Chapter 177: A new pup!

"You can do this Dora, come on... Just do it!"

Dora’s face contorted with anguish, "I do not want to do this anymore!" She shook her head, her whole face reddened in pain.

"Come on Dora, please push!" The midwife’s voice resounded again.

"Arggg!" She grabbed the sheets, "Ahhhh! That hurts!" She yelled.

"Come on, push! Push!"

Dora squinted her eyes, and tried pushing, she stopped to gasp for breath.

"Please, I do not want to do this anymore," she sniffed, "It is just too much,"

Elena was holding her hands, "Come on my dear, I am here with you, please push."

Dora shook her head, "Mother the pain is just too much," she sobbed.

"The pup’s head is almost out, come on! Push harder!"

Dora cried and tried pushing again, "Ahh! Arrrggg!"

Elena’s eyes filled with tears, "Please hold on a little more my dear, you can do this okay?"

"Arrrgg! Ahhnhh!" Dora kept screaming in pain.

The sounds of the pup’s little cries filled the room. Dora blinked her eyes, gasping for.breath, her whole body drenched in sweat.

"It is a werewolf!" The midwife cried in excitement.

Elena’s face beamed with joy, "Thank you dear moon goddess!"

Dora’s heaviing reduced. Elena stretched out her hand to receive the pup.

"We have to wash him first your highness. I will be back with the pup later," the midwife bowed and took the pup away.

Dora opened her mouth to say something, "Mother, where is my child?"

Elena patted her hand, "The midwife took him for washing, he will return soon."

Dora’s eyes grew heavier as Elena spoke, and she fell into a slumber.

"It is a werewolf!" Oberon laughed, holding the pup in his hands, "I am now an Uncle," he tapped the pup’s forehead a little.

Dora smiled at him weakly.

"I want to carry the pup too!" Archi folded his arms with a pout on his face.

Nyx chuckled, "You are still too young to handle the pup, he is still fragile."

"You should trust me, I can carry him properly!" He whined.

"Listen to what your mother says now Archi, sooner or later, you will get to carry him , no one will, but for now you can not."

Archi sighed, and looked away, clearly hurt by what they had said to him.

Elena sat close to Dora on the bed, "Come here Archi," Archi ran to meet her, and sat on her laps, still pouting.

"I am so happy for you Dora, you are now a mother," Nyx’s eyes twinkled with happiness.

Dora nodded, "I am.." she said, even though she wasn’t happy.

"Dora, where is his father anyways? I never asked, but now I am curious," Archi threw her the question she dreaded.

They all turned to look at him, and then back at Dora. She didn’t know what to say, she coughed, thinking of what she would reply him with.

"Archi, we can talk about this later, but for now that is not important," Oberon chipped in.

Archi squinted his eyes, "Or his father is going to meet him when he is six years old, just like the way I met father?. Right?"

Nyx bit her lips, and clenched her fists, unsure of why Archi was asking all these questions.

Dora was embarrassed, and looked away knowing fully well she never married Neriah in the first place.

"Archi, come here," Nyx forced a smile, and beckoned on him to come. He got down from his Elena’s laps, and went to meet her. She took his hand, and led him out of the room.

Oberon turned to face Dora, who had looked away, her face reddened in embarrassment.

"I.. am sorry Dora, I was not expecting him to ask all those questions," he walked towards the bed, and gave her the baby.

"No, it is fine, really."

Elena sighed, and ruffled her hair, "I know how you feel Dora, trust me everything will fall into place."

Dora scoffed, "Indeed."

There was a knock on the door, "Who is it?"

"Your majesty, someone wishes to speak with her lady."

"Hm? Who is that?" He asked himself, as he went to the door, and opened it.

"Who wants to see her?"

"He says his name is Kaelos, your majesty."

His face contorted with confusion, "Hm, k have never heard of him. Lead me to him."

The guard led the way to the living room where Kaelos was waiting for him.

Oberon stopped in his tracks when he saw him, "Kaelos?"

Kaelos stood up, "Oberon, it is good you are here," he smiled.

"Leave us," he told the guard.

Kaelos grinned, "I am here to see my son."

His face reddened in rage, "See your son?" He asked, his face dangerously quiet.

Kaelos sighed, "I know you all are angry with me, most especially Dora, but I.." he avoided Oberon’s eyes, "I just want to see him."

He wanted to refuse him, but then paused. Kaelos had felt Dora give birth!

He squinted his eyes to give him a closer look, "How.. did.. did you smell her?. A scent connection?"

He shook his head, "It was instinctual awareness," he moved closer, "Please.. let me see them."

Oberon bit his lips. Even though Kaelos had done something wrong to Dora, he still felt her pain from a distance.

"You.. are her mate," he hung his head, feeling defeated.

Kaelos’s face flushed, and he nodded, "Yes."

He opened his mouth to say something but kept quiet. He turned on his heels, "Follow me," he said.

A corner of his lips turned up, and he followed him into the inner rooms.

"Thank you so much Oberon, I really appreciate..."

"Do not thank me," he said firmly.

He led him to Dora’s Chambers. She was still on the bed, with the baby in her arms. Elena wasn’t in the room, so it was just Dora.

Oberon knocked on the door, and Dora raised her head, "Oh, you are back. Who was it?"

He sighed, and moved to the side revealing Kaelos.

Dora’s jaws slacked, "What are you doing here?"
