Supremely Talented Tyrant
Chapter 959 - 958: Too Much!

"The renowned jewelry designer, Yuan Shanshan, has been cornered at her doorstep by nannies she allegedly owes wages to. We will provide live updates on this developing situation!"

At the very moment this uproar was unfolding at Yuan Shanshan's residence, Hao Jian, who was lounging at home, happened to swipe his palm across the remote, landing on the local TV channel broadcasting the news of Yuan Shanshan's wage dispute.

"Whoosh!"

Seeing this news, Hao Jian, who had been leisurely munching on snacks on the sofa, suddenly shot to his feet, his eyes locked intently on the banner-waving, cursing nannies behind the reporter...

"Damn it! These people dare to mess with my woman?!"

Hao Jian, who knew Yuan Shanshan better than anyone, simply couldn't believe she would commit such an act of withholding wages. Though she might be a little penny-pinching, she had her principles in such matters. For her to do such a thing would require the world to turn upside down.

Cursing under his breath, Hao Jian hurried to his bedroom. After quickly getting dressed, he dashed downstairs, started his Enzo, and sped toward Yuan Shanshan's new villa.

"Sis, what do we do now?!"

Yuan Zhibang peered through the window at the increasingly chaotic scene outside, his face showing deep concern. He then turned to Yuan Shanshan and asked, "Should we call my brother-in-law to handle this? With his capabilities, it might not take long to resolve the situation..."

"Let's not bother your brother-in-law for now. He's already busy as it is, and things haven't escalated to an unmanageable level just yet. Let me see if I can handle this..."

Hearing Yuan Zhibang's suggestion, Yuan Shanshan pondered for a moment before shaking her head slowly. The situation was still within her ability to control, and besides, she didn't want to rely on Hao Jian for every problem — it would make her appear incompetent.

"But those nannies are going too far! We clearly paid their wages, yet they're biting back at us like this. How can their hearts be so sinister?!"

Understanding his sister's reasoning, Yuan Zhibang nodded reluctantly. However, when his gaze shifted toward the nannies at the doorway, his expression turned into a cold sneer, his anger boiling over.

When the nannies worked in their home, they weren't even burdened with heavy tasks, only light cleaning duties. In fact, for half the month, there was hardly any work to do. Such a cushy, high-paying job was rare to come by.

One would think they'd be grateful, but who could've imagined these people would not only turn down such a great job but also fabricate baseless claims to extort money from them!

Had their consciences been eaten by dogs?!

"Zhibang, don't worry. Con artists like them won't get away with this for long!" Glancing at her brother's enraged expression, Yuan Shanshan offered a soft comfort. Yet deep within her strikingly radiant eyes hid a seething fury far greater than Yuan Zhibang's. After all, anyone in her shoes would be livid.

While the siblings in the villa deliberated on how to resolve the situation, outside, the nannies continued waving their banners and shouting defamatory accusations through a loudspeaker, tarnishing Yuan Shanshan's reputation.

A short distance from the reporters, a teenage girl — barely 15 years old — gripped her phone tightly, nervous and trembling.

"Boss, Yuan Shanshan is a world-renowned figure. Are you sure this won't backfire on us?"

"Relax. Our plan is seamless. No one except Yuan Shanshan herself knows the truth. And even if she does, it's useless. As long as we stick to our story, there's nothing she can do!"

A voice laced with smugness and disdain came from the phone, instantly calming the nervous nanny. If the boss had such confidence, all they needed to do was follow orders.

After all, they had pulled stunts like this plenty of times before — though in the past, it was only against minor wealthy families with limited media attention. This was their first attempt at targeting a world-famous figure like Yuan Shanshan, so it was natural to feel a bit jittery.

As the chaos outside escalated, Hao Jian arrived near Yuan Shanshan's villa. He parked the Enzo quietly on a secluded roadside, then stealthily leapt into the property's yard. Casting a quick glance at the commotion by the front gate, he smirked and shook his head.

Then, he slowly pushed open the front door...

"Who's there?!"

Inside the villa, Yuan Shanshan, who had been discussing solutions with Yuan Zhibang, suddenly turned her head toward the noise at the entrance.

"It's me..."

Wearing a faint smile, Hao Jian gently pushed the door open. His gaze landed on the siblings in the living room as he chuckled, "If I hadn't caught the news on TV, I wouldn't have known you were in such deep trouble..."

"Hehe, brother-in-law!"

Seeing who it was, Yuan Zhibang grinned sheepishly. He then glanced at Yuan Shanshan, who had lowered her head slightly, and teased, "Sis, I told you he'd come. Even if you didn't call him, he'd find out on his own..."

"Now, better focus on how to deal with him... I'll leave you two to it!"

Before Yuan Shanshan could shoot him an annoyed glare, Yuan Zhibang darted upstairs, leaving her no chance to react.

"That brat!"

Watching her brother scamper off, Yuan Shanshan waved a delicate fist in mock frustration. Then, sighing in resignation, she turned to the smiling Hao Jian. "As you can see, I'm in quite the mess..."

"Haha, I thought the great Yuan Shanshan wasn't planning to ask for my help anymore," Hao Jian teased, ignoring her complaint.

"Hmph! Who's asking for your help? Weren't you the one who came running unsolicited? I can handle this myself!"

Hao Jian laughed softly, flicking her forehead playfully. "Why not take the easiest route to solve your problems?"

"Besides, you're underestimating this situation. Do you think these nannies started this uproar without reason?"

"What are you implying?"

Rolling her eyes at him, Yuan Shanshan hesitated. In her earlier agitation, she had overlooked that detail. Now prompted by Hao Jian, she started piecing things together.

Seeing her quick realization, Hao Jian smiled faintly. The girl wasn't too dim after all — just a push in the right direction was enough. "There's likely a force behind these nannies orchestrating everything. Otherwise, they wouldn't dare challenge someone of your stature on their own."

"What's more, I bet the compensation they're demanding isn't a small sum..."

"They're asking for a million..."

Yuan Shanshan admitted awkwardly. She hadn't expected Hao Jian to deduce so much at a glance, while she'd foolishly believed she could handle it on her own. How naïve of her...

"A million?"

Hao Jian's gaze turned icy. While that amount meant little to him or even Yuan Shanshan, it was outrageous to demand such a sum over nonexistent claims. This was blatant extortion — and they thought they could pull it off without consequences?

"Leave this to me. You should stay home; getting swarmed by reporters would only make things worse."

"Alright!"

Relieved, Yuan Shanshan didn't protest. If Hao Jian was taking over, she trusted he'd handle it far more effectively than she ever could.

"Spice Ginger!"

Hao Jian quickly dialed Spice Ginger's number. After a moment's thought, he spoke firmly, "You've seen the news this morning, I assume?"

"News?"

Spice Ginger, who was about to leave for an errand, paused upon hearing Hao Jian's call. Realizing what he meant, she smacked her forehead and exclaimed, "Young Master Hao, you're referring to Miss Yuan Shanshan's story, right?"

"Exactly. Investigate this for me. You've got three days to uncover who's behind it all."

"I want to know who dares target my woman like this!"

"Understood!"

Receiving his orders, Spice Ginger immediately canceled her plans, drove back to her office, and tasked her team with the investigation.

"Now we wait for results..."
