The Alpha: Claiming His Enemy's Daughter
Chapter 358: WHERE IS HIS BODY?

Chapter 358: WHERE IS HIS BODY?

"It’s not that serious? You insulted a member of our pack." Ethan’s voice was so icy.

The guards and warriors were well aware how he had beaten up the former crown prince, until he almost died, but with the help of his alpha, he could get away with just an apology. If it was someone else, they would have died a miserable death instead.

Therefore, though the warriors from the Howling pack were not many, they were respected by the royal warriors and guards, especially Ethan, as he was hot headed and showed his dislike very openly. If they could help it, they didn’t want to get in trouble with them.

Not to mention Ethan had become one of the leaders of the searching team for his alpha and luna, along with the representative from the Red Claw pack. It was such an achievement, as he was now in charge of hundreds of royal warriors as well.

"We- we are not trying to insult her. I only suggested that she spend more time with us. There is nothing wrong with that." The first guard tried to avoid Ethan’s dangerous eyes. Chills ran down his spine. He was very afraid of this gamma right now, but had to calm himself down first, so he wouldn’t look so bad in front of his fellow guards. "If you want the girl for yourself, I am fine. I will not touch her." He raised his hands, acting nonchalantly.

Ethan tilted his head. "What are your names?"

The two of them looked confused. In the end, they still gave Ethan their names, even though they didn’t have any idea what he would do with that information.

"Good. I expect both of you to report at the North training ground, we will depart early in the morning." Ethan smiled, but no one would believe it was because of something funny.

"Wh- what? Where?"

"We have to hunt down the lycan. Of course, I recruited you to be part of the search team." Ethan then added with malice evident in his eyes. "Under my command."

As one of the leaders of the searching team, he got free access to choose the people he would take with him. More so, no one would bat an eye if he took these two.

"Gamma Ethan! You can’t... I didn’t do anything!" The second guard trembled. Searching for the lycan?! All of them even trembled when they heard what kind of creature it was from the other warriors and guards, who saw the cursed beast.

Ethan shrugged his shoulders and then took a step forward as he spoke in a low voice. "You shouldn’t have touched her in the first place, mutt."

Having finished with them, Ethan grabbed Hanna’s hand and walked away from there. The two of them would definitely come tomorrow.

Ethan looked pleased, he should ask Will for a treat for saving his girl, but unfortunately, the man was only getting worse by each passing day. He looked so angry every time to the point people were afraid to even approach him...

On the other hand, Hanna glanced at the two guards over her shoulder and saw their crestfallen faces. Their days wouldn’t be good under Ethan’s command.

But, Hanna immediately turned callous to their fate, it was their own doing that brought them to their own misery, more so, their wellbeing was not important to her, they could die for all she cared.

"Tell me, is the rumor true?" Hanna immediately bombarded Ethan with questions, while Trion and the other two warriors walked behind them. They looked at each other meaningfully to hear such a question.

"What rumor?" Ethan feigned ignorance, which got him a slap on the back, because Hanna knew he was teasing her.

Hanna had grown close to the warriors from the Howling Wolf pack, especially Ethan, because both of them liked to share gossip.

"Okay, okay." Ethan raised both of his hands in a surrender gesture, indicating he would answer her seriously this time. "Yes, the rumor is true. Your missy is alright, the Alpha managed to find her, you don’t need to worry. This morning, Redmond had gone to the Riverside pack along with the other three warriors."

"Why didn’t they take me with them?" Hanna looked somber when she heard that. "I want to go too, if Miss Iris is not here, why should I be here?" She was not part of the royal servants and her main concern was Iris, thus she should be where her missy was.

"They went in a hurry. Not to mention you will not be able to keep up with them. You will only slow them down instead."

Hanna gave Ethan a look upon hearing that. She knew she wouldn’t be able to keep up with the warriors who trained every day.

"Instead of going to the Riverside pack, why don’t you go to the Orphanage instead? I am sure you can find a lot of things to do there. We will go back together once we are clear to leave the capital city." Ethan then added. "Moreover, it is safest for you to stay there, at least, you will not need to deal with mutts like earlier."

"Okay," Hanna muttered. It was not that she didn’t want to go to the orphanage, but Will was there. Their last conversation didn’t end well and he looked uncomfortable whenever she was nearby. He didn’t even try to hide it when he tried to avoid her.

On the other hand, Ethan simply wanted the two of them to meet, probably Hanna could help with whatever troubles Will was facing and also sort out their own problem, but even more because he felt a little bit guilty for deceiving her.

Almost all of the warriors from the Howling Wolf pack and also Redmond knew Cane and Iris were fine and that they were heading to the Riverside pack, though some of them were not clear why the lycan was involved in this matter, but they didn’t ask questions.

It was only Hanna who was clueless about all of that and it was no less than torture for them to see her crying every day while she kept asking for news about the Alpha and the Luna.

They did this because the story would look more believable if people could see how distressed Hanna was, since the warriors were not really good at acting.

Well, if someone was to be blamed for her grief, it should be Cane, since the Alpha was the one who came up with the plan, knowing his warriors lacked emotions, leaving him with making Hanna to carry the emotional part of his plan this time.

=============================

"Cane! You had hidden Prince Vemion’s head in this pack?" Iris looked at Cane in horror, she lowered her voice, so no one would be able to eavesdrop on their conversation, though it was only the two of them in their bedroom, in the Riverside pack house.

"Yes," Cane replied simply, as he sat down next to her on the sofa and caressed her cheek absentmindedly.

Iris shrunk her body in fear, she remembered how he had killed him. "What about his body...? Where is his body?"

"Do you really want to know?"

Iris was not sure, but Cane beckoned her closer before he whispered his answer into her ear.
