"So, what can you offer?" Cane’s voice was very cold and dark. He looked like he had lost a lot of weight, which only emphasized his sharp features. He looked gloomy and wherever he went, people would shudder even when they only caught a glimpse of him.

He was akin to someone, who had never touched any joy or happiness in his life.

The aura that he gave off was akin to that moment when they were in slavery. His eyes filled with hatred and his present alone was very suffocating.

Thankfully, Liam was quick enough to react, he immediately covered Abby’s eyes to prevent her from seeing such brutal thing and took her away from there.

"You don’t need to do that! He had told us everything he knew!" Cedric snarled at Cane, but one look from the alpha was enough to shut him up.

"Which made him useless now."

Chill ran down their spines to witness the brutality of the alpha, as Cane pinned Gallot down, forcing him to swallow the sharp shard, which cut his mouth and throat. His eyes bulged, as he kept vomiting blood from between his fingers.

"You are being unnecessary cruel!" Cedric remarked.

"This is how we are doing thing in Ogregon Continent," Cane replied coldly. He watched with interest how Gallot was dying.

He was not going to die, at least not yet. He needed to suffer a little bit more. Cane closed Gallot’s mouth, while he was struggling, until he swallowed all the sharp shards and passed out.

Meanwhile, Nolan wetted himself, he had never been so scared in his entire life before. His hatred and wrath toward Cane for him killing his son had evaporated, replaced by a complete fear for him.

"Y- you said... you said you will let me go if I- I told you important information," Nolan said. He reminded Cane of their agreement.

Cedric was about to order someone to release alpha Nolan, but Cane had different idea.

"Whip him thirty times and tie him up again behind the carriage!" Cane ordered his warriors, which shocked Cedric because he was going back on his own words.

"Y- you said, you will spare me!" Nolan screamed like a banshee.

Cane threw him a nasty look. "I changed my mind." People like them didn’t deserve respect. Panic in Nolan’s eyes. "I only want to let you know that you have been used. Your son was being mind controlled, that’s why he was killed. Do you really thing those people will back you up?"

The shocked rendered Nolan mute. If that was the truth... then... everything that he had done and sacrificed... he was a mere pawn since the beginning...

"You don’t keep your words," Cedric stated when Cane walked past him. "What kind of man who doesn’t keep their words?"

Cane glanced at him. His eyes were very cold. "The kind who has gone through hell and return as the devil itself."

"Alpha! The luna is missing!" Aliana said.

Cane was in the middle of discussion with Cedric when he heard this, he dropped everything and immediately rushed out of the room, while Aliana filled him in about what happened.

Hanna and Amee were inside the bedroom with Iris, but when Amee went out to get food and Hanna didn’t pay close attention, since she thought they were inside the bedroom and the five warriors were right outside, Iris suddenly went missing.

"I have asked warriors to search for her." Aliana watched the alpha shifted into his beast and dashed toward Iris’s bedroom.

Once he arrived there, Hanna was crying, while Amee tried to console her.

"I am sorry, alpha... I don’t know how she could go missing. She was here inside the room with me, there is no way she could go out. There is no way out but the front door," Hanna explained through her sobs.

Cane stood in his place quietly, while Aliana told him she had called for help from the warriors to look around the pack house. There was no way Iris could go missing all of sudden.

"What happened?" Ethan came into the bedroom too, he just heard that Iris went missing because there was a ruckus among the warriors and immediately came here.

Aliana filled him in and he listened to her explanation, looked a little bit awkward. The relationship between them were not really good after the kiss, there was this tension between them, in which Ethan was the only one, who felt that, while Aliana returned to be herself and made the gamma frustrated because she saw what he did as a mistake only.

Eventually, Cane moved to the bed, he crouched down to see underneath and push it to the side. He remembered Iris happened to hide under the bed when she was having a meltdown in the past.

"I have looked everywhere, the place miss used to hide when she was little, but I couldn’t find her." Hanna was being hugged by Amee.

Blue Moon pack was Iris’s home, she had lived here for her entire life until recently, therefore, she knew every nook and crane of this place, especially when she used to sneak out and not let anyone to find her.

Cane stared at the floor, he didn’t move and all of them started giving suggestion about where to look for her.

But then, Cane crouched down and pushed a tile of the floor to reveal a stair that led you down. Everyone was shocked when they saw this.

Cane knew Iris was still inside the room, her scent was not in the corridor if she really left. Well, to be fair, he was able to find her in a cave back then, why wouldn’t he be able to find her now?

"No need to follow," Cane ordered them to stay there.

Without hesitation, Cane went inside. He knew Iris was here, because her scent was getting strong. But what made him frown was the fact this place was very dark. Iris was afraid of the dark. She wouldn’t come here.

After the stairs led him down he met with a tall wall, where there was stairs that led him up. He needed to climb this. This second stairs was very high, as if he was climbing a tower instead, but Cane couldn’t be bothered where it would take him, as long as it led him toward his mate, he would go through hell to get her back.

Thankfully, it didn’t take long for him to find her, but this place...
