After the bearded man finished dividing his subordinate into teams, Xiao Houzi took ten men and brought the women back to their fort. After Xiao Houzi left, the bearded man led eighteen people back to the village. Five minutes later, they arrived at the dried river.

"You two, go and keep watch." The bearded man said calmly.

The two men nodded to him, and then walked to the left and right sides of the kitchen building. The bearded man motioned for the others to follow him and walked towards the locked building door.

Looking at the strange handle on the door, he thought, ’Why is everything so strange in this village?’

While he was deep in thought, one of his subordinates asked, "Lao Da, what are you doing? Shall we go in or not?"

The bearded man was displeased with his questioning, and scolded him in a low voice: "Am I the boss or are you the boss?!"

Looking at his subordinates, he said, "All of you searching for food here. The three of you follow me to the second floor."

As soon as he finished speaking, they quickly went to search the kitchen. The bearded man then led three men to go upstairs. Not long after, he and the other three had already stepped onto the second floor.

Instead of a large room, they saw another door at the top of the stairs. The bearded man looked at the equally strange handle on the door and laughed.

In the same way like how he broke into the kitchen building, he broke the lock on the door with one blow.

He threw away the broken lock and kicked the door open. When he saw the inside of the room, his eyes suddenly widened. He couldn’t help laughing while saying, "Hahaha! Tonight is our lucky day! You, go and call the others to move these foods out!"

Among the three people following him, one of them quickly said, "Yes, Lao Da!"

In just twenty minutes, they had moved away more than half of the supplies in the second floor of the kitchen building. Seeing that they couldn’t carry more than this, the bearded man said, "Enough. We will bring more people back later. Let’s go back for now."

Hearing his words, the others said in unison: "Yes, Lao Da."

When they left the village with supplies, Mu Yucheng carried Xu Xiang and jumped down from the roof of the kitchen. After making sure she was standing firmly on the ground, he let go of her waist.

Mu Yucheng stood beside her, looked around the warehouse, and said, "It seems that they took away more than half of the supplies you prepared as bait."

She nodded and said, "Mhm. Seeing that they only took the meat, water and fruit, it seems that they have enough staple food back in their base."

"Does it matter if those people have enough staple food or not in their base?" He asked curiously.

Xu Xiang looked at him and said, "If they don’t take our staple food, then that means they have more than enough to eat. Based on this assumption, there are two possibilities. The first is that they have sources that can provide them with enough staple food, but not with meat, water and fruit. Based on the information obtained later by A Lu Qian, this could mean a lot. The second is that they can grow their own staple food. If this is the reason, then we have more options in the way we save this world."

He listened to her explanation and fell into deep thought. Seeing that he had no more questions, she tidied up the warehouse and replenished supplies. After that, she went down to the ground floor and started tidying up the messy kitchen.
