The Alpha King And His Omega
Chapter 29 - 029

Chapter 29: 029

Tristan woke up with the strong arms of the Alpha around him firmly, their bare skin touching reminded him of what they had done the previous night.

He pulled the cover away and tried to get away and that only made the Alpha’s grip tighten.

Tristan gave up after a few trials and let him hold him. And he slowly went back to sleep with the Alpha.

When he next opened his eyes, the Alpha was gone and the door flung open causing him to pull the cover over himself.

"Tristan!" Mariah’s excited shriek made Tristan shudder before he peeked out of the covers.

The news of his return had spread like wildfire and everyone was coming to confirm the truth.

"It’s really you!" She exclaimed, pulling the cover away from his face to reveal his face.

"Yes," Tristan whispered back.

"It’s good to have you back" She said and hugged him.

"No wonder he placed a guard at every metre of this place. You are truly back" she repeated and shook him excitedly.

"You see for the weeks you were gone or is it a month already?

Mitch almost lost his mind, he searched, killed, beat and committed all sorts of atrocities.

I wasn’t even spared and almost sent me away because I could not stop crying" She rambled on

Tristan prayed for a way out as she talked on without any stop.

She was like a kid even if she was a couple of years older than him.

"We would go out together today. Get dressed" She said in excitement.

"Don’t you ever think of doing that, I would have you thrown in a sea full of sharks" Alpha Mitch said from the door.

He had walked in and none of them had heard or seen him.

"You won’t dare, Mom would have you locked in a prison for eternity" She yelled while glaring at him.

In the absence of the Omega she had helped in searching for him endlessly and even fell sick that he ordered her to not step out of the house until she was well.

But now that the Omega had returned, their arguments and bickers had returned.

"Tell him, you would like to go out right?" Seeing that she was about to lose the argument she turned towards Tristan and he slowly nodded as he couldn’t refuse her.

Alpha Mitch’s eyes narrowed at the both of them.

"Okay, now get out," he ordered, pointing at the door.

Mariah scoffed before bumping into him as she left but still turned to waved happily at Tristan.

Once they were alone, Tristan avoided the Alpha’s gaze and turned away.

"We need to talk" Alpha Mitch announced before he sat down beside him on the bed.

"I spoke to your maid this morning, and she won’t confess.

Where were the both of you?" He asked softly, he was trying to unravel the mystery behind their disappearance and thought the maid would be a good source for necessary information but seeing how she was saying total bullshit infuriated him.

He had her locked up and he decided to come to Tristan even after he decided not to bother the Omega.

"We didn’t go anywhere," Tristan replied after a little hesitation. He could see the Alpha was all worked up and probably trying to be gentle with him.

"How often do you lie?" Alpha Mitch asked suddenly in a gentle tone.

"Lie?

I...I don’t lie" Tristan said in panic as he realised he doesn’t believe or trust his words.

"I’m telling the truth, we never left. We were in the room, you came earlier and left a few minutes later" Tristan hurried to say while still stumbling on words.

Alpha Mitch paused and ran a hand through his hair in frustration. If they never left then what happened? He thought silently.

Seeing the Alpha’s suspended head, Tristan grow weary with worry.

Was he pissed at him?

"How long have I been gone?" Tristan asked softly as he was trying his best to understand what was happening.

"Twenty days" he replied and lifted his head.

His eyes held some sadness that made Tristan feel his heart contrast in pain.

"Twenty days?!

How is that possible? I was in the room you even came in!" He asked as everything was getting more confusing for him.

"Don’t think too much about it. I will find answers" he assured him and left the room.

He called for Gale when he returned to his office.

He paced the space in his office with his hands behind his back.

"He has no idea on how long he was gone or where he was. For three weeks, he left no traces and that only means one thing" Alpha Mitch said, saying his thoughts out loud.

"One of those old geezers took him," he said with a smirk.

The change in his expression made Gale panic as he walked in to see him talking to himself.

He knew the Alpha would get to the bottom of everything and that had made him regret the decision to contact Agatha again.

"We can’t be too sure".

Gale countered and he nodded in agreement.

"If it was just him, I would assume he was just out of sorts but they were two. And their clothes. How do you explain that?" He asked, his conviction stronger than ever.

Gale could not utter another word.

If the Alpha gets pissed, then no words can change anything not to mention that it involved his Omega.

How the hell did he get so obsessed with the Omega?

"We would meet all of them, send an invite. Including in it that it is compulsory all of them attend. They shouldn’t make me find them!" Alpha Mitch uttered in an angry tone and sent him off.

Gale stood outside his office and contemplated on what to do.

There was no way to prevent the Alpha from finding out the truth if he invited the Guardians.

"I need to tell him the truth" He muttered under his breath as the consequences of getting caught scared him.
