Chapter 668: BLACK RAIN AND DARK SKY (10)
People were on the street they created a path for the Serafim and her entourage in the middle to walk through, while they stood on both sides of the line, standing on their tiptoes, excited with the presence of the Serafim, even though her entourage had not yet been able to be seen.
In their mind, once the Serafim was here, she could get rid of this ominous gloomy cloud and they could get their sun back. This black rain gave them anxiety and without the sunlight, trees and plants started to withered.
They might not realize it before, but they started to see the negative side effect in this continues condition.
Aliana was not among the people in the crowd, as she stayed by Iris’s side. She prayed she would wake up and keep asking Penny if there was progress for her condition, but she was still the same. She was not in danger or anything and her vitals were fine, but she didn’t wake up.
However, if she kept like this, eventually, it would give a side effect on her baby, since she couldn’t eat properly and she needed enough nutrient for both of them.
Their last resort was the Serafim. If what Grace and Lou said were true, the cause of Iris’s condition was not because of her health, but the disruption of the flow of her power.
"What are you doing here, girls?" Penny asked Joyce, Celia and Leena, who crowded the basket on the table, where Lil Thing was currently sleeping.
"Lil Thing opened its eyes earlier, but then fell asleep again," Leena chirped. "Why do you think it shrunk in size? It looks like a doll now."
Penny just returned after checking on Iris. Not only Aliana and these three girls, but Zale also refused to see the simple festivities that Bloody Wolf pack member threw in order to greet the Serafim. He chose to stay with the luna or Lil Thing. He wouldn’t go anywhere if Zephyr didn’t drag him out for some training.
The seven warriors, of course, would always stay with Iris.
Chuckling, Penny ruffled their hairs. "Maybe because it’s very tired, that’s why. Don’t touch the wounds, okay? It will take longer if they are infected."
The three of them raised both of their hands. "We don’t."
The children were still grieving the lost of the other two children, but they coped up well enough, while the baby was under the care of Nala. Begrudgingly, she had to feed the baby too. In the beginning, she protested a lot, but then it seemed she had warmed up with the idea of having to take care two babies.
"Where is Kian?" Asher asked, he looked around him.
"He went out for a while to see whether the Serafim is already here or not," Reed replied. He stretched out his body. "Stay here, I will patrol around for a while." He then shifted into his beast and looked around the area, to make sure there was no danger lurked in the corner. They did it alternately among them.
"Don’t you think Kian always volunteers to go away recently?" Otis stated.
"Yeah, now I think about it..." Asher frowned. "What that man up to..."
Zale raised his head and stared at them. He had noticed it long ago, but they only mentioned about it now.
"Don’t you think this is the time for your training?" Zephyr patted his shoulder and Zale gave him a disapproving look. "Don’t give me that look. The luna specifically told me to train you and you yourself said that you are going to be her personal guard one day, without training, what are you going to do to protect her?"
Begrudgingly, Zale followed Zephyr to the garden and resume their training. He didn’t hate the training, he only wanted to be close to the luna.

"I don’t think this is right..." Kian pushed Nala away from him. He breathed heavily. His whole body was shaking, as he held back his desire to have the woman in front of him. He must be crazy to reject such beauty when she had thrown herself on him and now she was half naked, all he needed to do was to keep going. No one would know. He didn’t harm anyone.
"Why? You don’t want me?" Nala looked sad, her lips trembled, the rejection hurt her so much. She covered her body, as if she was shameful of her nakedness.
"It’s not like that... it’s..." Kian couldn’t find the right word to say. He couldn’t understand how he could end up with her in this kind of situation. This was not the right time for this. "You are the merchant’s woman, we shouldn’t be in this kind of... situation. I am sorry, this is my mistake."
"I know I am not worth it... you don’t need to feel sorry for me. That’s not your fault. This is my fault for having this feeling for you. I am sorry."
Kian approached Nala and tried to touch her, but she flinched.
Nala turned around, she had her back faced him. "Please, leave..." Her voice was shaking, as if she was holding back her tears.
"Nala..." Kian tried to speak, but she covered her ears, which left him with no other options. "Let’s talk again later. I will see you again." Kian didn’t want to leave her like this, but he couldn’t leave for long and Nala was too emotional to listen to him.
However, once Nala heard the door was closed, her expression changed in a second and her body stopped trembling. She glanced at the door and pursed her lips.
Not long after, Sabian entered the room. "That’s quick..." the old sorcerer commented.
"Well, there is nothing happened." Nala shrugged her shoulders.
"If there was nothing happened, there is no progress then." Sabian averted his gaze when Nala turned around to take her clothes from the ground. This woman didn’t even think of him as a man at all, as she casually walked half naked in front of him and started to put on her dress again.
Sabian could only sigh deeply. He didn’t know what was in Lou’s mind, he thought, he finally settled with someone and stopped his weird obsession over the luna, but now, things took a weird turn between Lou and Nala.
He couldn’t understand both of them at all.
"Not really..." Nala said languidly. It was about how could you play with someone’s feeling, the moment you knew that they wanted you, half of the work was done and the rest would follow in time. "He felt guilty and sorry for me, for now, that’s enough..."
The feeling of guilty and sorry could be dangerous feeling in the wrong hand, especially someone, who knew how to play those feeling well.
"You can refuse master’s order for this if you were not comfortable, you know." Sabian finally could sigh in relief when Nala was fully clothed.
"And then I will no longer be useful for him." If she was no longer useful for Lou, there was no way that crazy profiteer would keep her. This was her way to survive.
Though deep down, Nala hated her life even more.
It was hard to be a woman, but then if she were a man, she would have died by now. No one would take a pity on man or having soft spot for them, whether that was for good intention or not, like they did to woman, Kian was an example...

"That’s the Serafim! The Serafim is here!"
"The Serafim is here!"
"The Holy Knights are here!"
People chanted joyfully and threw flowers petal that they could find. They plucked all the flowers they could find in all the gardens around the pack house, this was not the festivities that the Serafim deserved, but their current situation didn’t allow them to do mor than this.
More so, they only knew about the arrival of the Serafim a day before, because Serafim and her five hundreds Holy Knights traveled in secret. That was why, it took them six days to arrive, they were late by a day from the time they had planned.
"Look. These people are very excited to see you," Liam said. He wanted to cheer Abby up, because she was very gloomy, since she delayed their journey. She caught a flu during their travel and now she was still not in her best health, even so, she refused to take a rest. They were behind the schedule.
"I hope I can meet their expectation of me," Abby replied, she had a beautiful smile on her lips when she waved her hands to the people that greeted them.
"You will, Abby. You will. You are stronger than you think." Liam tried to reassure her of this, since her mood had been down lately, because of her frail body.
Abby didn’t say anything, she continued to give the people her empty smile, which didn’t reach her eyes at all. "I want to see the luna."
"You need to rest first."
"No. I want to see her first." There were a lot of reason why Abby was very adamant to see Iris and immediately choose to go when Koda suggested for her to lead her Knights here because the situation in the Red Claw pack was no longer condusive
The Serafim left for her own safety and alpha Colter made it looked like they were very concern about her wellbeing, but what she and her Holy Knights didn’t know was; all of this was part of Cane’s plan, so alpha Colter could use his force of magic users to take down the Golden Light pack, without being noticed by the Serafim and the Holy Knights.
"Abby..." Liam tried to reason with her, but she rode her horse ahead, she didn’t want to listen to what he was going to say.
Meanwhile, Cedric rode the horse next to Liam. "Don’t make it very obvious, Liam. You crossed the line again, the other knights started to become suspicious of the relationship between you two."
After saying that, Cedric rode his horse ahead to stay by Abby’s side, so it wouldn’t look like Liam was the only one, who was very close with the Serafim. Rumor had started among the knights.
Inside the pack house, Aliana was informed that the Serafim agreed to immediately see Iris, Arthur and Leros had told her about Iris’s condition and how they asked for her help.
"Luna... what are you?" Aliana spoke softly, as she held Iris’s hand. "You are not a shifter, you are not a runt, you are different from magic users and healers alike... what are you?"
Her first encounter with Decratic not only left the dark soul depleted from his power, but so did Iris. She was still trying to figure out her own power and her outburst at that time had backfired on her when she tried to stop Decratic from hurting her people.
Aliana’s line of thought was cut short when someone knocked on the door and Reed’s voice could be heard, informing her that the Serafim was already there.
"Aliana, the Serafim is here. She wants to see the luna." Reed glanced at the Serafim, who was standing not too far from them, surrounding by her five Holy Knights.
They were speechless to see how eerily similar this Serafim with their luna, though Iris’s hair was not as red as hers, but their blue eyes were the same shade of blue.
If you didn’t pay close attention, you probably would be mistaken the two of them. They looked at each other, communicating what they were thinking about this Serafim and their luna.
Abby could feel it that they were stealing a glance at her, but she tried to ignore the discomfort.
Their attention finally shifted toward the door when Aliana opened it. She was taken aback too when she saw the Serafim, but she composed herself quickly. "Please, come in."
