Chapter 1428 - Chapter 1428 Chapter 1290 The Unique Undead Leader

Chapter 1428: Chapter 1290: The Unique Undead Leader! Chapter 1428: Chapter 1290: The Unique Undead Leader! “`

General Hostile Corpse possessed a towering frame, his gray-black skin festering with necrotic wounds that oozed poisonous pus.

The miasma of decay grew denser, transforming the entire gravel beach into a haze of toxic air, through which one could vaguely discern shapes flinging aside the gravel as countless desiccated claws reached out from beneath the surface!

Scattered across the gravelly ground lay many remnants.

These remnants began to squirm under the shroud of miasma, emitting ghastly creaking sounds as their joints twisted.

As the wind of corpses blew, body after body rose from the beach, their heads shaking vaguely as they surveyed their surroundings.

Pairs of hollow eyes looked nauseating, and once they caught the scent of living flesh, their eyes immediately glowed with a putrid green light!

An aura of malevolence shone through as, in an instant, four to five thousand corpses clawed their way to the surface of the gravel beach!

These bodies exuded a sickening stench that made one’s skin crawl, but most unsettling were those greedy, ravenous eyes.

“Do you know why I lured you here?” Pirate Leader Zhuo Qing sneered with sinister delight!

This patch of gravel beach was their pirate execution ground, abundant in discarded corpses–a majority of which were victims of General Hostile Corpse!

The beings killed by General Hostile Corpse would slowly turn into zombies–now of quasi-Emperor level, numbering four to five thousand. Each corpse needed to take only one bite to gnaw Chu Mu’s Dream Beast down to the bone!

“Don’t let it escape!” Pirate Leader Zhuo Qing issued the command!

With the most imposing form, General Hostile Corpse let out a proud shriek, and in an instant, over four thousand wounded closed in, completely surrounding Chu Mu, with a wave of rotten breath washing over him!

The multitude of bodies was overwhelming to behold, especially so densely packed, it was enough to make one’s scalp tingle.

Pang Yue had always despised Corpse Clan Creatures the most, and the sight of those revolting things turned her face pale.

“Chu Mu… Chu Mu is surrounded; we have to help him,” Pang Yue urged, panicking.

With so many zombies there, Pang Yue would never dare approach on her own, and even the New Moon Sailors would likely struggle to reach him!

After Pang Yue cried out for help, she realized no one responded; anxiously, she used her Mental Sound to speak to Morning Crown Prince, “Chu Mu is in trouble, you need to take some men and help him now!”

Chao Lengchuan glanced at Chu Mu, now swarmed by a massive horde of zombies, nodded, and was about to aid Chu Mu when Sang Ying stopped him.

“Where are you going, Chao Lengchuan? There’s a group of Dominator-level pirates over there that won’t be easy to deal with,” Sang Ying said.

“I’m going to help Chu Mu,” Chao Lengchuan replied.

“Have you lost your mind?” Sang Ying asked disparagingly.

Chao Lengchuan froze, and upon being scorned by Sang Ying, he suddenly snapped back to reality.

Chu Mu’s Night Thunder Dream Beast was the leader of those tens of thousands of Frenzied Corpse Army in Demon Tomb; the few undead summoned by Pirate Leader Zhuo Qing were less than one percent of that force!

Chao Lengchuan could still vividly recall the scene when Huangquan stood alone before the vast Corpse Army and repelled the entire tide of the dead!

“I really did lose my mind,” Chao Lengchuan said with self-mockery, and then turning his head away, he ignored Chu Mu’s situation and continued the pursuit of the pirates.

Pang Yue witnessed Chao Lengchuan suddenly leaving, and with Sang Ying unwilling to assist Chu Mu, she grew increasingly frantic.

Chu Mu was isolated and would inevitably be overwhelmed by the zombie horde–especially with a Peak Master Level General Hostile Corpse among that mass of bodies!

Sensing the gravity of the situation, Pang Yue gritted her teeth and steered her own Soul Pet toward the gravel beach.

The horror of the zombies far exceeded Pang Yue’s expectations, particularly the sight of pus flowing from their decaying bodies…

As a Support Soul Pet Master, Pang Yue specialized in treating gruesome wounds, yet she harbored an uncontrollable fear of animated corpses for some reason.

One by one, rotting faces appeared before her, and Pang Yue, riding her Low-grade Master level One-horned War Deer, charged into that dreadful army of corpses.

Suddenly, the corpses turned into heaps of rotten flesh, surging towards Pang Yue like a river.

After one look, Pang Yue felt her stomach lurch violently–this was undoubtedly the most disgusting sight she had ever seen!

A great swath of bodies lay submerged in a river of pus and blood, growing in number, and amidst her horror, Pang Yue cast a water-cleansing skill on herself to dissipate the overpowering stench.

After maneuvering through the corpses, Pang Yue silently vowed that if she did not find Chu Mu soon, she would have to leave this revolting place, where bodies turned into mush and pus–nauseating to the point of goosebumps all over her body!

Finally, after plowing through for a distance, Pang Yue found a clean area where Chu Mu stood in the center, seemingly doing nothing.

Not a single zombie lay within a hundred meters of Chu Mu; for some reason, they would completely disintegrate into mince upon nearing Chu Mu’s vicinity!

Pang Yue, with her eyes shut, rushed to Chu Mu’s side!

She had intended to assist the stranded Chu Mu, but upon arriving beside him, she felt herself barely able to stand upright.

Seeing Pang Yue rush in, Chu Mu could only offer a bitter smile in return.

“`

This young lady, should I say she’s brave or a bit comical? Since she can’t even stand steady, why rush in here?

“Are… Are you okay?” Pang Yue asked subconsciously.

“That’s what I should be asking you. What are you doing rushing in here?” Chu Mu said.

“It was to help you!” Pang Yue glared at Chu Mu. She had summoned so much courage to come over, yet this guy acted like she was superfluous.

“Oh, didn’t Chao Lengchuan tell you that my Soul Pet isn’t afraid of undead?” Chu Mu said.

Pang Yue shook her head and her gaze swept over the densely packed zombies around them.

Though the scene was still bloody, Pang Yue suddenly noticed for some reason all the zombies under the General Hostile Corpse were rapidly decaying, dying at an incredibly fast pace!

Pang Yue looked around and vaguely saw a white tail swiftly sweeping through the zombie army, leaving none standing in its path; they all turned into heaps of rotten flesh and fell!

Yet the massive General Hostile Corpse couldn’t catch a glimpse of that swift figure, each skill it dropped landed on its own zombie minions.

“That… That’s your Night Thunder Dream Beast?” Pang Yue covered her mouth in astonishment.

Chu Mu nodded. Indeed, Pang Yue’s arrival here seemed somewhat redundant. Not to mention four or five thousand Frenzied Corpses, even if the number were ten times more, Ye would dare to continue the fight!

The Demon Spirit’s group annihilation ability was ultimately limited; to destroy zombies one by one was indeed a bit slow.

After exterminating over a thousand undead, Ye suddenly appeared before Chu Mu, and its black pupils instantly flashed with a sinister gleam!

From its muzzle to its neck, demon patterns started to emit a ferocious light. These corpse patterns on Ye were a sign of its transformation into an undead creature, yet after resurrection, Ye still maintained some powers capable of deterring undead creatures!

Black pupils flickering, blood demon patterns glowing; all these powers congregated at Ye’s Dream Horn, diffusing in the form of dream waves!

The entire Gravel Beach was already enshrouded in miasma, resembling a foggy dreamland.

After the waves emanated from Ye’s Dream Horn, the surroundings suddenly fell utterly silent!

Not a sound was heard, the entire World was eerily quiet, including those greedy, revolting zombies, which no longer emitted their unpleasing cries.

“What… What’s going on?” Pang Yue broke out in a cold sweat at this eerie scene, unaware of why it had suddenly become so silent.

Chu Mu was standing by her side. Apart from him, all beings and undead around them were now gradually falling into the Dream Trap set by Ye. This trap, always established against a backdrop of reality, made it impossible for creatures to discern truth from illusion.

“It’s Ye’s dreamland,” Chu Mu explained.

The extent of Ye’s dreamland, no one knew how vast it was, or whether they had already entered it.

This state didn’t last very long, yet to Pang Yue, it felt like an eternity had passed.

Finally, the strange dream fog dissipated, and the sounds around them slowly filtered back into their ears.

The view cleared, and the terrifying horde of zombies was still there.

“Attack!!! Attack that Soul Pet Master!!! Kill him!!!!!” Zhuo Qing’s angry roar echoed.

Pang Yue looked up and saw Zhuo Qing standing on the shoulder of General Hostile Corpse.

At this moment, Zhuo Qing was furiously commanding the zombies to attack Chu Mu because, for some unknown reason, just seconds ago, three thousand zombies had all stopped moving!

“Errghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!”

General Hostile Corpse once again let out an unpleasant howl, issuing an attack command to the surrounding zombies.

However, the more than three thousand dull-eyed zombies still stood motionless, showing no intention to act.

“Attack, you damned corpses!!” Pirate Leader Zhuo Qing continued to bellow.

Like Zhuo Qing, General Hostile Corpse was roaring, but all the undead seemed to have lost control and no longer obeyed his orders!

“Huuuuuuuuuuuuuu!”

Just then, Ye suddenly raised its proud skull and let out a cry towards all the undead!

The cry was like an emperor’s command, and in an instant, over three thousand zombies released terrifying howls, their green eyes all locked onto Zhuo Qing’s General Hostile Corpse!

In the next moment, like a tidal wave, the zombies surrounded the General Hostile Corpse and furiously began to gnaw at his body!

“Chu Mu… your… How can your Dream Beast control the undead?” Pang Yue, with a face full of wonder, watched Ye commanding the undead.

In the realm of the undead, General Hostile Corpse’s position was at most comparable to a general of four or five thousand undead. Yet, Ye once rose to the leader of tens of thousands of Frenzied Corpses in the Demon Tomb. In terms of status among the undead, Ye was far superior to General Hostile Corpse!

And its glory was now embodied in the blood patterns carved into its face and neck!
