“Did the prince just ask you on another date?” Jessie asked excitedly.

“It’s not quite like that...” I replied with a smile.

It wasn’t simple to explain to them what was really going on and I doubted that they would believe it even if I told them that I could somehow see one of the prince’s memories. Instead of trying to explain it to them, I decided to simply smile and keep it a secret between the prince and me.

“I’m so envious of you sometimes. The prince is so in love with you...” Jessie said followed by a long sigh.

“I’m...not so sure about that...” I murmured softly.

“Umm...can you tell us more about the trip that you went on?” Salena asked abruptly.

“I didn’t know you were that curious about it. I guess I’m not the only one dying to know more,” Jessie said excitedly.

“I guess...” Salena murmured.

“Sure. Overall, the trip was busy but fun and as I mentioned before, I got to visit my hometown as well,” I said brightly.

I spent the day relaxing with my two friends until dinner time arrived. They helped to fill me in about what happened in the palace while I was gone, and in return, I told them about my trip.

**Later that night**

The library where Darius and Salena regularly met up was quiet and isolated as always. Salena entered the library after looking cautiously from side to side to make sure that no one saw her. Her heart began beating faster in her chest as she made her way inside the library before closing the door firmly behind her. She was right on time, and she knew that Darius was probably already inside waiting for her. She had always been anxious about meeting up with the prince alone ever since the first time that they met but now there was another reason that made her heart leap uncomfortably in her chest. Their meetings where Salena was supposed to report to the prince about what Mila was up to had gradually turned into something more.

“Come sit here on my lap,” Darius said invitingly when he saw Salena approach him.

He had been expecting her and found her slightly cautious attitude fascinating. Salena fidgeted before slowly approaching the prince. He patted his lap where he wanted her to sit as he observed her shy face.

“Prince Darius...” she murmured her greeting before slowly lowering herself onto his lap.

His arms circled her waist and drew her body closer to his. She let out a small cry of surprise but did not resist as she settled comfortably on his lap and let him hold her. Her heartbeat sped up when she realized just how close the prince was now to her.

“You can call me Darius. How many times do I need to remind you?” he asked teasingly as he reached his hand up to stroke her hair.

Darius began kissing the side of her neck and Salena ended up moaning from the pleasure of his warm lips moving against her sensitive skin.
