"Alpha Oberon wants you to come back home."

She stood frozen to the spot, "He seriously wants me to go back to there?"

Dora creased her brows, "Alpha who?"

They both ignored her question.

"Yes, he really wants you to come back with me."

Nyx shook her head, "No, there is no way I am going back with you. I will not go back there!" She yelled.

He sighed, "You have to come with me, he wants you to come back."

She shook her head, "I will not go, I am staying here, I am better off living here in peace than going to die in that hell of a place!"

He held his head, "Please Nyx, do not make this any harder for me, you have to go with me, please."

She rolled her eyes, "Why? So he would begin torturing me again?"

Dora raised her brows, "Well? She does not want to go with you, why are you forcing it on her?"

He rolled his eyes, "I do not know who you are, but please stay out of this, this is between us."

She sneered, "You are forcing her against her own will, let her do what she wants, you can not just force her," Dora frowned.

Mark gave her a cold glare, "If you knew what was happening, you would have then had the right to chip in, but obviously, you do not."

"That does not matter, what matters is, she does not want to go anywhere with you, then do not force her," she stood her ground.

"Mark, I really appreciate all the troubles you went through just to find me, I am very sorry I am inconveniencing you but I do not want to go anywhere with you," she said with folded hands.

He frowned, "Why? What are you so scared of?"

"I am not scared of anything, I just do not want to go back there, that place is a living hell," she looked away.

"He is offering you to be his mistress, that is still not convenient for you?"

Dora gasped, "Are you listening to yourself? You want her to be a mistress? Really?"

Mark was getting annoyed by Dora’s unnecessary remarks, "You seriously should not chip in, why are you even here?"

"Why I am here is definitely none of your business, she is my friend so obviously I should be with her."

"Just give us some privacy please," he said firmly.

She refused but Nyx spoke up, "Just listen to him."

Dora looked at Mark, then at Nyx, she sighed and walked inside.

Mark faced Nyx, "Come on now Nyx, do not be so stubborn, he really wants you back. Why do you think I would have come this far just to come looking for you?"

She shook her head, "I honestly did not call for that, he was the one who put you through so much stress, not me, I never asked for it."

"Be considerate."

She furrowed her brows, "Oh really? Well, he was not so considerate towards me."

Nyx was definitely harder than he had thought, he told himself.

"You should just come with me and then sort out things with him."

She squinted her eyes, "If he wanted to sort out things with me, he should have come here by himself!"

"You want the Alpha to come... here?"

"Yes, he was the reason i am here in the first place."

Mark sighed, "Please Nyx, I am actually pleading with you, just come with me, that is all I ask for."

As it seems, Nyx was not ready to be persuaded so easily.

"If we leave this cottage, we have nowhere else to go."

"Are you planning on leaving this place? You know we can not!" Dora almost screamed.

"I do not have such courage," she shook her head slowly, "I honestly do not know how well to face him."

"Then what do you want to do? Run away? Where else will you go?"

"Why is he crying then?"

"Someone once told me that if babies cry when nothing seems to have disturbed them, then it is a sign, they are trying to tell you something."

"Again?" Nyx muttered.

"Yes, it might be a sign of an incoming danger and we have to be on the lookout for anything."
