Temporal Pearls -
Chapter 72 - 72: I never Learn
As Manuella watched her kids fall asleep she walked out of their room noiselessly. She took a bath and lay on the bed, that was when she noticed a call.
"Good evening, Mr Silver!" She said, seeing the man's caller ID.
"Evening. I want to know about the boy you came with today!" The middle-aged man inquired.
"I have sent his information to you, you haven't read it yet?" She asked, her tone hasn't changed but she knew the underlying reason why the man called.
"I have, but last I heard he failed and you expelled him. Why bring him back!"
"Seth lost his touch with art before the First Session ended, for that reason I can't teach him anything and even if I did he couldn't learn. But the exam was his last chance, which he performed splendidly and for that reason, I brought him back!"
"I have spoken with some of the external examiners that rate the students and they informed me that his art is not that good." He said before he quickly added, "I'm not insinuating anything, I was just wondering why will there be a large disparity between their assessment and yours?"
Manuella Sefu lingered for some time and then said, "I will open my Show Room when the kids graduate, you will know why, then!"
The two became silent. Mr Silver wanted an explanation but Manuella was a woman of few words. She knew his intention and he may drag the conversation till he questioned her why she brought the kid to his home without prior notice.
"I'm not going to doubt your decision but still, is he clean? I heard he had a disease of weakness. What if it was contagious!"
"I cleaned him myself!" She said. Her tone was low and not inviting. A sigh was heard from the other end and the call was cut.
She closed her eyes and dropped the phone. Then a muscular hand wrapped around her in a hug from behind which put a smile on her face.
"Welcome back!" She whispered.

Seth has no idea that he wasn't the only one under pressure for being in a place he shouldn't but the only difference was that Manuella has enough status and connection that Mr Silver wouldn't dare query. Not to mention he wanted his two Talented kids of his to associate with her and also became something.
So, he had no choice but to drop the matter and watch the vermin keep coming, hoping that he wasn't a potential danger.

With anticipation, Seth closed his eyes and opened them in the game. However, excitement turned to horror as his body was becoming… mud.
[Health: Good>Bad>dying]
[Dying in this stage will collapse your entire avatar and permanently injure it]
"Fuck ME!" Seth shouted as he jumped out of the muddy barrel. His health keeps flashing…
[Dying]
[Dying]
[Dying]
[Dying]
Countless thoughts passed through his mind and then he concentrated his mind on his body to test something. That caused a little reaction as his melting skin or mudding skin somehow solidified and held together but then it began to dry and crack at the same time.
At that moment, the dying alert stopped for a moment before it began to blink but slow this time.
Seth can move his body but excessive movement will make his body crumble. To hold himself firm, he grabbed his Attire and carefully wore them.
[Azure Attire absolving Gawee Essence from your body]
[Transformation has slowed down]
[Health:Dying>Normal>Abnormal]
He calmed down a bit but looking at his face in clear water, his skin had changed completely and became something akin to a horror movie with skin like dried cement with fissures all over it and it was as black as charcoal!
Apart from that, he felt nothing, in fact, he was light and if he jumped he would pull down slowly to the ground if he wanted.
That was when what he was expecting appeared!
[Quest]
[Your feeble body has come in contact with Gawee Continent Essence for a prolonged period of time and your body was been transformed to be part of it]
[Quest Objective]
~Devour 100 Kilograms of Meat!
~Deavour 10 Kilograms Of Gramango!
[Reword]
~Normalization Crystal!
[Note: You have 1 hour.]
Seth immediately activated Aura Sight and he was able to see the Red hue of the Camel, from his position. And then a strike killed the innocent beast and Seth jogged toward it.
Without care for blood and skin, Seth began to feed on it directly. He doesn't have time to dissect it, cook or smoke it. Even if he has, he won't do it.
The more he ate, the more he felt his body stabilize and was also notified of how many kilograms of meat he ate. Strangely his stomach was like a bottomless abyss.
The truth though, his body was converting that meat to produce the Mud his Attire was absorbing keeping his body safe. If he hadn't eaten the meat then it was his body that would continue to deviate.
In no time, he managed to eat the required quantity of meat but he was dead tired. Still, he pushed himself after drinking some water and went around fruit tree testing hoping to find the right one.

After a tedious search, Seth sat with a dejected look, he has become akin to a skeleton with no ounce of meat or fat—because they were converted to Gawee.
"I never learned, he whispered!" He was now holding a Crystal called Normalization which made his body return to normal from becoming Gawee the moment he touched it.
The Crystal later shattered and disappeared. Even with a body like a skeleton, Seth was feeling strong and his health was Good but hungry. He then walked and dragged the remains of the camel and prepared to make genuine food and preserve the rest.
What happened to him wasn't all bad. By his body converting to Gawee and a bit of Graviton, he was able to feed his Attire a lot more of them. And they improved better than if he only used the stone on them alone.
"My game progression has slowed down to a crawl! I hope after I come back to normal I will be able to explore outside the forest but before that, I have to document every damn tree in this forest."
