Supremely Talented Tyrant
Chapter 978 - 977: I Don't Want to Die Yet!

"Get some water and wake him up!"

When Hao Jian entered the room, the first person he saw was Yan Ming, and Hao Jian's expression immediately darkened.

"Yes!"

Upon hearing this, Spice Ginger quickly nodded and then pointed at one of his subordinates, saying, "You, go get a basin of water and wake this brat up for me!"

The subordinate immediately dashed off, returned with a basin of water, and, following Spice Ginger's nod, fiercely splashed the entire basin onto Yan Ming.

"Splash!"

The icy water instantly soaked Yan Ming's clothes, snapping him out of his unconscious state as he jolted awake, his eyes slowly opening in confusion...

"How's life treating you here?"

Seeing Yan Ming awake, Hao Jian took a step forward, peering at the still-dazed Yan Ming. Smiling as if he were addressing an old friend, he spoke these words, his tone deceptively light.....

However, only Yan Ming knew just how terrifying this man's methods could be. Hearing Hao Jian's voice, he immediately widened his eyes in fury, flames of anger igniting within as he roared furiously, "Hao Jian, let me go!"

"Oh? Being tortured to this extent and still having the energy to shout; looks like we haven't pushed far enough."

Seeing how Yan Ming still had some vigor left in him, Hao Jian curled his lips into a smirk before casting a glance at Spice Ginger, laughing lightly, "Spice Ginger, looks like your torture methods have really weakened lately. Even a brat like him refuses to buckle under pressure; he still dares to act fierce with me!"

"Young Master Hao, rest assured. I'll make sure this bastard learns the true meaning of Hell."

Spice Ginger, provoked by Hao Jian's words, felt his pride stung. Yan Ming's fear grew even more intense upon hearing this, fresh memories of Spice Ginger's cruel methods from the previous night flashing vividly in his mind.......

Damn it, this bastard still dares to challenge Young Master Hao?! I'll make sure he begs for death!

Spice Ginger rolled up his sleeves as he strode toward Yan Ming, grabbing a whip along the way. He snapped it in the air, the sharp crack echoing loudly through the warehouse...

"Brat, hurry… hurry up and let me go!" Seeing Spice Ginger approaching, Yan Ming's fear finally broke through as he angrily howled at Hao Jian, attempting to threaten him, "Don't you want to save your woman?! Whatever she consumed, the antidote is only with me!"

"Are you really willing to watch her die right in front of your eyes?!"

Realizing that other threats wouldn't work on Hao Jian, Yan Ming tried to exploit Hao Jian's feelings for Ye Linglan, hoping to strike at his soft spot.

Whether his words were true or false was something only Yan Ming himself knew. What mattered was preserving his life for now—anything to survive. And only once he managed that could he plot against Hao Jian instead of remaining his captive!

Hao Jian cast him a faint glance but showed no sign of care, strolling over to a tea table laden with tea sets. Nearby, a subordinate was diligently brewing tea......

Spice Ginger had few hobbies, but tea was his one obsession. If it could be acquired by proper means, he would spare no effort to get it.

After all, Hao Jian had once instructed him that while it was permissible to engage in shady dealings, harming good people was strictly forbidden. When a problem could be solved through proper channels, he had to stick to them. If those failed, alternative options, like taking from the corrupt, could be explored...

Spice Ginger had adhered to these principles for years without fail.......

"Let me go! Damn you all—every one of you bastards will face retribution one day!"

Seeing Hao Jian ignoring him and Spice Ginger advancing with torture tools, Yan Ming's face turned desperate. Only he, the victim, truly understood the pain these implements inflicted—every session left him wishing for death...

Previously, Spice Ginger used methods like coating wounds with chili oil or beating him with wooden rods. Now, with a whip in hand and clutching a small glass bottle, Yan Ming's terror grew exponentially.

The unknown was the most horrifying thing.

Yan Ming had no idea what was inside that glass bottle, but he could tell that Spice Ginger wouldn't resort to ordinary torture tools. The contents of the bottle might very well be something horrifying...

"Heh heh, what if I whipped you, smeared some honey on your body, and then introduced you to my hornets? I'm sure they'd love your blood," Spice Ginger sneered cruelly, raising the bottle and shaking it lightly as icy words escaped his mouth.

The bottle contained hornets—specifically, venomous ones he'd had his men capture from a nearby mountain hive. If the hornets stung Yan Ming, mere pain would be the least of his worries...

"No... no... let me go! Please! I don't want to die yet!" Yan Ming's expression grew increasingly panicked upon realizing the bottle contained venomous hornets. He had heard tales of how a few hornets could kill an ox...

He didn't have the robust stamina of an ox and imagining those hornets swarming over honey-coated wounds filled him with dread!

"Hao Jian, do you really not care about your woman? Without my antidote, she'll certainly die!" Yan Ming abruptly turned his gaze back toward Hao Jian, shouting angrily in desperation.

"Tsk. And you think your amateurish tactics could ever threaten Hao Jian? Using outdated aphrodisiacs on Linglan? You clearly lack creativity," Hao Jian scoffed, lifting a freshly brewed cup of tea. Despite its scalding temperature, he downed it in one go, curling his lips into a faint smile and signaling Spice Ginger to halt.

If Hao Jian couldn't resolve even Yan Ming's petty aphrodisiac, he wouldn't deserve his reputation as one of the nation's top doctors—let alone his title as a Martial Artist!

"Young Master Hao, what are your orders?"

Seeing Hao Jian's gesture, Spice Ginger immediately halted his actions and asked earnestly.

"Go get a fishing net. You should have one here, right?"

"We do!"

Fishing nets weren't stored directly at the warehouse, but there was a nearby fishing village, so obtaining one from the locals would be easy.

Upon hearing Hao Jian's request, Spice Ginger instructed a subordinate to fetch a net promptly.

The fishing village wasn't far, and within ten minutes, the subordinate returned with a thick net, presenting it to Hao Jian respectfully: "Young Master Hao, the net you requested has been brought."

"Good."

Spotting the net, Hao Jian beamed and pointed toward Yan Ming, whose face was now painted with fear of the unknown. With a smile, he said, "Wrap this guy from head to toe with the net—don't miss a single spot."

"Understood!" Responding swiftly, the subordinates joined forces to bind Yan Ming tightly with the net.

Spice Ginger, still puzzled, walked up to Hao Jian, asking curiously, "Young Master Hao, what's the purpose of this net?"

"Are you familiar with the ancient punishment called 'lingchi'?" Hao Jian smirked coldly, his lips curling into a cruel arc.

"Lingchi?"

Spice Ginger paused briefly before nodding, asking in awe, "Young Master Hao, do you plan to use lingchi on this guy?!"

"That's right..."

"You… you... What are you planning to do to me?!"

Seeing the men wrapping a net around him, fear engulfed Yan Ming's face. He had initially thought Spice Ginger's earlier threat was terrifying enough, but now, this seemingly unremarkable net left him trembling with an even deeper dread.

"Nothing much—just letting you experience a punishment that modern times rarely allow," Hao Jian finally responded, his smile sharp and unyielding. "Lingchi… Surely your knowledge hasn't failed you on that?"

"Ling... Lingchi?!

Upon hearing the word, Yan Ming's expression instantly collapsed. Panicking, he pleaded, his voice trembling: "Let... let me go! I… I don't want to die!"

"I was wrong! I shouldn't have harbored desires toward Ye Linglan! Please let me go... I'll never interfere in Ye Linglan's life again…"

"It's all my fault! I beg you! Please don't let me die!"

"Heh. I told you back on stage: touching my woman and surviving was a rare stroke of luck. But instead of treasuring that luck, you threw it away and dared cross my path again. You've given me every reason to kill you..." Hao Jian said coldly, picking up another freshly brewed cup of tea. Despite its searing heat, he drank it with indifference, glaring at Yan Ming in disdain.

"Plea—"

"Shut up!"

Yan Ming tried once more to beg, but his words were cut short as a subordinate landed a fierce slap across his face, followed by an irate growl!
