Chapter 1110 - Chapter 1110 Chapter 975 He Will Definitely Come Looking for
Chapter 1110: Chapter 975: He Will Definitely Come Looking for You Chapter 1110: Chapter 975: He Will Definitely Come Looking for You Ning Man’er hadn’t even started to cry when she suddenly saw yet another ghostly scythe appear in the night!
Her heart trembled as she cried out, “Stop!!!!”
Just as quickly as it had appeared, the ghostly scythe vanished again. At this moment, the silhouette of the man riding the ghost bird slowly emerged from the night.
He stood before nearly a thousand White Nightmare Demons, the entire White Nightmare Demon Legion seeming no more menacing than a particularly fierce flame in his eyes–no longer anything to be feared.
He didn’t spare the White Nightmare Demon Legion another glance, simply turning around with a sinister smile on his lips, “Are you willing to come back with us now?”
Ning Man’er nearly shattered her teeth clenching them in anger; the hatred in her heart made her wish to kill the man before her, yet the only thing she could do was swallow that hatred and nod her head with tears in her eyes.
“Good, that makes things much simpler,” the Boundary Commander said. “The journey will be somewhat long, and if Miss Ning is not cooperative, it will cause quite a bit of trouble for us.”
After saying this, the Boundary Commander took another look at the White Nightmare Demons and spoke with a tone of casual disdain, “Tell that guardian, if he wants to avenge these useless White Nightmare Demon underlings, he’s welcome to come find me on the other side of the Dark Sky Sea World. My name is Zheng Wu!”
Ye Qingzi watched the person who claimed to be Zheng Wu with a cold gaze, the anger in her heart already turning into flames burning within her eyes.
This man was not only ruthless, but also exceedingly arrogant. To use such methods to coerce Ning Man’er was simply unforgivable!
Yet, Ye Qingzi understood very well that this man was incredibly powerful, and if the battle continued, the thousand White Nightmare Demons might all meet their end.
As for the two hostages Ning Dong and Ning Changqing in her hand, from Zheng Wu’s gaze, Ye Qingzi could tell that this person had no regard for these two lives.
“Zheng Wu, I will remember this name!” Ye Qingzi said icily.
Zheng Wu only glanced indifferently at Ye Qingzi, as if the idea of being remembered as an enemy was of no concern to him, and he slowly flew to Ning Man’er’s side.
“Let them go,” Ye Qingzi knew that holding on to Ning Dong and Ning Changqing was meaningless, so she instructed the White Nightmare Demons to release the two men.
“Miss Ye, it’s best not to hold any grudges against Sir Boundary Commander. Perhaps you don’t yet understand what the name Zheng Wu signifies, but once you’re on the other side, you will realize how foolish it is to bear a grudge today,” Ning Changqing advised with a well-meaning tone.
Ye Qingzi gave the youth a cold glance and said curtly, “Get lost!”
Ning Changqing’s face flushed with embarrassment–he didn’t expect his kind warning to be thrown back in his face with such ingratitude.
Seeing so many White Nightmare Demons around her, Ning Changqing didn’t dare to show his anger and quickly fled the scene with Ning Dong, escaping the White Nightmare Demon Legion.
As she watched Ning Changqing and Ning Dong safely escape, the White Nightmare Emperor let out angered cries. The lives of over fifty White Nightmare Demons and the White Nightmare Emperor now “life and death unknown”–how could it swallow such an insult? It couldn’t beat the man controlling the ghost bird, but at the very least, the lives of Ning Changqing and Ning Dong must be taken!
“Let them leave; they are merely being given a few more years to live,” Ye Qingzi told the White Nightmare Emperor.
The lives of Ning Changqing and Ning Dong were of no value, yet someday, Chu Mu would march to the other side of the Dark Sky Sea World, stepping over the corpses of these men to bring Ning Man’er back. Then those proud and disdainful men would realize that their brutality today was in essence digging their own graves!
“Sister Ye…” Tears covered Ning Man’er’s cheeks; her anger toward Boundary Commander Zheng Wu, her guilt over the fallen White Nightmare Demons, and her reluctance to part from Ye Qingzi and Chu Mu left her at a loss for words and struggling to speak amongst her sobs.
Ye Qingzi knew there was no turning back, looking at the always affectionate little girl with an aching heart. “Take care of yourself,” she said softly.
“Yes, yes, yes,” Ning Man’er nodded vigorously.
Boundary Commander Zheng Wu was indifferent to all this, speaking up, “Let’s go, I don’t want to waste too much time here.”
Turning her head to look at Ye Qingzi, Ning Man’er didn’t speak again; their eyes filled with shining tears.
Watching the pitiable figure of Ning Man’er being taken away, Ye Qingzi felt a sourness in her breath. She sent a message to Ning Man’er through Mental Sound, “Don’t worry, no matter how powerful the person on the other side of the sea is, no matter how many insurmountable obstacles there are, he will come find you!”
Ning Man’er nodded desperately and kept wiping her tears with the back of her hand. She buried a firm belief in her heart and said to Ye Qingzi, “Then I… I’m leaving. Tell Brother that I… I will learn to be independent… I definitely will!”
…
The gradually fading delicate figure made Ye Qingzi’s breath feel heavy with sorrow. She glanced at the dying White Nightmare Emperor who was determined to retrieve Ning Man’er. There were also the other nine White Nightmare Demons–
They were simply a group of wild Soul Pets that came from the Southern Forbidden Region, but their loyalty and emotions were no less than those creatures that had signed soul contracts with humans…
Even the White Nightmare Demons were so heartbroken; Ye Qingzi couldn’t help wondering how Chu Mu would feel upon his return, finding that this wild girl had already been taken away.
“Let’s go,” Ye Qingzi sighed and spoke to the White Nightmare Demons.
The Nightmare Demon Ruler also knew that its power was too weak to protect the young lady’s safety, so all it could do was command its subordinates to collect the corpses of White Nightmare Demons beyond rescue and follow Ye Qingzi back to Wanxiang City.
On the way back, Ye Qingzi encountered Liu Binglan, who had injured Master Yun and immediately rushed here. However, what she saw was a disheartened Ye Qingzi and a group of White Nightmare Demons immersed in pain. Without asking, Liu Binglan already knew what had happened.
After listening to Ye Qingzi’s rough description, Liu Binglan’s brow was also deeply furrowed.
For the sake of a little girl, they had dispatched a Master Yun whose strength was not inferior to that of Xiong Mo Moling, as well as an unfathomable Dominator-level powerhouse. What exactly did Ning Man’er mean to the other side of the Dark Sky Sea World?
…
…
Far away at the northern end of the Forbidden Domain, Chu Mu and his party were gradually nearing the Demonic Realm.
The Demonic Realm is a special independent space. If Mu Qingyi hadn’t inherited some ancient records from her ancestral generation, she would never have been able to find this Demonic Realm!
The reason this space is called the Demonic Realm is mainly that its guardian is the supreme demon, the Fox Lei Jun, who absolves sins!
But in fact, the fairy realm is not the land of Demon Spirits. The true land of Demon Spirits should be located within the Demon Tomb in the Western Heng Sea, in the most western part of the human plate.
When Chu Mu learned of the existence of the Fox Lei Jun, the Absolver, from Mu Qingyi, he was eager to meet it, as Mo Ye was also a Seven Sins Fox. Chu Mu wanted to know what power this absolver fox truly possessed!
However, after careful consideration, Chu Mu thought it would be better to meet this Fox Lei Jun, the Absolver, another time when the opportunity arose.
There are two entrances to the Demonic Realm. The first is the space channel of the space itself, equivalent to a gate of the Holy Land, which they should normally enter through.
The second entrance is actually a gap in this space that leads to an ancient Array Valley within the Demonic Realm.
“There must be something sealed or hidden in this Array Valley. To prevent some powerful creatures from destroying the valley, the appearance of Dominator-level creatures in the valley would trigger a prohibition, awakening those slumbering creatures. The documents roughly estimate that there are about 30,000 slumbering creatures in the valley, all of high levels. Once they wake up, none of us would stand a chance to leave alive,” Mu Qingyi warned everyone.
With 30,000 slumbering creatures, although their exact levels could not be determined yet, the creatures surviving in this independent space must be no easy foes. Once awakened, even Dominator-level beings would be torn apart by this multitude of slumbering creatures within the valley.
“So, as long as we don’t summon Dominator-level creatures, we can pass through safely?” Shen Mo asked.
Mu Qingyi shook her head, “There are also some creatures wandering in the Array Valley; they are not easy to deal with either.”
“Then where in the Demonic Realm is the Phoenix Clan monument that we are trying to reach?” asked Chu Mu.
“After the Array Valley, you climb a volcano,” replied Mu Qingyi.
“That simple?” Chu Mu was somewhat surprised.
Mu Qingyi rolled her eyes at Chu Mu and said, “You’ll know when you get inside.”
The spatial gap had some resistance, and when they reached the interface that led to the Array Valley from the gap, an enigmatic barrier appeared. They wouldn’t be able to enter the valley unless the barrier was broken.
“I’m good at breaking seals. Let me see what type of seal it is,” Teng Lang ran up front, planning to locate the weakest point of the barrier and shatter it directly.
Stroking his chin, Teng Lang began to ponder:
“Yeah, the barrier is purple-red, so it should be a Thunder System barrier. The pattern of the barrier is mesh-like; it should be a diamond-shaped sealing array. However, each diamond pattern has a blue arc spell within — that’s blue, indicating a Water System spell… Breaking this barrier seems a bit difficult. Give me more time to think… Hey, what are you guys doing?”
“Going inside,” Shen Mo scornfully glanced at Teng Lang, bent down, and then slipped through the crack in the barrier.
“Where did this crack come from?” Teng Lang was stunned.
That’s not right; the crack wasn’t there when he was just looking at it. How did it suddenly appear while he hadn’t even finished analyzing?
“Mo Ye, tear this sealing barrier a bit wider.”
While Teng Lang was still baffled, he heard Chu Mu say this. Teng Lang glanced at Mo Ye and the next moment his eyes widened in shock!
The dainty and adorable little fox casually waved its tender little paws, and that damn barrier was torn right open!
This was a sealing barrier; how could this little thing tear it apart so easily, as if ripping through a piece of cloth!
