Chapter 757: THE BLACK FLAMES

Hanna stayed in the alpha and the luna’s bedroom with baby Rora. Della also was there with her baby, while outside of the door, there were four warriors who stood on guard.

Hanna couldn’t help, but became very anxious. Probably that was why, Rora was crying, because she could feel that. The baby was being a little bit fussy than usual.

"Maybe she is hungry," Della said.

"But, she just ate," Hanna stated. She remembered it was only an hour ago, Della breastfed Rora.

Because of the sound of her crying, Adelle was also woken up and started crying as well, which added to the anxiety for both of them.

With that, Della handed baby Adelle to Hanna and take baby Rora to be fed. Yet, the baby refused to breastfeed and keep crying.

"It’s not usual for her to cry like this," Hanna lamented. She felt so bad to see how hard Rora was crying, until her face turned red and she kept wriggling her body inside the swaddle. "Does she feel any pain?" She became worried now.

"Maybe you should call Grace to check on her," Della suggested.

"I will. Wait a minute," Hanna said, as she put Adelle on the bed, she was still crying and now Della had to comfort the two babies.

It must be so weird for a queen to be in her position right now. But, she didn’t mind this life at all. It was way better than her life in the palace. She felt everything would end smoothly and she could live a happy life with Aderan.

When Hanna went out of the bedroom, Della heard someone was talking to the guards, but she couldn’t figure out what they were talking about, yet a minute later, someone knocked and the guard told her their lunch was ready and he would come inside to put the tray of their meal.

Della let them in and two guards entered the room, carrying two trays and put them on the table.

"Thank you," Della said gratefully, she was very hungry, feeding two babies made her wanted to eat all the time, but with the food supply was in critical point, she knew that she had to hold her appetite back a little.

After she managed to calm her baby down a little, she went to eat her lunch, while still holding baby Rora. She still had tears in her eyes, but only stifled sobs that could be heard from her.

"Are you missing your mommy?" Della asked. "Don’t worry little one, she will be back soon." With that, Della started eating her meal.

Usually, the taste of the food would be so bland, but this time it was a little bit better, which made Della ate happily, halfway of finishing her meal, Grace came with Hanna.

The healer then checked on Rora, but she didn’t find anything.

Currently, Grace was with the Serafim, both of them was taking care of the children and helped people to move to the safety place, especially those elderly, just in case the war broke out tomorrow, they had prepared themselves for the worse.

"There is nothing. She is fine," Grace said, which made Hanna sighed in relief. She had been very quiet since Iris went to the Goffa mountain. The look of anger on her missy’s face still etched on her memory, she was so scared to see her for the first time and could only hold Rora tightly.

Hanna had never thought her kind missy was capable of being so enraged. Actually, it was frightening, especially when she could Aliana and the other warriors without even touching them. What kind of power her missy held?

"Maybe she is only missing the luna," Grace said, she nudged Rora’s cheeks, she became a little bit chubbier now, though her body was still very small for a normal baby, since she was born almost two months early. "Oh!" Grace exclaimed, she was surprised.

"What happened?" Hanna and Della immediately paid close attention to Rora when Grace looked surprised and they found out what made her reacted that way.

"She has blue eyes!" Della and Hanna said at the same time and then the three of them giggled.

This was the seventh of her life and now she her golden eyes had gradually faded away, which meant, the color of her eyes could be seen.

"Heaven! Her blue eyes are so clear! She has bluer eyes than her mother!" Hanna said, she was fascinated to see Rora’s eyes.

Right now, Rora had stopped crying, but she pouted her lips, as she stuffed her little fists into her mouth, while the three women gushed over her.

After that, Grace returned to help the Serafim. Dellan then finished her food and after that breastfed Rora, while Adelle had fallen asleep. The sky had turned dark and despite how they kept a calm façade, all of them dreaded tomorrow.

Only a handful of people, who knew about what happened in the burial ground in the Goffa mountain and they had been restless.

"What is that?" Hanna muttered when she stared at the sight out of the window. "Is that... fire? A lot of fire?"

They could see how bright the sky at the east, where the sun supposed to be set.

Della immediately went to see the window and widened her eyes. "Fire. The forest is on fire."

Meanwhile baby Rora choked, she wriggled her body and started breathing heavily, but because Della and Hanna’s focus were on the fire, their mind was wondering the worse thing that could happen. The darker the day became, the more they turned listless because the alpha and luna had not yet returned.

But now... the forest was on fire? What was going on?!

When Joel, Zephyr and the other warriors arrived at the burial ground, they were dumbstruck to see what had transpired there.

Their luna stood beside the beast, while Jace and the other warriors surrounded them, but what made their jaw dropped was the fact of what Iris and Cane were doing.

There were around fifty dead body of the beasts and blood stained the ground, some of the beast had their body still intact, but some of them just dropped dead, while the flames became wilder and bigger.

They could see it from the distance, but when they came closer, the sight was truly terrifying!

Not too far from them, there was this a single man, who stood haughtily while holding a woman with one hand, while his other hand stretched forward.

Black tendrils flared from the black beast as it engulfed the flames, it looked like two kind of serpents were fighting against each other.

While the fire couldn’t burn the black wisp, but the black wisp could redirect the flames, which was very surprising.

Zephyr was breathless to watch this fight, it seemed, they didn’t come as the reinforcement, but as a spectator of how magnificent the power that the luna and the alpha held.

"How...? This is..." Joel had shifted into his human form and voiced out what he was thinking because right now, he couldn’t find a word to describe of how beautiful the sight before his eyes. It was terrifyingly beautiful with the flames and the wisp danced in the air and the dead bodies of their enemies scattered on the ground. "They will be alright, right? There is nothing to be worried about, right?"

That was what made the sight beautiful, because from the look of it, it was their enemy, who were in dire need of reinforcement.

"Our luna is awesome, right?" Eron shifted into his human form too, as he enjoyed the sight the most. They forgot their purposed to rush here, as they witnessed the true power that was presented in front of him.

Slowly, the shield that protected Dexter cracked and it didn’t take long before it shattered and a tendril in a shape of spike, immediately lunged toward Dexter, its aim was very obvious. It was going to kill both of them, piercing through their body.

But all of sudden, there was an awn of purple light from their right side and the black wisp scattered like fog.

At the same time, the women in Dexter arms moved and she tilted her head to look at Iris with hatred in her eyes.

Some of them had learned about Aria, though not all of them had seen her in person, but of course, to see her still alive like this when they had witnessed how she died miserably under thousand pair of eyes was completely shocking for them.

"Iris! I am going to kill you! All of you!" Aria roared, this time she shifted her eyes from Iris toward Cane and for the first time, the way she stared at him didn’t lace with crazy love and adoration, it was actually a hatred. The hostility was so deep, until people could feel her enmity toward Cane. Probably, that was also the depth of her love for him. "I will make you all suffer!"

Iris narrowed her eyes, she couldn’t feel Aria’s wolf, just like she thought. She was no longer have her wolf spirit, she couldn’t be said as a human as well.

"I am going..."

Before Aria could finish her sentence, Iris had thrown her white dagger toward her. If she couldn’t kill her by killing her spirit, she still could try it.

But, her white dagger was expelled, it hurled back toward Iris when Dexter made a slashing movement. His eyes filled with malice when he aimed for her heart!
