He seemed surprised at her request, "Why would you want to die for him? Just hand him over, it is as simple as that," he shook his head.

"No, take me instead, spare my child, please," her voice was choked.

Dora joined Nyx in pleading, "Yes sir, please, leave him alone. He is just a little pup."

He was annoyed and surprised, "Why are you being so stubborn? Just hand him over, it is as simple as that. Besides, you seem too young to start taking care of a child, just relieve yourself of this stress."

She stubbornly refused, "No, I will not give him to you, he is just a child."

He squinted his eyes, "Why must you be so stubborn?" He walked towards her.

She drew him back and enclosed him, "Leave him alone, let us go!"

Dora took Archi from Nyx and enclosed him, with all her courage, she squeezed herself in the tiny space between him and the doorway, making sure Archi was not hurt.

He looked at Nyx, "What is wrong with you? Do you know what that pup does to me? He causes me sleepless nights!"

She shook, "Just take me instead, leave him alone," she cried.

He turned around to go after Dora, but she held his legs to prevent him from leaving the room.

"Let go of me!" He tried to shove her away but she held tightly to his legs.

"Leave me alone! I have someone to go after!" He yelled at her angrily but she still did not agree to leave him alone.

Annoyed that she was not paying heed to him, he picked her up and shoved her aside roughly.

"Do not make me kill you and your child in one night!"

She screamed, "Let my Archi go!"

He hurried after Dora who had left the house in a bid to protect Archi.

Nyx was too weak to go after them, she crawled on the floor trying to go after them, Archi who was barely a week old had been taken out in the cold without any proper covering.

She was in tears, "Moon goddess, please do not let anything happen to to my Archi, I beg you please protect him," she cried.

She had crawled to the half open door but found no one there. She broke down completely bewailing her misfortune.

"Archi," she muttered still in tears.

Dora ran as far away as possible from the cottage, she was still at loss of where to hide because her head was now a total mess.

"Archi, nothing will happen to you, I will make sure of that," she spoke in his ears.

She heard loud heavy thuds behind her, she looked back and saw the rogue Lycan coming after her. She was terrified and increased her pace.

"Stop running, surrender and hand the baby over!"

"Never! I will not do it!" She continued running still searching for a convenient hiding place.

He growled, "You will not like it if I caught you!"

She shook her head and refused to stop, still enclosing Archi protectively.

The rogue Lycan cursed, but she still didn’t stop.

She was getting farther away from the cottage but she couldn’t stop, she had to keep running to get Archi to safety.

He was catching up on her but she still didn’t give up, she was determined to bring Archi to safety.

She took a sharp swerve to the right, the rogue Lycan was going too fast and missed the turn, he kept running forward unable to control his speed.

Dora was relieved, she had to go back but she knew they were still within danger’s grasp.

She was heaving heavily, she sat down on the ground to catch her breath, she rest her head against a rock and closed her eyes.

"We will be fine Archi," she whispered.

He began to cry, she looked at him, "Archi? Please do not cry now," she tried to pacify him, "That rogue is still near us, he might hear you cry."

Instead of her words pacifying him, it made it worse and he cried all the more. She was getting scared.

"Oh my goodness," though she was tired she stood up and moved away from that place.

She tried to coo him but it was not getting any better.

She was getting frustrated, "What is happening with you Archi? Please do not cry."

She heard footsteps behind her, she was surprised to see him, he was running towards her. She was terrified and ran as fast she could but unfortunately she was running out of breath.

She tried as much as she could to get away from him but it was now getting harder as she wanted to pacify the crying Archi at the same time get away from the rougue Lycan.

She got weak and fell to the ground on her knees.

She heard him laugh from behind, he got to where she was, "You thought you run away from me?"

He took Archi from her, "No! Let him go!"

He shook his head, "No, I can not let him live, he causes me sleepless nights, I do not know why."

She looked at him,"Then let us go away from here!"

He looked at her, "That will not work either," he then looked at Archi, hatred flashing in his eyes.

"You are a Lycan for goodness sake! He is just an ordinary werewolf," she told him still shocked a Lycan would feel threatened by a werewolf.

He looked at her, "One more word from you and I will cut you open," he threatened.

She heaved, and gulped, "Just let him go, he has not done anything to you, why would you eliminate a little pup?"

"That is because he is more than what you think he is! And he will be a threat sooner or later."

"To whom?"

"To the rogues of course... Why am I telling you these? I should just finish him off already."

He brought out a knife from his inner pockets.

"Off you go little pup," he grinned evily.

"No!" Dora stood up but he shoved her aside with a heavy blow. She fell to the ground weak.

He raised the knife to stab Archi but his hand hung on the air. His eyes popped out of their sockets. Archi was slipping out of his hands but Nyx caught him before he reached the ground.

Nyx had stabbed him from behind and it ran through his heart. Dora watched on in shock.

Nyx held Archi to her chest, "I came for you my child."
