Chapter 55: Lover for the Night

“Sit down. There’s no need for you to be so tense or so nervous. Just relax...” Darius instructed calmly.

The woman smiled politely before seating herself down on the sofa opposite to where Darius was casually seated. Although she was told about this meeting with the prince beforehand, she still felt extremely nervous now that she was alone in the room with him. Her eyes darted to the large bed located not too far from where she was seated before a slight blush rose to her cheeks as she thought about what was soon to come.

“What’s your name?” Darius asked casually.

“My name is Linda, Your Highness,” Linda replied politely.

“Call me, Darius. There’s no need to be so formal with me. Tonight, you’re my lover...” he instructed.

His words took her completely by surprise. She had heard that Prince Darius is a very straightforward person, but she never thought that he would be this straightforward. His honest words calmed her down and she had to admit to herself that she preferred him this way because she wasn’t a fan of pretenses. A genuine smile curved her lips as she thanked fate and the heavens for granting her the chance to serve Prince Darius instead of the other princes.

“Thank you...Darius...” Linda said a little hesitantly.

Darius’ grey eyes focused on Linda’s face while taking in her beautiful features. All women selected as honorable maidens looked pleasing to the eyes, so he wasn’t at all surprised that the same applied to Linda. She was beautiful in every sense of the word, and he couldn’t find any fault in her looks. The caretakers also did a fine job of selecting a dress that complimented her figure and her complexion. The midnight blue dress that she had on brought out the beauty of her eyes and the curves of her breasts.

“Is this your first time?” Darius asked straightforwardly.

“Umm...yes...” she replied softly as she looked down at her politely folded hands on her lap.

“I see...” Darius murmured.

“Are you...displeased?” Linda asked with clear worry in her voice.

“You are too kind, just like they all say...” Linda replied with a small smile.

“You’re giving me more credit than I deserve. Unfortunately, I have some business to take care of after this. If you don’t mind, shall we get started?” Darius suggested.

His grey eyes stared directly into her blue ones and all she could do was nod her head. The prince stood up from his seat and she immediately did the same. Linda stood still as she tried to calm the rapid beating of her heart by taking in deep breaths. Darius took a few steps towards her to close the distance between them. His grey eyes never left her beautiful face. Now standing right in front of her, he raised his hand slowly towards her face before he traced his fingertips along the fine skin of her cheek.

Linda stared into the prince’s grey eyes as she felt lost in their depths. His eyes were so unreadable but she didn’t mind at all. His fingers slowly traced a line down from her cheek to the side of her neck before proceeding even lower to caress her collarbone. His touch on her sensitive skin felt so pleasurable and it took all her effort to stop herself from moaning out loud.

Suddenly, his hand dropped away from her. Linda’s eyes widened in surprise before she felt his arm around her waist as he pulled her body closer to his. She felt his body heat against her as their bodies pressed up against each other.

“I won’t be scared of you, My Prince...” she replied softly.

“Call me, Darius...” he whispered close to her ear.
