Chapter 1241 - Chapter 1241 Chapter 1105 The Mysterious Glacier Man
Chapter 1241: Chapter 1105: The Mysterious Glacier Man Chapter 1241: Chapter 1105: The Mysterious Glacier Man The Dominator Prisoner didn’t make any stop at Wanxiang City. After escaping the space of the Seal Tower, it dashed straight toward the northeast.
Mu Qingyi naturally wouldn’t let it escape and pursued it relentlessly with the Crowned Phoenix King.
For some reason, Mu Qingyi always had a vague feeling of familiarity with the creature fleeing more than a hundred kilometers ahead, as if she had sensed its presence while patrolling the Seal Tower in the past.
The speed of the Dominator Prisoner was no slower than that of the Crowned Phoenix King. Unnoticed, it had already flown out of Wanxiang City’s Territory, heading even further to the northeast.
Mu Qingyi was equally persistent and resolute not to give up until she caught the creature. Obviously, the opponent was also very fast, which continued to prolong the chase.
…
“Why does it feel like this guy has a specific destination in mind?” Mu Qingyi wondered, watching the Dominator Prisoner that showed no sign of slowing down.
Such a prolonged flight was also hugely exhausting for the Soul Pets, making Mu Qingyi curious why a Dominator-level creature from the Seal Tower, sealed for so long and having lost its purpose, would escape with such clear and deliberate direction, seemingly aimless otherwise.
Mu Qingyi’s perseverance was indeed extraordinary–she kept up the chase for a full ten days without any intention of stopping.
By this point, the Crowned Phoenix King had entered the Glacial World in the northeast of the Wanxiang Realm and was swiftly closing in on the Heavenly Mountains.
There was still a vast distance between the Glacial World and the Heavenly Mountains, a distance that the Crowned Phoenix King would need to fly for a month. As the chase prolonged, Mu Qingyi’s suspicion only grew stronger. She couldn’t understand why the Dominator Prisoner would flee to this Glacial World, where there seemed to be no creatures, resources, or Spirit Step.
“Its speed has slowed.” At last, Mu Qingyi noted a decrease in the Dominator Prisoner’s pace. Without food and energy replenishment, the extensive depletion of stamina meant it could no longer maintain its rapid flight.
Mu Qingyi didn’t hesitate and spurred the Crowned Phoenix King to speed up and intercept the Dominator Prisoner that had escaped from the Seal Tower.
“Yeeaaaaaah!!”
The Crowned Phoenix King flapped its wings as golden flames sprang up in this snow-white world, melting the surrounding mountains and rivers in an instant!
The blazing flames formed a beautiful ring of fire, encircling the Dominator Prisoner within a ten-kilometer radius, trapping it within the inferno.
The ring of fire steadily shrank, creating a binding of Fire Series and Winged System that swirled around the Dominator Prisoner, no matter how it moved.
“You’d best not struggle, return obediently to the Seal Tower to serve your sentence!” Mu Qingyi declared.
Dominator-level creatures possessed high intelligence and could certainly understand human speech to some extent.
Only now did Mu Qingyi clearly see this Dominator-level creature’s appearance.
It was an Abnormal Species, resembling a sleek and elongated monster cat, yet with the dense and majestic mane of a fierce lion.
The creature’s tail was extraordinarily long, akin to a whip, with the tip resembling a scorpion’s stinger.
Mu Qingyi had seen such creatures before–an Abnormal-Maned Monster, its Species Ranking being that of a monarch, rarely seen within the Human Domain.
The Abnormal-Maned Monster was listed among the top ten mysterious creatures, as to date, no book had managed to document the abilities it possessed.
The skills of Abnormal Species are challenging to predict. Although the Species Ranking of the Abnormal-Maned Monster is not very high, it remains one of the most mysterious creatures.
“Mmmhhh~ Mmmhhhh~”
The Dominator Prisoner glanced at Mu Qingyi and the Crowned Phoenix King with its deep, murky eyes, showing no intention of surrender. Suddenly, it plummeted from the sky, diving straight into the highest point of a massive glacier.
The glacier was lofty and immense, and the scorching flames had already exposed the rocky mountain underneath the ice.
This mountain seemed to rise from the ground, and at its peak was a shocking fault that looked as if a giant mountain had been cleaved in half by a sword.
Seeing the Dominator Prisoner continuing to flee, Mu Qingyi also piloted the Crowned Phoenix King in pursuit, while releasing the effects of the flame ring binding!
The flame ring binding immediately tightened, limiting the Dominator Prisoner’s range of movement even more. Any attempt to move would inevitably result in being scorched by the fierce flames.
After reaching the summit of the mountain, the Dominator Prisoner ceased its movements and knelt down on bent knees. It lowered its skull and then made a sound akin to crying.
Mu Qingyi did not immediately chase after it, for to her astonishment, she noticed a man dressed in snow-white garments standing on the mountain’s summit!
Mu Qingyi’s sensory abilities were incredibly strong. She should have been able to detect anyone within a radius of ten kilometers by releasing her Soul Sense.
However, it was only when she was less than a kilometer away that she noticed the man in a snow-white robe, virtually blending into the colors of the glacier!
For those at the Dominator level, a kilometer was but a step away. The moment Mu Qingyi laid eyes on the man, her heart skipped a beat violently; it was as if someone had stood before her and she had utterly failed to notice!
Hovering in the air, Mu Qingyi quietly observed the man.
There was no aura emanating from the man’s body; even when looking at him closely, she couldn’t sense his presence. It was as though the man was part of the glacier itself, standing there in silence for an eternity.
Finally, the man moved. He slowly knelt and reached out his hand, gently caressing the Abnormal-Maned Monster’s fur.
“Whimper~~ Whimper~~~~~~~~” The Abnormal-Maned Monster continuously emitted crying-like noises. From Mu Qingyi’s perspective, she could clearly see tears falling one by one, wetting its fur and the trembling back of the glacier man’s hand.
This scene moved Mu Qingyi’s heart, for it was so similar to an image she had once seen.
She remembered the time in Wanxiang Plain when faced with the return of War Beast Mo Ye, Chu Mu also knelt, stroking his soul pet with which he had been separated for many years.
Mu Qingyi did not know what story laid between that man and the Tiger, but at that moment, she understood the heart of a Soul Pet Master and the heart of a Soul Pet.
For some reason, when Mu Qingyi saw this unfamiliar and dangerous man stroking the Prisoner Dominator, she also felt this sense of understanding, as if the man and his beast also shared a story worthy of reverence…
Mu Qingyi watched quietly, and it took her a long time before she suddenly realized that the man’s gaze was fixed on her.
“Who are you?” the man asked with a formidable look in his eyes.
“Mu Clan’s Mu Qingyi. And you are?” Mu Qingyi replied.
“Are you in charge of the Seal Tower?” Instead of answering, the glacier man asked indifferently.
“Yes, your Soul Pet escaped from the Seal Tower on its own. As a guardian of the Seal Tower, it is my duty to take back all the soul pets that have not completed their sentences,” Mu Qingyi stated solemnly.
“Then you have fulfilled your duty; you can go back now,” the glacier man said.
As he spoke, a Black Battle Tiger suddenly strode out from behind the man!
This Black Battle Tiger took a step forward, and instantly a powerful force of darkness burst forth under its paw, effortlessly shattering the fiery ring that restrained Mu Qingyi’s Crowned Phoenix King!!
Without even using a skill, it crushed the Crowned Phoenix King’s ability, and the sheer strength of the Black Battle Tiger stunned Mu Qingyi!
This was indeed a War Beast Mo Ye. The strongest War Beast Mo Ye that Mu Qingyi had ever seen was Chu Mu’s Zhan Ye. Always, Mu Qingyi had believed that Chu Mu’s Zhan Ye must be the strongest in the human domain, yet she did not expect that the glacier man’s War Beast Mo Ye was so formidable!
At that moment, Mu Qingyi’s mind raced, unable to recall anyone who could possess such tremendous power!
“Just who are you?” Mu Qingyi asked coldly.
Mu Qingyi could feel that the man’s strength was greater than her own, yet such an entity had never appeared in the human domain. Whether he was good or evil, how could Mu Qingyi be at ease without understanding?
“It doesn’t matter who I am; soon someone else will come to take over this place. Go and tell those who need to be told,” the glacier man spoke.
“Take over?” Mu Qingyi’s face was full of confusion.
But before Mu Qingyi could clear up the situation, the man had already jumped onto the back of that powerful War Beast Mo Ye and turned to tread through the distant glacial snows of the Heavenly Mountains. The Abnormal-Maned Monster shrank into a half-lion, half-cat spiritual creature, lying on the shoulder of the glacier man, its long tail fluttering in the wind.
The speed of War Beast Mo Ye’s run was very fast; not even the Crowned Phoenix King could catch up, and all Mu Qingyi could do was to stand still and watch as the man riding the Black Battle Tiger with the creature who escaped from the Seal Tower went far away.
“Just who is this man and what does it mean for someone to come and take over this place?” Mu Qingyi wondered as she thought about the direction in which they had left.
Mu Qingyi believed that besides the Wanxiang Realm and The World Realm, there must be other human territories. However, how they existed in this world in terms of civilization or POSITION has been a mystery no one ever solved.
There were rumors that the Heavenly Mountains were the gateway to another vast territory. The glacier man rushed toward the Heavenly Mountains; whether he was about to leave the Wanxiang Realm for a new domain or was now returning to his own world remained uncertain.
Mu Qingyi had no way to find the answers to these questions and could only choose to return and to ask some of the more senior figures who might know.
