Supremely Talented Tyrant -
Chapter 943 - 942 Are You Satisfied?
"I, Hao Jian, never like to repeat myself. I don't care for this guy. If you can't resolve this for me, I'll just go to your superiors. I'm sure they'll find a way to handle it."
Hao Jian simply narrowed his eyes slightly, his gaze shifting to the confused Jiang Bin in the distance. Turning back to Xiong Wei, he spoke softly.
Although his tone was light, the chilling undertone within his words struck Xiong Wei like an icy blade, sending shivers through him. Immediately, he slammed his head to the ground and stammered, "Y-Yes! Whatever Young Master Hao says goes. There's no need to trouble the higher-ups; I can resolve this on my own!"
If the higher-ups were to get involved, they might not hesitate to throw his childhood companion in jail; even his nephew could end up behind bars. For a young man like him, that would be far from fortunate. Without hesitation, he quickly took charge…
"Someone, come here!"
Seeing Hao Jian nod in approval, Xiong Wei urgently waved at the officers by the patrol car and barked, "Take Jiang Bin, who violated police regulations, back to the station. Process his dismissal. As for his son, take him as well. And notify the school administration to expel Jiang Hualiang."
"Yes, sir!"
The three officers quickly responded and approached Jiang Bin and Jiang Hualiang, escorting the two into the patrol car. Strangely, Jiang Bin offered no resistance. He couldn't comprehend how his childhood friend could arrest him and even grovel so obediently before a young man, almost sycophantic in manner.
"Young Master Hao, does this decision meet with your satisfaction?" After the pair was loaded into the car, Xiong Wei nervously asked Hao Jian, forcing the words out despite his apprehension.
Surely Hao Jian could see the intent behind his actions. But, Xiong Wei had no choice. Jiang Bin was a childhood friend, with an elderly mother at home. If he fell, it wouldn't bode well for his family. Jiang Hualiang was young, and Xiong Wei couldn't bear to see him lose his future either.
He was gambling on Hao Jian's indifference, banking on the matter being considered insignificant. If he won, he could rest easy. If he lost, his position could very well be at stake.
"As long as those two never appear in my line of sight again, it doesn't matter how you handle the rest. They're mere nobodies—letting them go or not is of no consequence to me."
Hao Jian gave Xiong Wei a long, pointed look, the corners of his mouth curling into a faint smirk. He spoke with a lightness that conveyed how little he cared about Jiang Bin and his son. They were insignificant, swiftly dealt with and forgotten.
"Oh, and by the way, the injured party here is Teacher Zhou Yu. I expect you to provide adequate compensation. After all, your people are responsible for this…"
While Hao Jian himself couldn't be bothered, Zhou Yu behind him wasn't in the same position. Zhou Yu was just an ordinary person without Hao Jian's influence. He got hurt while standing up for justice, so compensation was only fair—and that burden fell squarely on Xiong Wei and his people.
"No problem! No problem at all!"
Grateful for Hao Jian's decision not to pursue the matter further, Xiong Wei's eyes gleamed with relief as he nodded repeatedly.
"Alright, there's nothing more for you here. I have other matters to attend to, so I won't linger. I'll trust you to handle the rest. But if I return to my woman's school and hear any more negative talk about you people, don't expect mercy from me."
Once Xiong Wei nodded, Hao Jian waved his hand, dismissing him. Then, turning to Zhou Yu, he smiled lightly and said, "Teacher Zhou, this matter is settled. Sorry you had to suffer some pain because of these people. I've arranged for them to compensate you. If you have any dissatisfaction, let me know—or you can find Ye Linglan, and she'll contact me."
"No, no, it's fine!" Zhou Yu, still dazed from the whirlwind resolution, quickly waved his hands in response to Hao Jian's words. "Just getting some justice is more than enough—there's no need for compensation…"
"Haha! It's fine! If it's free, you might as well take it, right? Just accept it!" Hao Jian chuckled, shaking his head. Then, he turned and started walking toward Ye Linglan, waving dismissively. "Alright, everyone can go now. Do your jobs properly..."
"Yes, sir!"
Xiong Wei saluted Hao Jian and hurriedly got into his car. He left one subordinate on-site to manage things, while he went to handle the matter with Jiang Bin first, planning to return later to wrap up here. Though Hao Jian had said to deal with it however he liked, Xiong Wei dared not truly take that lightly.
Whatever the case, this matter had to be thoroughly resolved. Hao Jian had emphasized multiple times that this was his woman's school!
Xiong Wei believed that if word of this reached his superior, Lin Nantian, the man would probably rush over without hesitation. Among the upper echelons of Hua City, there wasn't anyone unaware of how much Hao Jian valued the people closest to him.
With a simple directive from Hao Jian, this school might go on to achieve notoriety—or perhaps even infamy, should things take a darker turn that required intervention.
"Haha, finally resolved!"
As Hao Jian walked toward Ye Linglan, a few students stood in his path. Upon seeing him approach, they scrambled out of the way, parting to form a clear path. At the end of the path stood a strikingly beautiful woman, poised and elegant.
"You made quite the spectacle at our school today!"
Ye Linglan playfully extended her hand, gently pounding Hao Jian's chest, her tone slightly proud. "Did you see how my classmates were looking at you? They practically wanted to eat you alive. Be honest—were you tempted?"
"Heh, having you is more than enough. Those other women don't interest me at all!"
With that, Hao Jian ignored the onlookers and confidently took Ye Linglan's hand, leading her toward the Lamborghini Aventador. The women around them, seeing him hold Ye Linglan's hand, instantly wore expressions of jealousy and fury, as if they wanted to kick Ye Linglan aside and take her place.
"It's all your fault! I'm probably going to become public enemy number one at school now..."
Once in the car, Ye Linglan pouted in mock annoyance, but the crescent shape of her smiling eyes betrayed her happy mood.
"Haha! Isn't that great? Now everyone knows you're mine. No one else dares to fight me for you anymore!"
Hao Jian laughed heartily and reached out to ruffle Ye Linglan's hair. He focused back on the road ahead and continued, "We've already delayed quite a bit of time with this incident. Chunliang is probably getting impatient. Let's get moving—if he complains, I'll push the blame onto you, haha!"
"He wouldn't dare!"
At Hao Jian's words, Ye Linglan let out a soft snort. "If that kid dares to say one word of complaint, I'll kick him out immediately!"
"Heh!"
Hearing her response, Hao Jian let out a mischievous chuckle. He slammed on the accelerator, the car roaring to life as it sped down the empty streets. Though less agile than the Enzo, the Aventador still offered exhilarating speed, putting Hao Jian slightly out of his comfort zone.
Feeling the sudden surge in speed and the rush of wind through the car, Ye Linglan squealed in excitement, prompting another hearty laugh from Hao Jian.
Wanda Plaza, a landmark of Hua City, was bustling with activity as usual. The plaza drew a mix of middle-class professionals and small business owners, many of whom frequented its upscale stores. Items here came at a premium but promised quality and safety.
Most tenants in the plaza were renowned international brands, offering everything from luxury fashion to dining and entertainment. It was a place designed to ensnare its patrons, provided, of course, that they had money to spare.
Those less inclined to spend frivolously often settled for a Starbucks coffee near the entrance, sipping slowly as they watched people pass by, reading or simply enjoying the atmosphere.
But today, Hao Jian and Ye Linglan weren't here for coffee. They had come to shop, particularly to visit a highly anticipated store: the dedicated Apple Store. Known for drawing lengthy lines during product launches, its patrons often braved harsh weather just to get their hands on the latest releases as soon as the doors opened at midnight.
"We're here."
Hao Jian smiled faintly as they arrived at the bustling plaza. Following the security guard's directions, he parked the car in the underground lot, got out, and took Ye Linglan's hand as they headed for the exit.
"Honk, honk!"
Just as Hao Jian and Ye Linglan were about to leave the parking lot, a BMW 3 Series suddenly appeared. Reflexively, they tried to step aside, but before they could, the driver aggressively leaned on the horn, blaring directly at them...
