The Alpha: Claiming His Enemy's Daughter
Chapter 866: AN IMPORTANT AND URGENT THING FOR LU

Chapter 866: AN IMPORTANT AND URGENT THING FOR LU

Abby had thought about this carefully. She had told Iris a few secrets about the Holy Kingdom and now when the situation came to this and there was no way out for her and the baby, it would be better if she sided with the people, who could protect them.

In her eyes, Iris was more than capable. With Cane and his warriors behind him, that was a remarkable force that could support Iris’s claim for the title of the Serafim.

The elders couldn’t do anything because they had witnessed it with their own eyes, so did thousand of knights of how powerful Iris was. There was no denying it.

However, Iris didn’t seem excited to hear Abby’s plan. She leaned her back against the backrest and stared at her. She was deep in thought.

"I know this is too much for me to ask."

"This is indeed too much." Iris agreed to her statement, which made Abby flustered. "I am thinking whether or not I want to know about this Rei person."

Abby bit her lip, she placed her hand over her stomach out of instinct. Iris caught her movement and her eyes darkened. She knew that feeling very well. Her instinct to protect their precious one.

Iris mirrored Abby’s movement, as she glanced at her two little lights that rested on her laps.

"Since you said that you have met with him, I am sure you are the one, who he has been looking for," Abby said. There was no doubt of that.

"Why he was looking for me?" This was the question that had been bothering her. Or, to be precise, why he was looking for Na and how he was still alive? Why he was using black magic when he was originally Na’s protector.

Now the questions started flooding Iris’s mind.

However, Abby didn’t answer that question. She had said the right thing to get Iris’s curiosity and now the decision was in her hands.

"Please, think about this. I am on your side now." Abby didn’t have another choice, this was the best thing she could do to save Liam and there was no way she would sacrifice Cedric in this serious offense.

"You are only on my side when it’s convenient for you," Iris stated, which made Abby avoided her eyes, too embarrassed to even look at her.

With that, Iris left the carriage and not long after they set off toward Winter Moon pack. With this long entourage, it would take them four days and during that time, Lu spent them inside the carriage, sleeping.

During the new moon, he shifted into his beast form, but he didn’t do much, only needed cuddles and a lot of scratching behind his ears, just like Lil Thing.

The lycan only came out occasionally or when he looked for Iris because she was not in the carriage when he woke up, after that he couldn’t care less about anything else. His plan was plain and simple; fighting and killing his way to get a hold of Winter Moon pack.

With that, Jace and Ethan came up with more strategy of how they would do it, since their enemies had a bunch of dark magic users. They were not trivial matter. Cezi and Arche helped with this too, so did Cedric and Liam.

The magic users under alpha Colter were still chained up, along with the royal warriors, who still refused to pledge their loyalty. There were some warriors, who were left behind to look after them and the member of Diandem pack also helped with this task.

The monsters that Iris had tamed were guarding the pack from the outside, just in case something unexpected happened.

"I will do it, go and sleep." Ethan took the rope, as Aliana was arranging it for future used.

"I am almost done," Aliana replied, as she continued with what she was doing, but Ethan didn’t let her.

"It’s a long and difficult journey, you need to rest."

Hearing that, Aliana chuckled. "We are in this journey together, Ethan. What made you think that it was less difficult for you than for me?"

Ethan mumbled something incoherently. After that kiss, he felt a little bit awkward with how normal Aliana was, as if it had never happened, he almost doubted himself and started to think that he only dreamed about it.

"If you are being stubborn, let’s do it together then," Aliana suggested, she picked the rope again and this time, Ethan was unusually quiet.

The two of them fiddled with this rope, squatting down near the carriage, while the other warriors busied themselves with their own task. Above them was the crescent moon.

"Aliana."

"Hm?"

"About the kiss..."

Aliana suddenly stood up, which startled Ethan. "I think you are right, I need to sleep. It’s a long day." She was about to leave, but Ethan held her hand tightly.

The gamma stood up and stared at her closely, suddenly a mischievous grin appeared on his lips.

"What are you smiling for?" Aliana narrowed her eyes to see the look on Ethan’s face. Under the soft light of the moon, you could see how she blushed and this made Ethan more than happy to see this reaction.

Well, Aliana was not really ignorance like how he thought of her.

"What?" Aliana snapped because Ethan kept giving her this look, while grinning like a creep. "What do you want?"

Ethan didn’t answer her, but he simply pecked on her lips. It happened very quick, as if the gamma only wanted to see her reaction for his action, bluntly, Ethan waited for Aliana to be mad or even slap him, but when she didn’t do any of that and the two of them only stared at each other like a fool, he pecked her lips again, this time he stayed a second longer, before he withdrew and waited for her reaction.

This time, Aliana didn’t protest too, thus Ethan did the same thing and his kiss lasted a little bit longer.

"If you want to kiss her just do it, what the hell with those pecks?"

Aliana screeched and Ethan almost jumped out of his skin when the two of them heard Redmond’s voice. The tension between them was very real, they didn’t even notice him had been watching them.

"What the hell are you doing there?!" Ethan snapped. "Are you a creep?!"

Redmond scoffed, he scrunched his nose disdainfully. "Do you really think it’s enjoyable to watch your lame kiss? I can do better than that." Redmond raised his hand to stop Ethan from screaming his head off. "That lycan wanted to see you, let’s go now!"

Ethan couldn’t believe it! What a mood breaker! He wanted to kick his ass and sent him back to Blue Moon pack. He had not even kissed her yet!

Ethan turned his head and looked at Aliana’s red face. He wanted to continue but the mood was not right.

"Go, the lycan will cause trouble if you kept him waiting." Aliana pushed Ethan away, she wanted him to go, because it was too embarrassing.

"I can’t believe I say this... but, I miss our alpha..." Ethan groaned pitifully.

After Ethan left, Aliana sighed deeply, but she screeched again when she saw her brother. Jace emerged from the shadow of the tree.

"What?!" Aliana snapped at him, she became unnecessarily defensive now.

However, Jace just walked past her, while holding up his hands, as if he didn’t mean any harm. "No comment," he said, as he walked away, but then after a few steps, he stopped and glanced over his shoulder. "If you are going to do it, do it in private. People are watching."

Aliana groaned. "I will not do it again!"

"Well..." Jace shrugged his shoulders. "Poor Ethan."

Meanwhile, Lu asked for Redmond, Ethan and Jace to meet him because there was an important thing he wanted to say to them.

"I am only going to ask you once, so listen carefully," Lu said, he leaned his back against the carriage behind him, while the three shifters waited for what he was going to ask with serious expression.

Currently, Iris was inside the carriage, she was sleeping.

"What is it?" Redmond asked he scrunched his brows, because this lycan didn’t talk and let the tension hang in the air.

"Tell me... where can you get Golden Seed fruit?" Lu finally asked.

Ethan, Jace and Redmond blinked their eyes. They thought they gathered here with the instruction to meet with Lu immediately because this lycan had something really urgent and important to say, but as it turned out he only asked this...? What he actually asked?

"What are you staring at?" Lu was not happy because they didn’t reply to his question. "So, do you know where to find that fruit?"

"This is the important thing that you want to discuss with us?" Redmond asked, his voice was devoid from any emotions.

"This is important thing. Iris mentioned she wanted to eat the fruit." Of course, this was very important for Lu!

"Is this really important?!" Redmond raised his voice, but Ethan immediately held him back because he got beaten up by the lycan.

"Calm down! Do you want to get killed?" Ethan hissed fiercely at Redmond.

"Did you just raise your voice at me?!" Lu growled, his red eyes shone brightly with rage and Jace immediately jumped between them.

"We don’t think you can find the fruit now, unless you asked for Lou’s help, because..."

"Where is he?" Lu didn’t even wait for Jace to finish his sentence.
