The Beautiful Boss's Personal Bodyguard -
Chapter 108
Chapter 108: Chapter 108
"Sis, we’re just going to let this go?"
"Monks may run, but temples don’t. Let’s head back first."
With a "screech," the car came to a halt, and at the same time, a "ouch" emerged from the back of the car. The little beauty felt something hit the back of her seat; upon hearing that voice, it must have been a person.
Who else could it be? Pig Hu was still passed out in the car. If it wasn’t for the beauty’s braking, who knows when this guy would have woken up.
I don’t know if it’s because my ancestors are showing favor from beyond the grave or because I just look dignified, but when Pig Hu opened his eyes, he saw two hot babes. Moreover, the fabric covering their bodies was quite scant. This was really great.
Dazed, Pig Hu saw the two sisters poke their heads over from the front seat and exchange knowing smiles. Confused, he could only reply with a silly smile, "Two beauties, are... friends of Ye Tian? My name is Hu Xiaoye."
"I’m Mo Yan and I’m the older sister."
"I’m Mo Yu and I’m the younger sister."
"We’re both friends of Ye Tian." The sisters said in unison.
Pig Hu was clueless about when Ye Tian had become so popular. Mentioning his name, everyone was so in sync.
"Brother Hu, Ye told us he had some urgent business to attend to and left first, then asked us to go find him with you," Mo Yu elaborately narrated, "He looked really anxious, so we’d better hurry to find him."
Pig Hu was stunned, then burst out angrily, "Find who? That ingrate! Doesn’t appreciate a good person when he sees one. I came all this way to find him and he still doubts me. I’m not going! No matter what, I refuse to go!"
Pig Hu waved his hand grandly, crossed his legs, and sat on the back seat, resting his head to one side, looking determined not to go.
The sisters exchanged glances, Mo Yan gave a signal, and Mo Yu, catching on, began to act coyly, "Brother Hu, Ye realizes his mistake. He just told us that if it weren’t for you, he’d still be in the dark. He was just hotheaded, that’s why he said what he shouldn’t have. He really wanted to apologize, but, you know, he’s too proud to say it out loud."
Pig Hu twisted his neck incredulously, "Young lady, stop it will you. He has pride? Bullshit! He’s the type that would kneel for just one cent; he can pick two feathers from a chicken’s butt. He has pride? Hmph!"
Seeing that Pig Hu was stubborn as ever, the older sister Mo Yan lost her patience.
If Pig Hu kept stubbornly refusing, that would be that, but the guy kept sneaking glances at the sisters’ chests. He was asking for a smackdown.
"Whoosh!" A sleek dagger was drawn from Mo Yan’s bag and placed against Pig Hu’s neck, "Speak! Where’s Ye Tian? Take us there!"
The glittering knife blade was far more persuasive than harmless words. Pig Hu burst into tears on the spot, "Sister, sisters, please don’t kill me, I’m not involved, it’s all Ye Tian’s fault, please spare..."
"Shut up! Where is Ye Tian? Take us there!" Mo Yan’s grip tightened, leaving a red mark on Pig Hu’s neck.
"I’ll talk, I’ll talk!"
"Where is he!"
"Taoyuan."
As Ye Tian looked at these two characters, he couldn’t help but chuckle bitterly. After all the twists and turns, he was back at square one.
The Ferrari parked in front of Taoyuan at exactly one in the morning, and as soon as Ye Tian arrived, an attendant immediately approached him.
"Mr. Ye Tian?"
Ye Tian nodded.
"Young Master Lei has sent a message, inviting you to meet at Taoyuan tomorrow at noon."
"Why not now?"
"Young Master Lei said daytime is better, in the light of day, everything is clear."
Clear what?
According to Pig Hu, whether it was because of a collaboration between Lin Cheng’s gang and Lei Bao or for some other reason, Lei Bao had announced he’d be waiting for Ye Tian at Taoyuan, with the meeting set for the following noon. Meaning, no matter if Ye Tian arrived early or late, he would have to be at Taoyuan, waiting; and if he was late... waiting... for his own funeral.
This was Lei Bao’s mistake, Ye Tian thought as he laid in a hotel bed across from Taoyuan, his mind racing non-stop, still worried on behalf of others even at this time.
According to Ye Tian’s philosophy, one should keep trouble away from the family, but if they get dragged in, forget the nonsense and just go for the kill. Turns out this kid wanted to arrange a meeting for tomorrow at noon. What is this, trying to play the Noonday Demon execution in public? Nonsense!
Pig Hu didn’t reveal much and Ye Tian really had no intention to lie back down; he got up and took a seat. The table was next to the window which overlooked Taoyuan.
Only one cigarette left. Ye Tian took it out and sniffed it under his nose. It wasn’t that he was reluctant to smoke; he had simply forgotten his lighter again. An old habit, really, a reflex from his time in the Middle East where the extreme temperatures often led to lighters exploding while in one’s pocket. The explosion wasn’t a big event, but the noise could attract trouble. Better safe than sorry, so Ye Tian never carried a lighter.
In fact, on the battlefield, smoking a cigarette was a luxury, forget the need for a lighter.
Two fingers unconsciously tapped the cigarette butt on the table time and again, packing the tobacco tighter, the tip becoming hollow. Ye Tian watched Taoyuan, his mind tangled like the spiderwebs on the ceilings of old houses, layer upon layer, dense and overlapping.
What a mess! Sleep it is!
On both the doorway and window’s tracks were placed standing-up one-yuan coins, a makeshift alarm to warn against anyone sneaking in during the night; any noise, however slight, would wake Ye Tian instantly.
The night passed peacefully, with the moon hanging high in the sky. The next day at noon, Ye Tian finally got up and bought some pastries to fill his stomach before sauntering off to the entrance of Taoyuan, where the Ferrari he had conned was still parked. Taoyuan’s main entrance was only for pedestrians; vehicles were strictly forbidden and had to use the back entrance. It was as if someone was waiting to serve him; when Ye Tian arrived, a uniformed person was already there at the entrance waiting. Seeing Ye Tian, he greeted with a ninety-degree bow, "Mr. Ye, good to see you."
"Enough, enough, no need for all that. Seeing you bow, I’m reminded of the Japanese... You’re not really...?" With an uncertain expression, Ye Tian instantly realized that this person might well be the enemy from the other side of the ocean.
Seeing the uniformed person’s face suddenly jolt in reaction.
