Ji Xinghuo did not interfere, simply watching with cold eyes.

In his view, if Zhao Cangming truly wanted to embark on the path of evolution, he would have to undergo this ordeal sooner or later. If this tribulation could transform his temperament and break him out of the greenhouse of his sister’s protection, it would be a blessing rather than a curse.

"Brother-in-law..."

Zhao Cangming looked at the Legendary Hunter on the ground and gritted his teeth. The man had commanded the agony he endured during the kidnapping over several hours, even severing his fingers.

The pain from his severed fingers made Zhao Cangming grimace, as he walked towards the grounded Legendary Hunter, blade in hand.

"Cut him twice but don’t kill him," Ji Xinghuo instructed.

"Don’t worry, brother-in-law."

Zhao Cangming raised his blade.

The Legendary Hunter screamed as his remaining right-hand fingers were cut off, and he cried out in madness, "You better hope you don’t fall into my hands again!"

"Shut up."

Zhao Cangming reversed his blade and violently smacked it against the other’s face, knocking out several teeth.

The Legendary Hunter glared at Zhao Cangming, cursing with disdain, "You’re nothing but someone who survives because of your powerful sister! You think you’re something? You’re trash who couldn’t even become a Super Mutant in this lifetime!"

"So what? It’s not me who’s lying on the ground now," Zhao Cangming replied, not angered, nor did he continue to torment.

"Trash..."

Boom!

A bolt of lightning stunned the Legendary Hunter, and Ji Xinghuo said, "We should head back."

He noticed that although Zhao Cangming seemed calm on the surface, the insult ’trash’ had actually stung him; allowing the insults to continue might drive Zhao Cangming into a rage and murder.

"Alright, brother-in-law," Zhao Cangming casually tossed away his knife.

Then he looked around the forest. The Dragon Hawk was already dead, and those Silver Winged Pegasuses had flown off without a trace. He asked, "How are we going to get back?"

Ji Xinghuo also looked around.

After their last teleportation, the Void Spirit Guest appeared no more, but he knew that the Void Spirit Guest must be observing from the shadows. If the entity could help them once more by sending them back to Olympia, that would be ideal.

However, Ji Xinghuo waited for half a minute and there was no movement.

It seemed the Void Spirit Guest was reluctant to intervene again.

"He’s probably cautious because of the presence of others, not convenient," Ji Xinghuo guessed in his mind, but he didn’t voice his thoughts, in case the Void Spirit Guest had already left.

"Cangming, wait for me a few minutes." Ji Xinghuo flew up into the sky, not too far away. With Wanxiang Star Pupil, he located three Silver Winged Pegasuses and quickly caught up with them and brought them back under his control.

Ji Xinghuo inquired, "You can ride, right?"

Zhao Cangming hesitated and replied, "I’ve only ridden on ground horses; I’ve never ridden one that could fly."

"It’s pretty much the same, and as an Intermediate Mutant, you can control a Silver Winged Pegasus without a problem," Ji Xinghuo briefly taught him some techniques.

A moment later.

The two men each took off riding their Silver Winged Pegasuses, while the third horse carried the severely injured Legendary Hunter, and headed south back to Olympia on the original route.

Zhao Cangming quickly mastered horseback riding and looked excited.

Previously, he had been kidnapped, unable to move or even be in the mood to experience his initial entry into the Star Realm; now freed, he curiously observed his surroundings, finding everything in the Star Realm fascinating.

Although much of the knowledge had already been learnt on Earth, seeing it in person felt completely different.

"Brother-in-law, what is that?"

"Brother-in-law, could there be many monsters in that crack below? Thousand Peak Abyss Forest truly lives up to its reputation; it’s as deep as an abyss."

"Wow! That’s a huge Ironback Bear!"

Zhao Cangming gradually recovered his playful nature, asking directly whenever he didn’t understand something.

Ji Xinghuo answered each question.

"Ahead is the Winged People’s Floating City; we should go around." Ji Xinghuo looked ahead and saw a city atop one of the Floating Mountains about several tens of kilometers away. The city wasn’t large, but it housed a population of several tens of thousands of Winged People, not to be disturbed.

As they detoured, Ji Xinghuo reminded, "In Thousand Peak Abyss Forest, the Winged People are the ones we must avoid most; we should stay away as much as possible."

"I’ll remember that," Zhao Cangming nodded repeatedly.

The Silver Winged Pegasus was fast.

The Winged People’s Floating City receded behind them, and just as Zhao Cangming let out a sigh of relief, he suddenly heard Ji Xinghuo announce, "There’s a monster attack incoming."

He saw that it was a large flock of black birds, each with a wingspan of over three meters, resembling owls with human-like faces and claws at the tips of their wings like human hands.

"Human-faced Owls!"

Zhao Cangming recognized the creatures and exclaimed in shock, "So many! Brother-in-law, should we avoid them?"
