Oberon had sent word the next day. Everyone was to be in the palace before noon. From the least to the greatest, was in the big hall, not wanting to miss out on anything.

They sat on the floor waiting for Oberon to come in and tell them what was happening.

"Everyone should respect the presence of the king, he enters the room!"

The people bowed, and Oberon walked into the room gracefully.

He made sure to stand above all of them, so everyone could see him speak.

Everywhere went silent.

"Today is truly a happy one," he grinned, feeling pleased.

"What has made our Alpha happy all of a sudden?"

"Did he get something precious?"

"He won a battle perhaps?"

"I will answer all of your questions, be patient."

The room went silent again.

He smiled, "You all know my mate, Selena, could not give me a heir."

They all shook their heads feeling sorry for him.

"Now, there is no need to be so sorry, I have good news."

Everyone listened attentively, "What could it be?" They murmured.

"I actually have a heir," he grinned.

The whole room went into a frenzy state, for the next few minutes, they just jubilated.

"But your majesty, you said Selena was unable to give you a heir, how come you say you have a heir?" Someone asked him from the crowd.

He straightened his face, "That is because, Selena is not his mother, she is not the mother of my heir."

Everyone was puzzled, "Then who is it?"

"Nyx, she is his mother."

At that moment, Nyx gracefully entered the room, all eyes on her, holding Archi by the hand.

Everyone gasped, "Nyx?"

Not minding their comments, she continued to walk till she got to where Oberon stood.

He looked at Nyx, secretly asking for permission to hold Archi. Playing along, she let him hold Archi.

"To the people of the lycanthropy pack, this is my heir, this is my successor, this is an affirmation of my throne."

Everyone cheered on, "Long live the king! Long live the king!"

Archi stared on, still at loss on what was going on. He turned to look at Nyx, who smiled at him and nodded. He sighed and looked forward, tightening his grip around Oberon’s hand.

"Do not be scared, I am here with you," he said.

The people bowed to give Archi his respect, "long live the king!"

"Now, I can assure the pack that everything is in place, the throne is safe, there should be no fear of any intruder."

They cheered on, jubilating with him.

"We can now sleep with our two eyes closed, not afraid of any battle!" A voice came from the back.

Though everyone laughed at the ’joke’ Oberon pondered that in his heart, if Nyx had not agreed, there could have been a battle.

"You all may proceed to the banquet," he announced.

Nyx sat outside the banquet hall, away from everyone.

"Why are you outside?" He asked.

She bit her lips, obviously irritated by his presence.

"I do not want you around, I want to be on my own," she replied calmly.

"Well.. I wanted to sit with you, for just a few minutes, please."

Nyx was in no mood to argue with him, she said nothing, looking away.

"I will take that as a yes," he smiled.

"If you say so," she rolled her eyes.

He sat beside her, "Thank you," he said softly.

She moved away from him so there could be some space in the middle. He twisted his lips, she really disliked him a lot now.

There was silence for that moment as he couldn’t find his words.

"Nyx.. I .. uhm.. thank you," he said.

"I only did because I had to, do not thank me, I did not do it for you."

"But you still did it," he pressed on.

"Ugh, that is.. it was for the pack.. it does not mean I have forgiven you or something."

"Oh come on, why?"

"You know the reason why, why do you still ask?"

He exhaled, ’If I keep asking her to give me a chance, it will not happen because she is not ready to do so.’

He sighed, "Hm, I do but.. it does not matter anymore, since you are refusing to see it, I will make you," he said calmly.

She looked at him, annoyed but said nothing, she stood up and walked out avoiding the little monster that wanted her to scream at him.

When she thought she was away from him, she breathed a sigh of relief, and sat down only to find him behind her.

"Why are you following me? Have you not done enough? You know very well I am going to refuse you, why bother yourself?"

"I am not bothering myself, I am only trying to make it up to you, nothing else."

"I do not want it," she said tiredly, "Can you not see that?"

He shook his head, "I do not want to see it."

She frowned, "Stop getting on my nerves, just go away," she turned around and walked away as fast as she could.

"I think I should leave from here, this can not go on, after all he has presented Archi to the pack, my job here is complete," she told herself.

"All I need to do is to find somewhere else, if they noticed I left, they would trace me to that house, I do not want that."

She held her head walking faster, "Curse this place!"

She clenched her fists, still suppressing her anger.

She got outside, in a few hours, the full moon would kiss the earth.

"I can not wait," she sighed and sat on the ground, "What is happening to me?" She croaked.

There was silence, the breeze gently grazing her skin, the birds flying back to their nests, the scent of the flowers filled her nose.

"Nyx..."

"I told you to stay away from..." she paused, in shock.

"Is it really you?"

She gasped, "Risa?"
