The Alpha: Claiming His Enemy's Daughter
Chapter 786: WALK WITH ME

Chapter 786: WALK WITH ME

Ethan rushed toward Aliana’s tent, from the look of it, once could tell there was storm that was ragging inside of him that he couldn’t control.

He opened the curtain that covered inside of the tent and immediately entered against the protest from Jace. He shoved the beta aside and the latter could only sigh deeply.

"The Serafim is taking care of her," Jace said helplessly. He went straight to the tent when he heard Aliana was hurt during the last battle. There was an ambush and she couldn’t heal quickly because of the black magic from their opponent. Those bastards really knew how to utilize their magic and now, it was no longer taboo to use it even in the presence of the Serafim.

It seemed, Decratic didn’t care anymore whether the whole world knew about the black magic user under him. This was pretty concerning because the only person in their side, who could dispel all the black magic effectively was only the Serafim, but she was not that strong to be able to have a face off against Decratic.

But, to get Iris involved in this matter...

They couldn’t even have a discussion about it, since Cane would let out a murderous aura every time the topic about Iris was brought up and they could understand, but with that they met with this stalemate situation.

"How is she?" Ethan asked, his voice was raspy, his eyes were ablaze with concern and anger. "How is her wound?" He asked through his gritted teeth, scaring Abby.

"She will be fine," Abby replied. "I have purified the black magic and her healing ability will pick up from there. She will be fine by tomorrow," she said to calm the gamma down.

"Are you sure?" Ethan was being sceptic. If it was Iris, he wouldn’t question it, but since it was Abby, he didn’t think this Serafim was care enough to double check on Aliana, since both of them were not close and she was here only out of obligation.

But, his question hurt her, though she didn’t show it.

"I am sure, you can be at ease," Abby replied. She didn’t want this negative feeling affected her. "Let her rest and she will be fine," she said in small voice and then excused herself.

After Abby left, Aliana gave Ethan a look. "You don’t need to be rude with her," she chided him lightly, but the gamma didn’t seem to care.

Right now, Aliana had to face two men, who overly worried about her and she couldn’t help, but sighed deeply.

"Both of you can calm down, you know. It’s not like I am going to die because of this scratch." Aliana nodded at the wound on her left shoulder.

They were ambushed and because of that, Aliana didn’t have time to react when a beast lunged at her and bit her shoulder. The beast was clearly infused by dark magic, as they were crazily strong and was hard to kill.

But, it was not a surprise anymore for them, because they had seen a lot of them during the battle in order to take over Chrystal Moon pack.

"Don’t jinx!" Ethan scolded her, he looked even scarier right now.

Meanwhile, Jace, who had tired for having the same argument with Aliana approached the two of them and draped a cloak over her shoulder, so the gamma could stop staring at his almost half naked sister.

They were no longer teenager and had grown up, but still, Jace was not comfortable for another man to stare at Aliana in that way.

"I will talk to Cane not to include you until you are fully recovered," Ethan said grimly. If he could, he would beg Cane not to involve her at all after this.

"You don’t need to bother to do that, I have done it and she will stay in the campsite," Jace said, he had done it the moment he heard Aliana was hurt.

"He agreed?"

"Yes."

"Great."

Aliana scrunched her nose in disgust to see the banter between the two of them. They really tried their hardest to confine her in her tent and didn’t let her fight.

"Why don’t you check on the alpha?" Aliana tried to distract their attention from her, because she felt tired to receive their constant nagging when her shoulder was still in pain. "The alpha must be devastated to know he has to go all out to fight alpha Derick, after all, he saw him as his second father."

Because alpha Derick was very close with alpha Josh, thus it was not weird for Cane to look up to the alpha from the Celestial Moon pack as well.

However, after a decade had passed and the had survived the slavery, the first time they met, it would be in the battlefield and as enemy.

It must be very disturbing for Cane.

"He is fine," Ethan said. He met with Cane when he learned Aliana was hurt.

The gamma was also having his own concern about the fact alpha Derick led the warriors to defend Bloody Wolf pack and their meeting in the battlefield was inevitable.

"Or, at least, that’s how I saw him. He didn’t seem to be bothered by their meeting later." Ethan sat down on the makeshift bed, but then he chose to lay down, ignoring a sharp glaring from Jace, who seemed was very close kicking him out of this tent.

"Actually, when he is being so calm like that, it’s really concerning," Aliana stated and Ethan agreed.

"Yeah, you are right." Ethan nodded, he used his arms as pillow behind his head, as he conversed with Aliana.

Watching the two of them interacted with each other made Jace felt this difficult feeling and chose to leave the two of them to look for Cane.

It would be nice if Aliana could reciprocate Ethan’s feeling and with that, he could go all out as an overprotective older brother, but seeing how Ethan only had one sided love for his little sister put him in awkward situation.

Ethan and Aliana didn’t even know when Jace had left them alone, as they were having their own conversation, forgetting about time and how tired they were.

But when Aliana didn’t get any respond from the gamma, she looked at him and found him already fell asleep. He had one arm cover his eyes, but from the way he was breathing she knew he had fallen deep into his slumber.

"Seriously, I am the one, who is injured here, but you occupied my bed. How can I sleep now?" Aliana clicked her tongue, but in the end, she put a blanket over him and laid down as well. She was also tired, okay? And this tent supposedly belonged to her.

So, if there was one of them had to go out, it must be Ethan.

However, seeing how Ethan was sleeping peacefully made her sleepy as well and she couldn’t help, but closed her eyes, as sleep came so easy to her.

The night was rather calm, thankfully, there was no more sudden attack tonight, but early in the morning, there was a secret message from Cezi for Cane.

"Who is Cezi?" Cedric asked. He was only familiar with the alpha in each pack.

"Alpha Derick’s son," Jace replied. He then stared at Cane. Who looked deep in his thought. "He is the next in line for the title of the alpha from Celestial Moon pack."

There was silent that stretched out in the main tent, where they were discussing their next move. All of them waited for Cane’s reaction.

But when Cane still didn’t talk, it was Ethan, who broke the silence. "Are you going to meet with him? I thought this must be a trap. Why did he want to meet with you in private?"

Ethan’s suspicion was not baseless, at time like this, it was critical for them to take precaution over everything.

"I am going to meet with him," Cane finally decided after he thought about this.

"Cane, I don’t think that’s a good idea," Jace voiced out his disagreement. "It has been so long since the two of you met with each other."

In the past, Cane and Cezi underwent the same training together in the capital city and they were pretty close, but it was years ago. A lot of things had changed now.

"He can be under Decratic’s mind control," Abby chimed in. She looked lethargic because their enemy used black magic very often. She looked like she was going to fall at any moment, still, she refused to back down.

However, Cane didn’t budge with his decision. There was something he wanted to confirm with him and more so, why instead of alpha Derick, it was Cezi, who requested to meet with him in person secretly. He needed to get a grasp the power flow within his enemy.

"Where is Lou?" Cane asked, cutting off their suggestion.

"Sir Lou must be late again, I saw him still sleeping inside his tent," Aderan replied.

Speaking of the devil, all of them smelled his scent came closer before his figure appeared in the entrance of the tent.

His hair was disheveled and he was still wearing his proud red robe. "Sory, overslept," he apologized without an ounce of sincerity at all.

However, before Lou could join them and ask what they were discussing, Cane had ordered him to come with him.

"Walk with me, Lou." Cane stood up and walked out.

"What? Where? I don’t want to go alone with you!" Lou was suspicious Cane was up to no good.
