you mean..."
She suddenly understood Ye Tian’s meaning, but still somewhat incredulous, she asked uncertainly.
"We better go and have a look."
"But that place is Forbidden Land, and there are many masters lying in ambush outside, I heard there’s even an Execution Array, it’s very dangerous."
Ye Tian turned to her and said, "One against three, how much chance do you think your master has?"
She remained silent, head lowered.
The old lady treated Jenny as her Closed-door Disciple, had shared her doubts with her. It was very possible that another Master of the Esoteric Sect had been killed by the three Brahmin masters, and their goal was simply to claim the Buddha Bead Relics for their own Cultivation. They were a group of selfish villains.
Jenny frowned; she couldn’t guarantee her master’s safety, otherwise, she wouldn’t live alone in her own house rather than staying in the temple to be worshipped by others.
"Let’s go to the Forbidden Land."
Ye Tian led the way, Jenny followed behind, and Bai, afraid of being left behind, scurried along on its short legs, not wanting to fall behind.
I had initially thought that the rumors of mysterious masters guarding the place were an exaggerated hoax, but it turned out there really were hidden masters lurking in the outer fringes of that shrine.
Dressed entirely in black, only their eyes visible, they somewhat resembled those Ninja from Japan. A sword rested on their back, its hilt jutting out from the sheath.
Along a corridor, five meters wide, what made this place special was that both the road and the two parallel walls were made of adobe, standing nine meters tall – an astonishing figure, no wonder the air was filled with the scent of black soil. This broad corridor was solidly blocked by the black-clad figure. Ye Tian turned back to Jenny and asked, "Is this the master who’s been lying in ambush?"
"My master only told me about five otherworldly masters stationed around, embodying Water, Wood, Gold, Fire, Earth, each aligned with their element and capable of using the most powerful moves according to environmental changes. From the looks of it, this must be the master of the Earth element."
In the city, building nine-meter-thick walls to the north and south, not to mention the length of this corridor, which seemed to be over a hundred meters, would require an immense amount of earthworks. All of this was just to accommodate this earth master, which seemed unbelievable.
"Leave this place, it’s not where you belong."
The black-clothed figure spoke, their voice neither as deep as a man’s nor as light as a woman’s but with a hint of femininity.
Ye Tian said, "Excuse me, sir, did you happen to see an old lady passing by here? She was headed in the direction of the shrine."
The black-clad figure shook their head, "No."
A lie! Ye Tian had followed that trail of energy here, and the residue of it was dense on this path, clearly having just passed by.
"Sir, I think you may not be telling the truth."
"Leave, or die!"
Ye Tian shook his head, repeating himself, "Sir, you’re not only dishonest, but also very stubborn."
"@#¥%...&(!"
The man in front suddenly uttered something, then disappeared on the spot, squeezing Ye Tian’s heart with apprehension.
Could this guy actually be from Japan!
Ye Tian turned back to Jenny and asked, "What he just said, did you understand it?"
"It was Sanskrit. He said, ’Please grant me the strength of the earth.’"
