ZINA
One of the reasons why Zina had never been too distraught at her lack of sight was because the WolfKnight’s had managed to convince her that seeing was not that wonderful. Not with all the horrors that existed in the world.
They weren’t exactly wrong. The world was indeed quite horrifying to the point many choose to close their eyes against such horrors. But they had failed to tell her that there were some sights that one would kill for... some glimpses a blind man would trade his life to see even if it is just for once.
And one such sight was that of Daemon’s lips.
In that case, I must show you how to bid a proper farewell.
The world around Zina slowed down in motion, zeroing to her looking up expectantly at Daemon, and his lips descending for hers. Reason eluded her as she arched up to him thinking that his wonderful lips were taking way too much time to merge with hers.
Their bodies weren’t touching, and it felt wrong. Zina could not shake off the overwhelming urge to wrap her hand against his shoulders until she drew all of him closer to him.
Their lips were finally mere inches apart when Zina breathed softly, relieved that the tortuous descent that in reality had taken a mere three seconds was finally over. She shut her eyes waiting for the kiss, but it never came.
Instead, what came was his voice in her ears once again. The man must be a serial whisperer for it would seem that he loved whispering in her ears more than anything.
"It would be any man’s pleasure to teach the incorruptible Theta how to bid a proper farewell, but do you think you’re ready for your first introduction to a world that is foreign to you?"
Zina gulped, and then she swallowed, suddenly feeling parched. His words were daring her, and Zina had never been one to back down from a challenge. Especially not one posed by Daemon NorthSteed nonetheless.
A world that is foreign to her?! As if!
Daemon must have thought her a prude because she seemingly knew nothing about the matters of intimacy. Only if he knew how wrong he was. As Theta, her ears had been subjected to the vilest, most underhand gossip of scandals, big scandals, and even bigger scandals.
That didn’t even include all the lewd sounds that she heard with her ears the countless number of times she walked onto one of such under the sheets mingling... and that didn’t even include the torture Audrey Bashir, the Theta of the Vagrant Pack subjected Zina to by giving her a detailed, narrative slash descriptions on ’human anatomy and the carnal desires of all werewolves’.
Daemon didn’t know that her mind was far from innocent. But she would soon show him that he was no prude.
Sure, knowing about the workings of such things was far from practice. But how far would practice steer away from theory? Surely not by so much?
"Show me." She said equally as daring, her eyes on Daemon’s. She had heard that one of the most turbulent things in their world was the sea tides of the Iron Coast of the West whenever the full moon was out. So even without ever actually seeing it, Zina knew that Daemon’s eyes were as turbulent as that of a raging tide.
Daemon’s hands found its resting place on her waist, encasing her into a fire that seared into her soul as he tugged her closer to him. His breath was now her breath.
"You must understand that when it comes to passion two things never lie; the feel and the touch."
Zina blinked, confused. "What about the sight?"
Daemon chuckled as if reveling in some private joke Zina knew nothing of. "Passion is best felt blind."
So like a good student, Zina shut her eyes. Then stretched out her hand to touch Daemon’s broad shoulders.
If his hand on her waist burned her, then no word could possibly describe what the feel of shoulders in her arms felt like. A different kind of power possessed her like a mad woman, and she tugged him even closer, still trapped in a blindness that was achingly familiar but was laced with anticipation and barely disguised yearning.
A voice screamed in her head that for the power she needed, she shouldn’t be dancing at the edges of raw desire. But her wolf screamed for a different kind of power; a power that only Daemon could fill.
It took long enough, but finally, his lips were on hers.
....
....?
His lips were surprisingly soft and firm, pressing against hers in a soft kiss that made her toes tingle. The cloak that hung on her shoulders slipped, pooling on the floor as Zina could only feel herself pulled into Daemon’s all like a command she could not resist.
Thump. Thump. Thump. Went the wild beat of her heart.
This time, the world around her didn’t come to a stop. Instead, the entire world just disappeared.
Here, it was only her and Daemon that existed.
His lips left hers momentarily, and Zina could not find it in her to open her eyes for she was ingraining every shock and tremor that ran through her body at that kiss. She was imprinting it in her memory, unwilling to forget any detail of her first kiss.
But control spiraled away from her when his lips slammed back against hers harshly like a man walking on the throes of hunger. His teeth gazed at her lips, and Zina gasped as if spluttering for air.
That was all the opening that he needed for his tongue slipped into her mouth, kissing her like a mad man. His hands on her waist tightened, drawing her in as Zina ran her hands all over his shoulders trying to find a footing.
A moan slipped out of her lips unbidden, and she clutched Daemon’s clothes like it was a lifeline as she found that she had lost her footing.
One of Daemon’s hands crept up from her waist, coming to rest at the nape of her neck where the mark rested. He caressed it, and Zina shuddered, moaning at the onslaught of sensation triggered by everything he was doing to her.
She was feeling way too much, and she understood way too less of what was happening to her body.
She didn’t understand how her skin was so alive and how she had lost herself in that kiss . She didn’t understand how all she could feel was Daemon NorthSteed hard pane of muscles while not having an inkling of her own existence.
It was like she had disappeared into a puddle of mess, while Daemon had taken her place to show him his world.
Pleasure.
Tears of deep sated satisfaction stung Zina’s eyes as she drew Daemon impossibly closer to herself. Her breasts hidden under her plain slip was crushed against his chest, and the space between her thighs clenched impossibly as if it had possessed a mind of her own.
The kiss could have lasted for just ten seconds, but for Zina, it went on for eternity. The hard press of his wet lips on hers. His tongue dancing with hers. His teeth that bit and grazed against her lips to a point that Zina was sure Daemon’s mission was to drive her crazy. His fingers that stroked her waist and his mark on her, rightfully laying his claim. And her heart that beat wildly and blossomed like a rose decorated with thorns.
As Zina tugged him closer instead of pushing him away as she should, she knew it then that her younger self was right; if she were to survive their brutal world, she must guard her heart and mind against Daemon NorthSteed.
The only problem was the more Daemon kissed her, the more Zina was uninterested in guarding anything of hers against him.
