Chapter 161: Chapter 157 The Truth of More Than a Decade Ago
In the exquisite courtyard, two female demons led Li Fan to the backyard pool and helped him undress.
"Sister Fox Demon, let me do it myself, no need to trouble you." Li Fan said.
"Young master, just enjoy yourself. It’s rare to see a human, let us serve you well." The Fox Demon’s hands moved over Li Fan, unbuttoning his coat.
"If Sister Fox Demon insists, I’ll go directly to see Lord Demon Saint." Li Fan said. Coming to someone else’s territory, he could only comply honestly. Since the Demon Saint wanted him to bathe and change clothes, he could only follow the rules.
However, letting demons help... he really wasn’t used to it.
A Fox Demon leaned her head close to him, a pair of alluring eyes staring at him, smiling as she said, "Young master, remember to call for us when you need us."
Saying this, the two Fox Demons turned to leave.
"Sister, are all humans this shy? Lord Bailong usually lets us serve, why doesn’t he like it?"
"Perhaps he despises us as demons. I’ve heard humans consider themselves superior."
"That’s a pity. I find this human boy quite attractive and was thinking of coupling with him."
"Sister, don’t speak nonsense. How can demons and humans be together?"
Li Fan, hearing the conversation between the two demonesses, suddenly had a dark expression.
Most demons in the Yun Meng Swamp world had not interacted with humans. While learning from humans, they still exuded a primitive aura unintentionally...
Truly direct.
Li Fan stepped into the pool to bathe; the water was warm. He crouched, closed his eyes, and contemplated.
Upon entering the demon world, escape seemed unlikely. Not to mention Bailong, even the speed of the Peacock Demon King wasn’t something he could easily evade.
And even if he escapes, where could he run to?
But if the Lord Demon Saint meant him harm, how could he protect himself?
He needed to prepare for the worst.
Half an hour later, the two Fox Demons returned, curiously appraising Li Fan’s submerged body.
"So fair." The younger Fox Demon remarked.
Li Fan: "..."
"Here are young master’s clothes." The elder Fox Demon placed a stack of clothes beside the pool, giggling as she asked, "Need help dressing up?"
"No need." Li Fan replied. Once the two Fox Demons left, he dressed and stepped out, finding the clothes fitting quite well.
The Fox Demons eyed Li Fan. The younger one whispered, "Are all human men this handsome?"
"Not really." Li Fan replied, thinking that men as good-looking as him were rare.
"If I get the chance, I’d also like to visit the human world." The younger Fox Demon expressed some yearning, and Li Fan suddenly thought of Aunt Mei.
Could it be that many demons here longed for the human world because Aunt Mei, through Yun Meng Swamp, emulated humans?
However, Aunt Mei’s journey should have happened many years ago.
At this moment, Bailong returned and glanced at Li Fan, saying, "Come with me to meet Lord Demon Saint."
Li Fan nodded, surrounded by a gentle breeze, gliding through the air.
Since he was already here and escape was impossible, he decided to face it calmly.
Bailong led the way; Li Fan followed, heading towards the towering palace.
At the palace outskirts, demon guards were stationed, with demonic heads and human bodies, in neat formation. Upon Bailong’s arrival, all demons saluted.
Bailong led Li Fan forward; Li Fan looked at the magnificent ancient palaces, feeling as if he were on a pilgrimage.
The further they went, the higher-ranking the demons they encountered.
They arrived outside the main hall; a grand staircase lay ahead. Below the stairs, the Bull Demon King Li Fan had seen earlier was guarding it with a battle axe, exuding dignity and solemnity.
There was also the Jiao Demon King, who stared at Li Fan with murderous intent.
His offspring had died in the battle with humans, killed by Huang Xiong.
Atop the stairs stood the Peacock Demon King.
And demon kings Li Fan had not yet met.
These demon kings were all of the Sixth Realm.
Li Fan ascended the stairs, reaching the outside of the palace; he felt a pang of reflection. Li Mountain had slain demons and vanquished evil; even his masters and brothers had never seen so many top-tier great demons at once.
Pairs of eyes stared at Li Fan, wielding a formidable oppressive force. Although demons learned from humans, they still harbored innate hostility towards them, natural adversaries from the start.
Arriving outside the grand hall, Li Fan gazed in, seeing a different scene: a group of women dancing gracefully. These women were transformed from demons, dressed sensuously.
Bailong looked into the hall, bowed, and said, "Lord Demon Saint, the human is here."
"Bring him in." A languid voice replied, a woman’s voice no less.
The Demon Saint, is female?
"Yes." Bailong led Li Fan into the hall. The dancing women retreated to both sides. Li Fan glanced at them; they were foxes, just like the fox sisters in Bailong’s mansion.
His gaze shifted to the front. At the top of the hall, a languid figure lay on a chair, clad in a fiery red robe, like thin gauze yet dazzlingly splendid. The robe didn’t cover the long, beautiful legs and perfect curves. Just her figure was enough to incite desire.
She lay there casually, long hair draped over the chair; supporting her head with a hand, she turned her gaze. Li Fan saw a stunning, bewitching face, her eyes captivating with just one look, seizing the soul.
A fiery red mark adorned her brow, exuding a sense of nobility.
Li Fan had met many beautiful women, like Lu Yuan, Ji Xue, Li Hongyi, and the demoness Liu Ji, but upon seeing this woman, he sighed. Perhaps only his senior sister’s face could match hers.
But the beauty of his senior sister and the demon saint before him was entirely different; his sister was an otherworldly fairy, while the demon saint was beauty taken to demonic extremes.
The woman’s brows curved upon seeing him, her exceedingly seductive eyes harboring a faint smile that slightly distracted Li Fan, causing his mind to waver; those not strong of heart might succumb at a glance.
"Human cultivator Li Fan, greets Lord Demon Saint." Li Fan bowed and greeted.
This Demon Saint, it seemed, was a fox?
"Come a bit closer." The Demon Saint’s voice remained languid. Li Fan raised his head but still walked forward.
"Closer still." The Demon Saint laughed.
Li Fan continued forward, stopping not far from her.
The Demon Saint stood up, revealing her perfect curves. She stepped forward, moving to Li Fan’s side, tilting close as if sniffing something.
She circled Li Fan, then stood before him, asking, "What demon resides within you?"
"I don’t know." Li Fan was already mentally prepared. As he expected, the focus was on the demon within him.
However, this Demon Saint’s perception was unexpectedly sharp. In the Yun Meng Swamp outskirts, she could sense the demon energy within him?
Could it be her innate ability?
"What demon resides within you?" A voice directly reached his mind. Li Fan visualized her figure, seemingly exuding an undeniable aura.
"I don’t know... " Li Fan almost subconsciously replied; as he came to his senses, he found her gazing at him with a smile, causing a cold sweat to break out.
Soul Capture?
"You don’t know how the demon got inside you?" The Demon Saint persisted.
Li Fan shook his head again.
"Interesting, I’ll take a look inside." The Demon Saint said, and the next moment Li Fan sensed a shadow directly entering his body, his body froze, unable to move, his consciousness sinking within.
He saw the demon energy surging inside, and at the same time, the Demon Saint’s shadow manifested within him...
"Interesting, a demon merged with human essence." The Demon Saint spoke inside Li Fan, and he could hear her words clearly.
"Come out." The Demon Saint commanded.
Inside Li Fan, golden demon energy surged violently, her gaze fixated internally, until two golden lights, resembling eyes, emerged from the turbulent energy.
"Where do you come from?" The Demon Saint asked those eyes.
"Nine-tailed Heavenly Fox."
A voice echoed in Li Fan’s mind, causing a severe tremor inside him.
The demon within him, did it already have consciousness?
And this Lord Demon Saint’s true form was the legendary Divine Fox, the Nine-tailed Heavenly Fox.
The nine-tailed fox shadow surged into the demon energy.
Boom...
The demon energy within Li Fan suddenly went berserk, uncontrollable. His eyes turned a golden hue, intensely demonic.
His internal demon energy was also raging.
Moments later, the Demon Saint’s shadow reappeared in Li Fan, smiling. "The turmoil in the human world over a decade ago arose because of you. How interesting."
With that, the shadow exited Li Fan’s body.
Li Fan regained his senses, opening his eyes to see the Demon Saint smiling at him.
"A human can coexist with a demon. You should have become its food. I’m quite curious how you survived?" The Demon Saint wore an intrigued expression, seemingly very interested in Li Fan.
Li Fan surviving was nothing short of a miracle.
"You said the demon turmoil over a decade ago was because of the demon inside me?" Li Fan asked, recalling her previous words, causing inner turmoil.
"Yes." The Demon Saint nodded.
A glint of pain suddenly flashed in Li Fan’s eyes.
Was it because of him?
He recalled the scene when he met his senior sister, surrounded by demons.
It’s said that in that catastrophe, many died on Li Mountain, with the Li Mountain Sword Master perishing in the chaos.
Was the root of all this due to the demon within him?
Involvement with him.
Li Mountain was right to kill him...
The Demon Saint wondered how he survived.
Li Fan surely knew how he survived, His senior sister and the Old Blind Man’s resolute efforts allowed him to survive.
