Chapter 463: A TRAP (5)
Chapter 463: A TRAP (5)
"Haco! Get out of there!" Ethan kicked the door, tired of knocking as this old sorcerer didn’t even listen to him. He wanted to kick his ass, instead, at this point.
Why was this old man sulking so hard that he had been left alone during the dinner party when nothing significant happened between himself and Lady Cyan? He had holed himself up in this room since last night and refused to go out.
Yet, he didn’t stop there, when Ethan bothered him to go out and meet with Cane, because his childish actions aggravated the Alpha until he ordered to drag Haco out of the room to meet with him, this old sorcerer locked himself in.
Haco was acting unreasonably weird.
"Haco! If you don’t open the door, I will kick it down!" Ethan threatened him. He was serious with his warning.
"If you are going to kick it down, make sure to fix it later," Aliana said. She leaned her back against the wall beside the door, as she stared at the furious gamma.
"At least, help me deal with him. If you are just here to watch the show, go away!" Ethan growled at the woman beside him and she rolled her eyes as a response.
"I am here to help, but you are so busy." Aliana fished out something from her pocket and tossed a small key toward Ethan.
Thankfully, the Gamma had good reflexes and caught it. "Why didn’t you give me the key earlier!?" He grumbled.
"So, ungrateful," Aliana scoffed and turned around to leave, but then all of a sudden, the door swung open from inside and Haco appeared. He looked so pale, as if he had just seen a ghost.
"Where is Cane!? Where is Iris?!" Haco asked.
"What? Only now you are bothered about looking for them?! The Alpha has called for you, but you ignored the order!" Ethan was so upset, but Haco snapped at him.
"Oh, shut up! They are in danger!" Haco then handed a lizard to Ethan’s hands. "Gather your people and search for them!"
The lizard squirmed unhappily in Ethan’s palms, while he could see something on its tail and he immediately knew whose hair it was.
Iris had a distinguished hair color, thus it was easy to tell that the hair on the lizard’s tail belonged to her.
But, right at the same time, a warrior approached Ethan. His expression told them he did not come bearing good news.
"Beta Jace asked you to meet him at the south gates! The warriors from the Blue Moon pack were revolting! All the warriors under your command have gathered in the pack house!"
Ethan didn’t seem surprised with this revelation. They were prepared for unexpected news, since they learned there was a traitor within the pack, their suspicions were directed toward the people from the Blue Moon pack, especially after the information Aderan got from Queen Della, it only solidified their conjecture.
However, the timing couldn’t be more awful than this.
Lady Cyan and the power she held was the piece that Cane failed to take precautions against, since that woman kept a very low profile and didn’t appear to get involved in anything until recently.
Cane deemed the King wouldn’t reveal the spy until the very end, since he wouldn’t benefit if he did, but what Cane didn’t know was, Lady Cyan played a different scheme and this unexpected element was fatal for the whole plan that Cane had fabricated.
Cane miscalculated the involvement of Lady Cyan and what kind of plot she would bring to this game. And this allowed Lady Cyan to outsmart Cane.
"Who is leading them?!" Ethan gritted his teeth. He hoped Cane was right this time about trusting Redmond, because he was going to kill that man himself if he got involved.
"Lyle," the warrior replied. "He mobilized all the warriors of the Blue Moon pack here and joined with the remaining royal warriors who didn’t go to the mountain."
"No! You need to find Cane and Iris first!" Haco insisted, he looked almost like an insane old man. What actually happened to him?
"Where is Redmond?!" Ethan was frustrated. The plan went south.
The warrior frowned. "The last time I saw him, he was in the pack house, but I am not sure where he is exactly."
Ethan growled. He knew exactly where that warrior was. "Aliana! Go with Haco and gather the young warriors! I will meet you at the training ground soon!"
If they had been in a different situation, Aliana would have scoffed if Ethan ordered her around and would have made sure Jace heard about it to cause trouble for the Gamma, but she could read the situation and do what she was told.
Aliana grabbed Haco’s hand and ran toward a different direction from Ethan. The warrior, who had reported the news, followed the Gamma.
"Gamma Ethan... if we lose this battle, will they enslave us again?" The warrior asked, as he ran beside Ethan. His name was Lucas and his mate gave birth to a baby girl just a week ago. He would rather kill his own daughter if he had to subject her to the life of slavery, especially when she was a girl.
"Don’t talk nonsense!" Ethan growled and then shifted into his beast, as he dashed toward the pack house.
Damn Redmond and his people!
But, there was this question in Ethan’s mind; how were they able to shift into their beast when they had been fed Rottingbane continuously. Without their beast, they wouldn’t be able to fight!
It didn’t take long for Ethan to reach the Luna’s bedroom, where Sofia was still staying. The people started to panic when they heard a battle was about to break out with the warriors from the Blue Moon pack.
"Redmond! Get out!" Ethan immediately shifted into his human form and kicked the door, but because this was the Luna’s bedroom, of course, he couldn’t tear the door down as he liked. It was very strong. "Get out here now!" Ethan roared.
