Chapter 418: Chapter 418: Very Important Matter Chapter 418: Chapter 418: Very Important Matter Shen Zhaozhao was curious about what he considered to be very important, but she had already made an appointment with the designer, so she had to split up with Sheng Chuyi.
Shen Zhaozhao went to the other party’s studio, whom she had been contacting online until now. This was the first time Shen Zhaozhao met her in person, and she was an exceptionally beautiful woman.
The woman showed her around the studio and took her to see several actual case examples, as well as a site that was almost fully decorated.
Shen Zhaozhao was very pleased with her, both as a person and with her design. She signed a contract on the spot and paid a portion of the deposit. The designer would take care of contacting the workers and the follow-up decoration matters.
They had lunch together at noon. In the middle, the designer received a phone call and had to leave first.
Shen Zhaozhao admired her quite a bit, feeling she was beautiful and capable in her work, and apparently not much older than herself.
As a fellow woman, she still had no idea what she wanted to do in the future.
There really was no comparison.
In the afternoon, Sheng Chuyi drove to pick her up.
“How did it go?”
Shen Zhaozhao, “We’ve talked things over for the most part. We can start anytime, just waiting for the renovation master to come.”
“Is there anything I can help with?” Sheng Chuyi turned and asked her.
“Actually, yes. She gave me a whole list today, and I don’t understand any of it. Could you help me look it over later?” It was her first house, and she wanted to use the best materials possible.
“Sure!”
After talking about the renovation, Shen Zhaozhao asked, “Where are we going now? Aren’t we going back?”
“Do you want to stay at home?” Sheng Chuyi turned and asked.
“I don’t mind either way!” Anyway, staying at Yiyi’s place felt just like being at her own home.
Sheng Chuyi, “But I prefer it when it’s just the two of us living together.”
Shen Zhaozhao didn’t know why, but her face suddenly felt hot, and she quickly changed the subject, “But our luggage is still over there. Also, shouldn’t we inform Uncle Sheng and Aunt Suxin before just moving out like this? Wouldn’t it be impolite not to?”
“No worries, I’ll go over later to pick it up and inform them then,” Sheng Chuyi said.
“Oh!” Since he put it that way, Shen Zhaozhao didn’t say anything more.
Back at the rental, she found the place had been tidied up and some new furniture had been added, making it feel more like home.
Even the bed sheets were new. She wondered where the old ones had been discarded.
Shen Zhaozhao turned to Sheng Chuyi and asked, “When did you arrange all this?”
Sheng Chuyi, “Before I came to pick you up. How do you like it?”
Shen Zhaozhao was both surprised and not surprised, “So the very important thing you mentioned this morning was about coming back here to arrange things?”
“Yes, although this is just our temporary place, I still wanted you to live more comfortably.”
His sudden effort really made it feel like this was their temporary little home.
Thinking about the previous night, Shen Zhaozhao knew that he was planning to start a real cohabitation life with her.
As for before, they were merely sharing a lease.
But would Shen Zhaozhao agree to his wishes?
Of course not!
After dinner, Shen Zhaozhao quickly confined herself to her room. When Sheng Chuyi came to knock on her door, she blocked him outside and said, “You were the one who suggested sleeping in separate rooms. I still prefer sleeping alone in a big bed, so you’ll just have to make do with the small bed next door!”
Sheng Chuyi didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
Had he shot himself in the foot?
