"Boss, bring us three bowls of meat noodles." A man with thick bread shouted to the owner.

"Sure. Please wait for a moment." The stall owner replied with a smile on his face.

Xu Xiang glanced at them and found that there were two other men beside the bearded man, who were wearing the same clothes as him. The tall men look clean and behave like a scholar, while the thin men look fierce. From the way they speak and move, Xu Xiang can guess that they are not ordinary citizens.

Before they noticed her gaze, Xu Xiang looked away and pretended to look around. Not long after, the stall owner delivered their order and said, "Customers, please enjoy."

After Xu Xiang thanked him, the stall owner hurried to prepare the next order. Seeing that no one paid attention to them, she replaced the water in the teapot with the lake water she boiled.

She poured a glass of water for Mu Yucheng, and said in a low voice: "Those three people are not simple."

Mu Yucheng nodded, took a sip of water, but his eyes stayed on the three men. A few minutes later, the stall owner delivered the order for the three men sitting on the table behind them. Smelling the aroma of chicken noodles, the three men quickly picked up their chopsticks and started eating hungrily.

Both Xu Xiang and Mu Yucheng are very patient people. They knew that these people should know something, so they sat there quietly. A few minutes later, the bearded man put down the empty bowl and chopsticks, then wiped his lips with a satisfied expression.

He poured himself a cup of water, finished the water at once, and asked, "Has the information about the location been sent yet?"

The tall man put down his chopsticks, wiped his lips with a handkerchief elegantly, and calmly said, "Not yet."

Hearing his answer, the bearded man frowned slightly, then looked at the thin man and asked, "What about your side? Have they contacted you again?"

The thin man shook his head and continued eating. This time, the bearded man showed a dissatisfied expression, clenched his hands and said, "What are they doing? The time is almost up, but they haven’t contacted us. Do they still want to do this or not?"

Hearing his loud voice, the tall man quickly looked around. Seeing that no one was paying attention to them, he breathed a sigh of relief, and said, "Keep your voice down! Do you know what would happen to us if we spoiled their plan?"

The bearded man snorted, but still held back his temper. After a moment of silence, the thin man finished his chicken noodles and said, "There is still time left until midnight. All we have to do now is wait for them to contact us patiently. If they don’t contact us by midnight, we have to leave the city immediately."

His two companions nodded, and the bearded man took out a few coins and put them on the table. The three of them took a look at Mu Yucheng and Xu Xiang when they walked past them, then left without paying attention to the two of them anymore. The stall owner saw them leave and quickly cleared the table and collected the money.

Xu Xiang drank all the water, and then put a broken piece of silver on the table. She stood up and said, "Uncle, thank you for the tea."

"Please come again." The stall owner said with a smile while clearing the table and collecting the silver.

After finishing speaking, she and Mu Yucheng followed behind the three suspicious men. They followed the trio for hours until the sky changed color and the sun went down the west horizon.

After lying on the roof of a three-story inn for two hours, Xu Xiang saw the three men sneaking out. This inn is far away from the bustling central area, and there are not many guests staying here albeit the ongoing flower festival.

If it weren’t for the flower festival being held, Xu Xiang estimated that there would not be a single customer staying in this broken inn. For others, this place is not a good place to spend the night. But for these three people, this place is perfect for them to avoid peering eyes.

Mu Yucheng, who was sitting beside her, said calmly: "They went to the south gate."

After finishing speaking, he looked at Xu Xiang and said with a light smile on the corner of his lips.

"Xiang’er, you don’t have to lie down like this. Those three people are not good at martial arts, so they won’t notice us." When he said this, there was a hint of laughter in his voice.
