Cane recognized Amara right away because she was the only sibling, who born from the same mother like Leane.

Amara was only fifteen years old when Leane moved to the Howling Wolf pack. It was one of Cane’s memory about her, because she cried a lot knowing she would be separated from her sister. Both of them were so close.

And now, she was a grown up woman, Cane could see why Nolan sent her here. Amara resembled Leane so much, Cane was taken a back when he saw her for the first time after years.

This must be the daughter that Nolan told him looked exactly like Leane, while the other one, she must be only an additional for Cane’s ’present’.

"We are yours now, alpha Cane," Amara repeated what she said earlier, her long hair cascaded down her back, her nipples pointed and her breasts blushed, as red as her face, but Iris was seeing red.

The luna was extremely unhappy with this situation, she immediately turned Cane’s body around, forcing him to face the close door, while she yanked her hoodie to reveal herself, which further made the two women startled, especially when they received a glare that filled with hostility from her.

"Put on your cloak!" Iris was seething.

Laluna’s existence was already put her in bad mood, not to mention she seemed to find a way to meet Cane, creating the whole encounter as if it was a coincidence, but here they were, two women stripped naked willingly in front of Cane!

The thought that Cane happened to reject her to come only made her even angrier.

Amara and Tatiana looked so scared, as they scrambled to put on their cloaks. They didn’t know why, but the sight of Iris was terrified them, even when her figure was smaller than them and they knew very well, she was only a runt, their father told them not to mind this luna, because she didn’t hold a real power.

"So, this is the present from Nolan!?!" Iris asked through her gritted teeth. She didn’t even address the alpha with his title, showing how much she didn’t care about it. "I can see he didn’t have a taste at all!"

Behind her small figure, Cane was listening to his mate dealt with the situation, a small smile curled on the corner of his lips, though he was worried it would upset their baby if she was being too emotional, but if he interrupted Iris, he was afraid, her anger would be directed at him instead.

"Luna Iris..." Amara spoke, she clutched the front of his cloak, while Tatiana stood behind her, hiding from the luna’s wrath behind her sister’s back.

"What made your father think Cane will agree with that?" Iris asked them sharply.

"I don’t know, luna Iris..." Amara replied, she lowered her head. "I am sorry to upset you, but we just followed what our father told us to do."

Iris’s anger ceased slightly when she saw how scared they were. This was not something they wanted to do too. She had heard how alpha Nolan didn’t care much about his daughter, since he had a lot of them.

"Cover your face, you will come with us," Iris said, she turned around and opened the door, as she ushered Cane out of the room, looked upset.

Once they were out, Iris told Dean and Pax that the two women would come with them and looked for other horses for them. There was no way she would put Amara and Tatiana in the same carriage with her and Cane.

Dean and Pax glanced at Cane, they wanted to get this confirmation from their alpha, because it was not usual for the luna to be the one, who gave an order, but seeing their alpha said nothing and their luna was very angry, they could only oblige to her request and did what they were told.

"You look upset," Cane said, as he followed Iris from behind, watching how she waddled through the half or fully naked people in this brothel. With her thick cloak, she looked out of place and some people actually stared at her, trying to see her face under her hoodie.

Iris said nothing, she walked ahead of Cane, but when the exit door was opened, she backed off as the cold wind gushed over. She shivered and retreated to snuggle against her mate, which made Cane laughed.

"Don’t laugh at me!"

"Okay."

Cane helped her to get into the carriage and she immediately snuggled against him again, when Cane got in too.

"What kind of present was that?!" Iris openly showed her annoyance. "Why alpha Nolan thought you will accept them?" Iris lifted her head to look at Cane’s reaction when he answered her.

"Because Amara is very similar to Leane. The two of them came from the same mother." Cane didn’t have any intention to lie to Iris about this, but still this was not the answer that would make Iris happy.

In the end, Amara and Tatiana met with their brother, but Cane didn’t give any respond to alpha Nolan’s letter, who were asking about his son.

Cane also told alpha Colter and Koda about this. They wanted to have Amara and Tatiana and made them slave, but Cane was against it. They had another important thing to do now.

Aggeverya road.

The battle had started to happen in the Aggeverya road, the royal warrior and the other two remaining packs defended the place with everything they had, but the longer the battle happened, the more the royal warriors were pressured to withdraw and surrender the territory.

Food became a great problem too during this winter, especially when the Moon Dew pack lost the black market and half of the merchant and the people, who did business there were killed during the attack, now once the news about it were spread widely, the royals were condemned by people from the other continent about what they had done.

It was only a matter of time before they sought for revenge, since the sea was frozen during the winter, thus there was nothing they could do to reach this continent.

The vicious and barbaric battle lasted for a month before Cane and the other could secure the road and they could connect the south and the west.

The news about it lifted their moral, especially the warriors and knights, because during that one month battle, they lost so many people. They had to cremate their fellow comrades or sent the dead body back to their respective pack, so their family could give them a proper burial, if they still had family, but if they didn’t, they would make a public funeral for the fallen warriors.

Alpha Colter and Koda were thrilled, because with this victory, they were a step closer to the throne, but of course, Koda had not yet forgotten about how alpha Colter was actually trying to stab him by suggesting Cane to mate with Laluna and discard him as the regent.

On the surface, their dynamic looked great, but beneath... it was hard to tell.

"Luna Iris..." Laluna came to see Iris like usual. It had been a week, since she made this kind of weird ritual, to meet Iris everyday with the pretense she wanted to thank her for saving her son, which would be more helpful and Iris could be more grateful, if Laluna just left her alone. "You look so great in white cloak!"

"Thank you." Iris smiled softly.

Until now, Laluna and the other still didn’t have any idea about the existence of Della, since they wouldn’t lower themselves to bother with a maid.

Currently, Della and Aderant looked after the children that came with them from the Black Market, Amara and Tatiana also lived there.

"Where are you going? Are you seeing Ezra again?" Laluna asked, she had asked around and pretty much knew Iris’s routine. Alpha Colter and Koda felt deceived because Iris’s intention was not for mining diamond from the white diamond tiger like she tried to portray, but in the end of the day, there was nothing they could do when the deal was done.

"Yes," Iris replied calmly, Dean followed behind her, while Pax were with Cane. Her mate had been away for two days now and Iris missed him terribly.

"It has been a while I didn’t see Ezra, I will come with you too," Laluna said cheerfully.

Iris didn’t know why she suddenly became friendly with her, but for whatever reason, she didn’t feel comfortable.

Iris didn’t say anything and entered the room, where Ezra was sitting on the floor, playing with his toy. Iris got him toy when she went to the town and meet with the children from the black market.

"Ezra," Iris called his name, in which he turned his head and immediately stood up to run toward her, his face beamed with happiness to see the luna, but his step halted when he saw the woman, who came with her. "I don’t think Ezra is comfortable with you here, Laluna, can you leave us alone?"

Laluna’s face turned bright red when she heard that, she was about to respond, but something caught her attention.

"Iris..." Laluna furrowed her brows when his eyes fell on her stomach. Iris was wearing thick cloak and usually, she would wear dark color, therefore when she was wearing white today, it was clear to see her swollen stomach. "Are you... are you pregnant?" she blinked her eyes in disbelieve.

"Oh, yes! I am pregnant!" Iris replied, a smirk on her lips.
