Chapter 169: Sudden Deaths
Oberon had saw this coming. One angry warrior who is just so loyal to his king.
He rolled his eyes, "Pathetic."
The warrior neared, blinded with rage. He drew out his sword, and swung at him.
Oberon dodged, and caught the sword. He twisted the arm of the sword bearer, and the sword hit him instead, causing a big cut.
"Does that feel good?" He grinned, and knocked him with his elbow.
The rest watched on, their jaws slacked with surprise.
"He has grown surprisingly strong," Thorne muttered.
Oberon turned to face the rest, "If you love yourselves, I would advice you just surrender yourselves," he intoned.
"Why would we do that? You are outnumbered, we could all rush in on you at once," Lucas sneered.
He scoffed, "Do not be such a child," he made the wolf’s fang symbol again, and shot at Lucas, inflicting him with injuries as well.
The warrior that had wanted to fight him, backed off in fear.
Oberon tilted his head, "Just surrender already. Stop being so proud. I hate to say this, but I will definitely wound it," he laughed.
"What do you want from us?" Thorne demanded.
"Watch your tongue now, you should be more polite," he grinned, his eyes showing slyness.
Throne felt humiliated, here a two hundred year old was telling him who had lived for almost six hundred years to watch his tone. He held his head in embarrassment.
"So, as I was saying, you all should surrender. Your companions are already in the crimson Den, it would be nice if you joined them."
"Join them in the Crimson Den? Are you crazy?" One of the warriors yelled at him.
He shook his head, maintaining the sly look in his eyes, "I am very sane. Hehe, I am trying to be polite, so just comply," she shrugged.
"No way you are telling us all that! Where is your shame boy?" Sabine, a warrior reprimanded.
"I would have said that too, but I have.. turned a new leaf," he sighed, "So, do not push me to the wall, thank you," his lips turned downwards.
"This is unbelievable!"
"It is now, is it not? It was not unbelievable when you all came in here, running in like mad dogs to infiltrate everywhere, was it?" He shot at Sabine with all of his energy in the chest. The beam went right through his heart, and Sabine fell to the ground, with a mad howl.
The rest of them began to panic. He was going crazy!
"We.. will do anything you ask, but please stop all this!" Thorne begged.
Oberon faced him with a sly smile, "Of course you will," he said patiently, "Now, I would like all of you to quietly go to the Crimsons Den, lest I kill you all."
Ryker, an Elder rushed towards him, "I will not let a child say this to me!" Oberon was quick to catch his hand, and direct his own energy back at him.
Ryker froze, as his eyes popped out of their sockets. He began to choke, and blood dripped out of his mouth.
"Oh, that was a close one," Oberon mocked, "I was so scared," he sneered.
He let go of Ryker, and he fell to the ground, holding his throat as he struggled for breath.
Oberon looked at his hand, ’Training with Dora did pay off. How come they decided to manifest now?’ He clenched his fists.
Thorne looked at the bodies of the wolves who lay lifeless, and his eyes travelled to Ryker who was still struggling for life.
"I would advice you to just obey my orders. I would obey my orders if I were you," he said with a smug smile.
"Come on, you all should surrender right this minute, or he will be wiped out in front of you all," he pointed to Thorne.
Throne eyes widened, and he raised his hands, "No! No! Please do not kill me I beg of you!"
Oberon held his face, and laughed out loud, this was better than he had imagined. Seeing them all shake with fear made him feel satisfied.
He sneered at Thorne, "So you fear death?"
Thorne was shaking like a leaf, he nodded frantically, "Please do not kill me," he begged.
Oberon sighed, "Do not make this boring please," he reached where Thorne stood, and placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Do not be scared, I actually like you. So outspoken," he traced Thorne’s jaw with his claw, "And I like outspoken wolves. They make me proud," he whispered.
Thorne’s heart raced as he felt Oberon’s palm on his shoulder. He tried to remain still, and composed but his body betrayed him.
"Do not be scared, I will not harm you," he patted his shoulder, and walked away from him.
"So, do you all agree to go to the Crimson Den, or you preferred to be killed here?"
"If we went to the Crimson’s Den, would we live?" Stubbe, a quite young warrior asked him.
"Oh, No. You will die anyway," he laughed, "But you get to live a little but if you turn out to be a good boy then I might consider you."
"Then what is the need of going to the Crimson’s Den? I rather die than near that place!" Stubbe screamed.
Oberon raised his brows, "Hm, okay you chose to die here. What an excellent choice," he walked to where Stubbe, and made him kneel down.
"Have a good afterlife," his grin reached his eyes. He thrust his left hand in his chest, and brought his heart out.
"Oh wait, you can not die yet," he chuckled, and showed Stubbe his heart.
"See how beautiful it is?" He showed the still beating heart to a traumatized Stubbe.
Oberon laughed, "Ha! You chose to die anyways!" He thrust a claw in the heart, creating a big hole. Blood flowed from Stubbe’s mouth, and the hole in his chest. He fell flat on his face and died.
The rest of them yelled in terror.
"So, who is next?"
