Chapter 776: Deliver the Glassy Bottle to Nanli, Perish Together!

"Alright," Qingwu said, his voice steady. "No matter what Nanli decides, I will make sure to take out the excess Glassy Bottle. We cannot let any of our Spirit Trees wither."

Sima Xin didn’t care much about how much of that was true. Her mind was set.

Now, the only way to ensure victory was to kill Nanli swiftly before she grew any stronger. That would secure their success.

After finalizing their strategy for the Upper Realm, Qingwu continued, "Although our two factions cannot directly intervene in the Human World or the Three Kingdoms, we can hire the Night Asura to handle things for us."

Sima Xin’s expression darkened immediately. "Night Asura? Do you know how expensive it is to hire them? Spirit Stones are one thing, but we would need to offer up our own sect’s magic tools or powerful techniques to even hope to employ them."

In the Upper Realm, it wasn’t just large sects that existed. North of Kunlun, near the North Sea, there was a notorious dark sect called Asura Palace.

Anyone who reached the Golden Core stage was eligible to be called a Night Asura.

Night Asuras were hired to either raid resources or perform tasks for others. They were known for getting the job done perfectly, making their services highly costly.

"Don’t let your greed ruin everything," Qingwu sighed. "We were too arrogant and frugal before, and that’s why we’re facing these consequences now."

Sima Xin hesitated for a moment, then made up her mind.

She gritted her teeth. "Fine! Whatever they want, we’ll agree, as long as they kill every last one of the Chu family!"

Qingwu nodded. "It’s settled, then."

In his mind, Nanli and her followers were trapped in the Upper Realm, and the Chu family was now as good as doomed.

Qingwu had been too lenient earlier, tolerating them far too much. If he had acted sooner, they wouldn’t be in this situation.

After disconnecting the Telestone with Sima Xin, he reached out to Ji Chengyi to update him on the situation.

Even though Ji Chengyi hadn’t joined in the hunt for Nanli, the Peak Master and disciples had brought back plenty of useful information. He didn’t even have time to catch Yun Shen; he quickly returned to Seven Peaks Sect to take charge.

When he saw that the Glassy Bottle was still safe under the Spirit Tree, he finally relaxed.

However, Ji Chengyi was far from thrilled about Qingwu’s plan.

"If we poison the Glassy Bottle, it will only hasten the decay of the Spirit Tree. This tactic will harm us in the end!"

The Spirit Tree of Seven Peaks Sect was vital to their survival.

If anything happened to it, the sect would soon fracture, and there would be no hope of stabilizing the situation.

But Qingwu wasn’t concerned. "Master Ji, what are you afraid of? I already know that Yun Yubai from your sect was the thief in question. You must still have another Glassy Bottle available for use."

Ji Chengyi was shocked by this revelation, but quickly composed himself. "Qingwu, just because you’re a Venerable Master now doesn’t mean you can slander me with baseless accusations."

"You know very well whether what I’m saying is true or not," Qingwu responded coldly.

"Do you have proof?" Ji Chengyi shot back, still trying to argue.

Qingwu smirked. "Actually, Yan Buxiu knew about this as well, but he’s dead now. Only I know the truth. If I tell Lady Sima, she will surely storm Seven Peaks Sect and confront Yun Yubai. And I’ll be accompanying her."

Qingwu’s smile carried a sharp, threatening edge.

"If you’re innocent, Master Ji, just have Yun Yubai show himself, and I’ll stop spreading rumors."

Yun Yubai was still frozen in ice, and Ji Chengyi couldn’t risk allowing him to be exposed.

He had no choice but to reveal the truth. "Yun Yubai was indeed the thief. I’ve dealt with him. But the Glassy Bottle is not at Seven Peaks Sect; it was taken by his disciple, Yun Shen."

"Ah?" Qingwu’s voice dragged out. "No wonder you’ve been absent from Seven Peaks Sect lately. You’ve been searching for him, haven’t you? But Master Ji, words alone won’t be enough..."

Ji Chengyi, unwilling to back down any further, said coldly, "What I’ve said is the truth. Don’t push me too far, Qingwu. If you don’t back down, I’ll have no choice but to send the Glassy Bottle from Seven Peaks Sect to Nanli and destroy everything!"

Qingwu frowned.

If Nanli got her hands on another Glassy Bottle, things would get much worse.

Right now, they were on the same side, and it was important not to let internal conflict tear them apart. Everything had to wait until Nanli was dealt with.

Realizing the stakes, Qingwu quickly shifted his tone. "Master Ji, I was just joking. Go ahead and follow the plan. If Nanli does come for the Glassy Bottle at Seven Peaks Sect, I’ll make sure to replace it with the one I obtained from Divine Buddha Sect."

Ji Chengyi had seen Qingwu’s ruthlessness before. He snapped, "And if you go back on your word, where will I go to complain?"

"Master Ji, think long term," Qingwu said, growing impatient. "Once Nanli is dead, you won’t have to worry about finding Yun Shen. Besides, with two spare Glassy Bottles, the Spirit Tree of Seven Peaks Sect won’t wither so easily."

Ji Chengyi mulled over it and agreed.

Yun Shen had likely fled after hearing Yun Yubai’s last words, determined to deliver the Glassy Bottle to Nanli.

Only once Nanli was dead would Yun Shen’s efforts be in vain, and the power of the Glassy Bottle would be preserved.

He reluctantly agreed to follow the plan.

Qingwu was pleased. "Remember, you need to find trustworthy, capable people to handle this. No mistakes."

"Don’t worry," Ji Chengyi replied, though his heart was uneasy.

His disciples, while self-centered at times, could not be trusted with the truth about the Spirit Tree’s reliance on others’ inner elixirs and blood. If they found out, they might expose everything.

Desperate, Ji Chengyi called Zhao Yuyang back.

Zhao Yuyang had uncovered some useful information, but upon Ji Chengyi’s urgent summons, he was forced to leave his search and return to Seven Peaks Sect.

As soon as he saw his master sitting in the high chair, he couldn’t help but ask, "Master, what’s going on? What’s the big issue?"

Ji Chengyi looked grave.

"Surely you’ve heard about the destruction of Divine Buddha Sect?"

Officially, it was said that Nanli had tricked Cinian and killed everyone at Divine Buddha Sect. Now, the entire Upper Realm was hunting for them.

Zhao Yuyang nodded. "I’ve heard. It’s a big deal, but doesn’t that have nothing to do with us at Seven Peaks Sect?"

"It has everything to do with us," Ji Chengyi sighed. "You know the origins of the Glassy Bottle. Nanli unexpectedly obtained one, absorbed its power, and now she remembers everything from her past life."

Zhao Yuyang was stunned. This was far more serious than he had imagined.

He clenched his fists. "Then this is bad. Is she planning to attack Seven Peaks Sect? After all, our junior brother has been helping her in secret."

"If she wants to seize the Glassy Bottle, Seven Peaks Sect will be her first target," Ji Chengyi said grimly. "And I have a task for you."

"Anything, Master."

"If she does come for Seven Peaks Sect, I need you to poison the Glassy Bottle," Ji Chengyi said coldly, taking out a porcelain bottle.

His gaze was icily determined.

"When the time comes, she will meet her end."
