Chapter 120: One big family

Chapter 120: One big family

Dora saw him walking off into the forest. She ran after him, calling his name.

"Oberon, Oberon wait!"

He stopped to look at her. He hadn’t gone that far so she could catch up with him.

"Is anything the problem?" He arched his brow as she came up to meet him.

She shook her head, "no, I wanted to tell you something."

"And that is?"

"Mother told me the reason why she did not tell you, you were a Lycan."

"Okay?"

"It is an awkward story," she sighed and shook her head.

"What did she say?"

"She did it so Aegis could believe you were an Alpha and leave you alone. She feared if he knew you were a Lycan, he would kill you too."

He arched his brow, "that was not good, was it?"

"I guess not."

"I have been living as an Alpha for two hundred and fifty years," he rolled his eyes, "how great," he said sarcastically.

"Hey, do not talk that way, she did it to protect you," she sighed.

"Hm, I guess so, now revealing my Lycan self is kind of becoming a nightmare," he gritted his teeth.

"Just be calm and patient, with time, you will definitely master that art."

He rolled his eyes and sat down, "this is so not funny," he bit his lips.

She held his shoulder, "you do not have to be so angry about it, just give it some time."

He held his head, "how I wish.." was all he could mutter.

"You will be fine," she smiled softly at him.

He looked up at her, "hmm, let us try that again," he curled his lips.

"Okay, if you say so," she nodded, "let us try it again."

"Let us try with spell casting," she sighed.

"Okay then," he nodded.

"Repeat after me, Οί δευρο πρός (O winds, come here to the master.)

He raised his brow, "hmm."

He closed his eyes, "am I supposed to just say it without doing anything?"

"I think it is best you master the words first," she rolled her eyes.

"Here we go," he muttered, "Οί δευρο πρός Nothing happened.

He opened his eyes, "here we go," he gritted his teeth.

Dora shook her head, "this might take a while," she gulped.

She closed her eyes and spread her arms, "Οί δευρο πρός At once, the winds began to blow in the direction Dora stood.

Oberon was dumbfounded, "it works! It worked for you!"

She shrugged, "it is supposed to work though, I am a Lycan," she grinned at him.

"It does not work for me," his lips went downwards.

"Just keep trying, I am sure, you will get it with constant practice," she assured him.

"Hopefully," he sighed and chanted the spell words again yet nothing happened.

"Why is it not working?" He growled.

"You have to be patient, being angry won’t help you," Dora held her head and shook her head, "you are such a character."

He got frustrated, "what is the use?"

"You are a Lycan, you can not just give up, that would be wrong. Try again!"

He was getting tired but it seemed he could not object, "Οί δευρο πρός he hoped something would at least happen.

Yet, the winds seemed still.

"Agh!"

Dora was also confused, "why is it not working? You are getting the spell words right, what else is wrong?" She bit her lips in thought.

"I might not be a Lycan then, this was hidden from me for two hundred and fifty years. It must have died by now."

"We should not conclude, there is something we are not doing right," she bit her nails in thought.

"You should stop worrying yourself, I am tired already," he sat down.

"Oberon," she drawled.

"What do you want me to do? If it seems not to work, then let it be," he shrugged.

"Hmph, now that is not right. Nyx would not be happy to hear this," she shook her head in disapproval.

Oberon looked at her, "she would understand, would she not?" He said softly.

She went to sit beside him, "Oberon, I understand how stressed you must be but you should not let them get to you, you should stand tall," she patted his hand.

He turned to face her and managed to smile, "I appreciate your kindness. Thank you."

She warmly embraced him and he returned it.

At that moment, Elena came out of the house. She saw Dora and Oberon in each other’s arms and she smiled.

Dora reminded her of her late daughter and she wished her daughter was still alive.

She rested against the door, watching them for a while.

"They would make good siblings though. How I wish they were siblings," she watched them with love in her eyes.

She shook her head when she realised what she was saying and laughed, "it is not my fault, I only wish I had a daughter," she sighed sadly remembering how her daughter was kidnapped and she never saw her again.

She thought of going to meet them but she did not want to spoil the moment so she went back inside.

They finally settled for that night. Elena had volunteered to make dinner for everyone and she also served them.

Archi sat down beside Oberon.

"Father," he called.

"Hmm?"

"Would you feed me?"

Oberon turned to look at him, "feed you? Why?"

He pouted, "mother used to feed me."

"Oh, I.. see."

Elena quickly chipped in, "I will feed you child. Come here," she patted her legs.

He grinned and went over to meet her, "yay!"

Dora exchanged glances with Oberon. They commutated with telepathy.

’Should we tell her?’ Dora asked.

’we will, but after dinner.’

She curled her lips and continued eating even though she was very impatient.

Oberon noticed her impatience and smiled, he knew she wanted to identify her as mother very soon.

He faced his mother who busying herself, feeding her grandpup.

’She shall get to know soon. I can not wait to see her reaction,’ he thought to himself.

"I think I am done," Archi shook his head to avoid another spoon.

"Are you sure?" Elena patted his head.

"Yes, I can not take in any more," he got down from her laps.

"Have some water dear," she handed him a cup of water.

He drank it all and gently placed it on the table, and ran off to his room to play.

Dora looked up, her impatience was getting the better of her.

"Mother.." Oberon called.

"Yes?"

"There is something we would like to tell you," he said.

She rested back on her chair, "okay? What is it?"

He smiled, "you know, we all know how much you missed Dora back then."

Dora blushed and dropped her gaze.

Elena’s eyes softened, "Yes, I did."

"What if I said, you do not have to miss her anymore?"

She creased her brows, "what do you mean?"

"Well.." he hesitated, "she is right before you."

Elena turned to look at Dora and blinked, "what?"

"Yes, she is Dora. My sister, your daughter."

The spoon in her hand fell and she placed her hands over her mouth.

"Dora?"

She nodded, tears in her eyes.

"Yes mother."

Tears rolled down her cheeks, "you were alive all these while?"

She nodded, "yes mother."

Elena was still dazed, "but.. how.. how come I never recognized you?"

She shrugged, "I.. I do not know."

Elena stood up and went over to her chair, she made her stand up.

"My child," she said softly.

Dora hugged her tightly, "I finally found you Mother," she sobbed.

Elena too began to sob while Oberon watched them in disbelief. Why did the she werewolves have to cry over everything?

"You are alive! You are really alive!"

"Yes mother," she nodded, "I am alive."

"Oh, how I wish Alcide could have seen you too."

Dora was sad that she could not meet her father but at least she had her brother and her mother.

"That is okay. I have you, I have Archi, I have Oberon, there is no more to ask for."

Elena patted her back and they disengaged, "of course, you have us."

She held her face, "from today, I will make sure I take good care of you. I will make up for those years we lost."

Dora smiled sadly, "I am looking forward to that," she sniffed.

They hugged again, and began their sobbing spree.

Oberon stood up, "that is enough, why are you two crying?"

They disengaged from the hug and Elena wiped her eyes.

"They are tears of joy, nothing else," she laughed.

"Are you also crying with ’tears of joy?’" he asked Dora.

"Of course I am, I am happy too."

"How come I am not involved in this?" Archi asked, frowning at them.

They all laughed, "you are also involved," Elena beckoned on him to come.

"We are one big family, I guess," Dora shrugged.

Oberon managed to smile, Nyx was not a part of them.

"I guess," he muttered.

"We all stop being gloomy. Let us celebrate!"
