Great novel overall. Definitely an unexpected gold of a novel. The premise is cliche yet the writin, pacing and conveyed emotions are quite well done. 8.5/10
Great novel , although it doesnt deserve 5 stars it is still very good and It only keeps getting better and better
the harem isnt that bad too
Definitely one of the best Korean novels. Very well written. The plot and its progression, the setting, the characters, the mysteries, the relationships, the comedy, everything is good.
i wouldnt really say its bad but its written in the style of anime (fight scenes, character appearences) which ultimately ended up being a big turn-off for me
tbh even if it was made into an anime it would at best be a 5/10 trash isekai magic academy anime (which there is always like 10 of them every year) it doesnt really offer anything new or interesting
To be honest this is kinda like a down graded version of "the extra's academy survival guide" it gave me the same vibe so I pretty much liked it. It's just an average academy novel, the only difference is that mc only gets op when fighting demons, the whole plot is basically mc tries his best to stay hidden and become an extra(not really cuz he gets almost all the attention after like a few chapters or so) a demon appears and he he defeats it, them FMC secretly saw the mc casually defeats the demon which is supposed to be a "natural calamity" FMC gets interested in the mc and tries to figure out why he's hiding his true power or smth(she would probably fall in love with him after some chapters or would have some feeling similar to that since you know it's "HAREM"), world building is just an average academy setting with demons, characters are kinda mid in my opinion they lacked "depth" and not really that much character development, I can tell that the author wants to make each fmc unique by giving them traits such as split personality and making each of them have unique and op powers but the development is really lacking. Some scenes especially the romance scenes kinda makes me cringe but nonetheless I kinda enjoyed it it's also beginner friendly since narration is kinda easy to follow and you can easily get hooked, if you want a chill academy read then this is for you!
Review after chapter 90:
I am tempted to rate it 4 but honestly that's a bit overkill for my taste - So I'll explain why I'm rating it lower than most readers clearly .
The novel is very well written and that's the only reason I can think of for it's high rating . The most significant problem I have is almost every character is one dimensional . Absolutely none of the male characters is of any significant in this story (there is barely any mentioned tbh) . Every arc can be summarised into : Mc knows there will be a demon > Op mc swipes in to kill a demon in front of a girl > The girl starts to either like him or fear him . The plot is too weak to keep me hooked. It's absolutely generic cliche harem novel that's weirdly very well written . It's not my cup of tea but you might like it. So, try 2/3 arc to get a feel I guess .
7/10
I like the story but I don't get the point mc not having relationship with the girls, he is going everything except conforming the relationship... I get it if he avoid them totally but that is not the case ...
Whoever gave this less than 4 stars f*ck U, this is honestly gold, now I'm not gonna say its peak like SS or Lotm or even as good as TAPOV or TNE but its a really good novel that has rlly good writing that keeps you interested throughout the story. The plot line is quite simple but it makes sense and works, so it's really a feel good read, something that u read when ur bored and it's quite interesting as well tho its simple. Now like most people I too hate harems but honestly this novel is so enjoyable and the harem isn't as prevalent and annoying as other novels, honestly it's just the kinda thing I need when I'm like waiting for chapters to stack for SS and so I highly recommend u read this
This story is good, it would be a shame if there was no manga. When I searched for the manga, it wasn't there... that made me frustrated, hopefully there will be an adaptation.
Not terrible, It certainly isint a unique premise by any means but it's well written with actually half-decent love interests and a couple plot twists that were really good. The fairytale references are great and it mentions obscure mythologies I rarely see expressed in novels, all in all it's a good read that's excellent for passing the time.
