The question that Iris had asked to Abby was; what happened if all the swords were broken? They didn’t know what the answer, because there was no record for that. All the record about the history of Serafim and Decratic came from the first Serafim and it was Na, who created the five swords.

Therefore, Na didn’t need the five swords to sustain her power.

But now, they would get the exact answer for that question and it was; the divine power that the Serafim had would disappear too.

What Abby had guessed was not wrong. A Serafim without her divine power would still be a Serafim, but what the used of her if it was her divine power that could destroy Decratic?

That was what Decratic aimed, that was what he wanted.

If Derick had to go to the battlefield, It meant he would meet with Cane there and he didn’t want it became the first time for him to meet with his former bestfriend’s son.

The baby was the only joy for them in this nasty battle, but she was snatched away from them under their nose, despite how tight the protection was given.

But of course, everything that he felt couldn’t be compared to what Iris had gone through right now.

"I am going to kill you, Cane!" alpha Nolan roared from the distance. His eyes were bloodshot red when he watched his son’s head on the spike, along with the other two of his daughters. "I AM GOING TO MAKE YOU SUFFER!"

Jace was among the beast, he stood behind the alpha with Ethan and Aliana by his sides, they were in their beast form.

The beta remembered it was Cane himself, who had decapitated the three of them, since they were already death, but the look on his eyes were something that would haunt him for the rest of his life.

There was nothing, but emptiness in the alpha’s eyes. He didn’t flinch, neither he showed any emotions, despite knowing the three of them were under mind controlling power and their action were out of their control. At the very least, Cane could let their body intact, but no, he didn’t show a tidbit of compassion.

This pain might not be this painful if they lost the babies at the same time, but it was very agonizing when you thought you have a little bit hope and hang onto it, only to end with your last hope was being snatched away from you ruthlessly.

That’s why, hope was a scary thing, it like a double edge sword.

And Decratic knew about it very well and played well with it.

"YOU ARE A BAD LUCK FOR PEOPLE AROUND YOU!" Alpha Nolan couldn’t stop with his rampant. "FIRST, YOU KILLED MY DAUGHTER AND THEN YOU CAUSED YOUR PACK MEMBER TO DIE TOO AND YOUR BABIES’ DEATH IS ALL BECAUSE OF YOU! YOU BRING MISFORTUNE, YOU JINXED ALL THE PEOPLE AROUND YOU AND SOON, YOUR MATE WILL ALSO BE DEAD!" Alpha Nolan roared, his face had turned so black. "I WILL KILL YOUR MATE RIGHT BEFORE YOUR EYES!"

Meanwhile, Cane heard everything, but there was no slightest change on his expression whatsoever, as he walked steadily toward alpha Nolan’s side.

"Alpha Cane, what are you doing?!" Cedric was alerted, but Lou held him back. The merchant shook his head.

"Let him," Lou said. There was no trace of his witty side. Like the rest of them, he could feel the pain that Iris and Cane had to go through right now.

"He is going to die if he kept going!" Cedric retorted.

"He is not suicidal!" Lou glared at him, which made the knight clamped his mouth.

At the very least, Lou knew, even if Cane wanted to die, he was going to bring down as many people as he could with him. There was no way he was going to die alone foolishly.

And the closer Cane got to alpha Nolan’s party, the more all of them became eager to attack him. After all, Cane had walked half way toward them. He was in the middle of both parties.

"ATTACK!" Alpha Gallot was impatient, as he took the leadership and issued an order to attack, eager to get his hand on Cane, though alpha Nolan was still hesitated because lady Cyan told him not to do anything without her remark, thus he only vented out his furor.

But, alpha Gallot took the matter into his hand and ordered to attack, as he shifted into his beast and all the warriors followed behind him to start the attack.

Seeing that, all the warriors from the Howling Wolf pack and the Knights rushed to get there as well, since Cane wouldn’t be able to survive if their enemy reached him first.

But, what the alpha did was something that they didn’t expect.

Cane didn’t look panic, neither he feared thousand of warriors came to his way with killing intent that strong enough to make everyone staggered.

All he did was fishing out something from inside the pocket of his pants and dropped it to the ground. His eyes fixed on his enemies, as he raised his foot and crushed it.

That was the stone that was kept by Haco. That was the stone that the sorcerer kept with him and was insisted to take when they were being attacked in Diandem pack. Haco forgot about the function of the stone and why he created it in the first place, but in his subconsciousness, he knew it was very important and crucial.

Therefore, at that time, he risked everything to get it.

And what happened next when the stone was crushed under Cane’s feet made everyone flabbergasted, because almost all the warriors that alpha Gallot led, shifted back into their human form and writhed in pains, blood oozed out from their orifices.
