Chapter 60: Personal Routine

Chapter 60: Personal Routine

Inside a spacious room furnished with only the essentials, two individuals were locked in intense sex, with the man driving himself into the girl from behind with an unrelenting rhythm.

Fortunately, they weren’t in the academy’s dormitory but a private sector within the institution, where the walls were completely soundproof, ensuring no one could hear them. The two were standing near the couch. The young woman was grasping the couch and using it as support while the man stood behind and provide steady thrusts into her backside.

The young woman receiving those frantic thrusts was none other than Yuki Asahina.

Due to the unique nature of her anatomy, it had been determined that she was incapable of becoming pregnant. As a result, the man dressed in a western suit, buried deep inside her, had no need for protection. Truth be told, most of her life had been spent inside a test tube and subjected to countless experiments. Ever since she was born, this has always been the case and since then, she already knew the purpose of her existence. In fact, even this sexual encounter was nothing more than another experiment that she had to endure once in a while or so.

The only difference this time was that her supposed caretaker was the one benefiting from it. Yuki, as well, felt a faint trace of pleasure, but that was the extent of it. She never understood the point of mating when reproduction was never a possibility for someone like her.

Of course, she didn’t voice her thoughts and simply let the man do as he pleased; after all, what would be the point?

At some point, the man began to tense up. Yuki could feel it. His throbbing penis had grown swollen inside her vagina. It was a clear sign that he wasn’t so far from his orgasm.

"Ngh... you’re squeezing me too tight... I’m about to lose it!"

With a loud groan, he gripped her thick dumb trucks firmly and shoved the entire length of his rather below-average dick inside her. A few seconds later, the floodgates opened and his accumulated semen spilled within. From the continuous, pleasure-filled sounds he made, Yuki could tell he was experiencing an intense orgasm — not that she could say the same for herself.

Honestly speaking, his size simply wasn’t enough to bring her to climax. If she had to compare, the sex she had with Aspirants Dan and George had been significantly more pleasurable and even made her climax multiple times.

Not that Yuki was the type that enjoyed sex like most girls her age. She was simply comparing the biological reaction she had experienced between the two encounters and it was painfully clear who were the better performers.

Finally, after a while, the man named Jason withdrew, his spent length slipping free. Even though he had reached his limit, he made sure to land one final slap on her rear.

Wiping the sweat from his forehead, Jason asked hopefully,

"Phew... That was pretty intense. Did you notice any change in your emotional state during the experiment?"

Yuki glanced back at him and answered expressionlessly:

"No. It’s the same as the before times."

Her straightforward answer made Jason frown slightly.

"How so? According to HR’s report, you experienced multiple orgasms and showed signs of satisfaction when you were with Aspirants Dan and George. What’s different with me?"

In response, Yuki simply stated:

"I believe it’s due to the massive difference in penis size."

Jason stiffened as if he had just taken a devastating blow. No, this wasn’t just any attack, it was a direct hit to his ego! She was outright stating that two younger boys had far outperformed him!

What could be more humiliating for a man?

However, there was nothing he could say to refute it because it was the truth. He was already painfully aware of his own shortcomings. Besides, those boys were aspiring Ascendants, so they had to be different from ordinary men, right?

...Or so he convinced himself. Of course, that was nothing more than a delusion.

Within his heart, he felt a sense of satisfaction, knowing those two boys had gotten what they deserved for messing around.

Trying to push aside his lingering frustration, Jason glanced around the living room and let out a sigh. The place was a mess with clothes scattered across the floor, random objects strewn about, and the kitchen sink overflowing with dirty dishes. At the very least, the trash was neatly packed into the garbage bin, but beyond that, he felt like he was standing in the middle of a disaster zone, one that had long been abandoned to chaos.

Certainly, this wasn’t the standard living behaviour of a young girl.

Despite knowing the answer he would receive, Jason glanced back at Yuki and asked:

"Hey, why do you always leave this place like this?"

"I see no point in cleaning. It’s not like it makes a difference in the grand scheme of things."

"I suppose that’s a fair point," he said, his voice softer now. "But don’t you ever feel the need for some semblance of normalcy? A clean environment, for instance, could provide a sense of comfort or routine."

"I have been told that comfort is an illusion. Aside from my duty, nothing else is important. I’ve learned not to become too attached to such fleeting feelings."

Her monotone words truly hung heavy. Jason felt a pang of guilt, recognizing that his earlier actions, and indeed the entire experiment, had been a part of the system that had led to her desensitization. In addition, because of her unique nature, this was also understandable.

With a sigh, Jason began gathering the scattered clothes and tidying up the chaotic living room.

Yuki tilted her head.

"What are you doing?"

"Obviously, I’m cleaning up. But don’t get used to it... I’m only doing this once."

"Why?"

"Because this isn’t how things should be. You need to keep things organized, at least to some extent. It’s just a basic part of living. Also, let me ask you this, what do you think would happen if you brought a guy over?"

"A guy?"

Yuki looked somewhat puzzled.

"Why would I bring a boy here?"

"There are multiple reasons. You know, a lot of things. Maybe just to study, or even to do that. Either way, it wouldn’t be a pleasant experience for him if this place was this messy. Guys don’t like messy girls. And why are you giving me that look? Don’t tell me you haven’t made any guy friends or even female friends?"

"..." Yuki remained silent. She didn’t need to say anything. Jason understood the situation and sighed.

This was really troubling. He thought worriedly while scratching the back of his neck.

Instead of saying anything, Jason proceeded to clean and organize the entire room within fifteen minutes. He already knew it would likely return to its original messy state before long, but for some reason, he couldn’t just leave it as it was.

Once he was finished, he gathered his belongings and made his way to the door. Just before stepping out, he paused, glancing back at Yuki with a firm yet weary expression.

"You might not care about stuff like this, but at least try to pretend you do. Life isn’t just about fulfilling some duty or experiment. At some point, you should figure out what you want, outside of all this. And also... try to make some friends, okay?"

With those parting words, he stepped out and shut the door behind him.

Left alone in the now-clean room, Yuki replayed his words in her mind. For the first time, her expressionless face wavered, and a complicated look surfaced.

Make some friends, huh?

She wondered if something like that was truly possible given her circumstances. The idea of forming a friendship felt foreign. She didn’t even know how to start a conversation properly, let alone keep one engaging. How was she supposed to connect with someone in a way that led to friendship?

Inadvertently, a thought surfaced in her mind.

"Would Aspirant Nikolaus be considered my friend, I wonder?"

The day after the test evaluation, Instructor Jet made an announcement stating that their First Departure had been moved up to four weeks from now, meaning they would descend into the Shadow Realm in a month, not two. Apparently, there had been a fluctuation in the gateway leading to the First Shadow World, resulting in an unexpected stabilization of the passage. Considering this rare opportunity, the academy had decided to accelerate their schedule to take advantage of the situation.

In other words, all Aspirants would undergo what a few knowing fellows liked to call a "Training Montage." Their lessons would become increasingly harder to prepare them for their First Departure.

It was the duty of Ascendants to conquer Fractures and prevent the flood of monsters from spilling into reality. In other words, their purpose was to slay countless abominations and, if necessary, die in the name of the Emperor!

This was their only duty and purpose!

Thus, in order to prepare them for the Shadow Realm with such little time on their hands, the Instructors pushed their lessons even harder into the aspiring Ascendants. Truth be told, no amount of training could truly prepare them for the unforgiving nature of the Shadow Realm, and they knew this all too well as they had once been Aspirants themselves. Even so, if there was even the slightest chance of increasing their survival rate, then they would push them beyond their limits and forged them into warriors who could resist and endure the horrors that awaited.

Throughout the whole ordeal, Klaus’s personal routine remained largely unchanged. After completing basic hand-to-hand training and enduring countless virtual simulations in the Tactical Survival class, he would make his way to the library to study rune language under Yuki. Realizing that the Combat and Weapon Training Class had nothing more to offer him, he abandoned it entirely, choosing to devote himself fully to Tactical Survival.

Certainly, his progress was both smooth and steady.

There was a saying: "A drowning man will grasp at straws, but straws cannot lift him from the water."

In other words, the poor had no means of escaping poverty. But in Klaus’s case, he had shattered the shell called ’poverty’ and, as a result, joined the ranks of the privileged who were granted both education and the opportunity to continue being a privileged individual.

Of course, this transformation came with its own setbacks. By the time Klaus finished his lessons and daily studies, he would return to his dorm room utterly exhausted. Apparently, being an Ascendant didn’t grant immunity to physical and mental fatigue. To begin with, newly awakened Ascendants were not much different from ordinary humans.

If you punched them, they would feel pain.

If you stabbed them with a knife, they would bleed.

And if you landed a well-placed shot on them with a gun, they would die.

But this weakness would gradually fade as they climbed the ranks, growing stronger with each step.

This was simply the natural order of things. And Klaus was still at the very bottom of the ladder.

Even then, he couldn’t complain too much. There were some advantages to his current state. Beyond the pursuit of strength, he had also gained control over his growing lust and desire for sex, which was an issue made all the more troublesome by his current living situation.

A succubus was a being capable of effortlessly manipulating minds and seducing people.

Sharing a room with such a member of the demon race meant he had no choice but to practice meditation techniques, forcing himself to suppress his urges, even if only temporarily.

Speaking of a succubus, what was the skills and abilities of one outside the scope of seducing people?

Surely, that wouldn’t work on a Shadow Creature, right?

With this in mind, Klaus resolved to hone all his cards, ensuring that by the time he finally descended into the Shadow Realm, he would be able to wield them efficiently, including Briar.
