Supreme Electromagnetic Tyrant -
Chapter 206 - 158: Mind Hacker
Chapter 206: Chapter 158: Mind Hacker
The door was opened.
Ailuo Lin stood behind the door, her smooth skin glistening, not minding at all that her fiery body was seen by Ji Xinghuo. She frowned and asked, "Who are you?"
Ji Xinghuo did not answer but simply looked her up and down.
Ailuo Lin stood at about one meter sixty-five, with fair and sleek skin, proud curves, and a beautiful face that was both seductively wild and innocently pure, blending two contradictory temperaments into a unique charm. She leaned casually against the door frame, allowing herself to be observed. With her arms crossed over her chest, every movement she made was laden with strong sexual implications.
Two circuit-like lines ran across her cheeks, extending from the corners of her eyes to the back of her neck, adding a post-modern aesthetic.
Ailuo Lin’s body appeared no different from that of an ordinary person.
But under magnetic field sensing, there was a strong electric current reaction inside her body. Her mechanical prosthetics were all high-end, not only powerful in function but also well-disguised on the surface.
Electronic Demon...
Ji Xinghuo suddenly thought of a term that had been circulating on the net for over two centuries.
"I heard you’re a well-known middleman in Saint Feibo District. I’ve come to seek information," Ji Xinghuo revealed his purpose.
A middleman is both a task intermediary and an information broker.
"Oh?" Ailuo Lin raised an eyebrow, "So there’s business coming to my door."
She walked out of the room and sat on a sofa in the living room, crossing her legs. She picked up a cigarette from the coffee table, put it in her mouth, and lightly lit it.
"Huh..."
Blowing out a puff of white smoke, Ailuo Lin leaned back on the sofa and revealed a look of contentment before she finally said, "Speak then, what is it you want to inquire about?"
Ji Xinghuo pressed his smart glasses, projecting a photo of Shen Yucheng.
"Where is this man?"
Ailuo Lin’s expression stalled, then she answered, "He is my client, I cannot tell you any information regarding him. Moreover, I don’t know his whereabouts."
Ji Xinghuo asked indifferently, "Why can’t you tell me?"
"There is no why." Ailuo Lin narrowed her eyes, "You’re new to Immortal City, right? Young man, the rules here are different from other places in the world. Since you’ve come, you should abide by our rules. If a middleman betrays their client, my reputation would be ruined. How could I continue to work in this line?"
"That’s for you to consider," Ji Xinghuo was unmoved, "I want this man’s information. Name your price."
Ailuo Lin stared at Ji Xinghuo for a few seconds, then suddenly asked, "This isn’t your real appearance, is it?"
Ji Xinghuo remained silent.
She stood up, walked around Ji Xinghuo, sniffing his scent, "No need to see your real face, I can smell that you must be a handsome man. You have a great physique, obviously you exercise regularly, and even though you carry the scent of other women on you, the contact isn’t deep. Are you a virgin?"
Ji Xinghuo still did not answer.
"Hehehe..." Ailuo Lin laughed softly, her face full of smiles, "Young man, have you ever experienced the taste of a woman?"
She stood in front of Ji Xinghuo, placed her hand on his chest, and drew close, whispering in his ear with her breath as sweet as orchids, "If you keep me company for one night, I will tell you about that man’s information. How about that? I assure you, it will be a delightful experience you will never forget."
A slowly spreading sensual atmosphere filled the room.
Ailuo Lin’s voice carried a subtle yet intense power of the mind, which could make even a man with usual resolution fall at her feet, let alone touch her, simply by hearing her voice.
Even a firm-willed Mutant would find her hard to refuse, let alone take action against her.
Because she was a Mind Hacker.
This profession excels at manipulating the heart and controlling the spirit of people.
The core ability of a Mind Hacker is "Mind Sensing," which allows them to sense the emotional changes of others. They think incredibly fast and possess great insight. Combined with the abilities "Empathy," "Mind Interference," "Illusion," and "Hypnosis," they can control their targets invisibly, winning without a fight.
The human mind holds infinite potential, complex yet straightforward. Compared to other Mutants, Mind Hackers can sometimes be the most formidable opponents.
Ailuo Lin’s face showed a smile.
"You’re too dirty," Ji Xinghuo finally spoke, his voice devoid of any emotion, "Please remove your hand, or I won’t be able to stop myself from cutting it off."
Just thinking about what her hand had touched made him feel disgusted.
"You’re looking for death!"
Ailuo Lin’s face went stiff, followed by a burst of rage. Her arm split open and a sharp knife sprung out from the modified bone, stabbing into Ji Xinghuo’s chest.
At the same time, her eyes locked onto Ji Xinghuo’s head, releasing a mental scream.
Clang!
A metallic resonance.
Ailuo Lin realized her knife had hit an iron plate as she noticed Ji Xinghuo’s skin covered with azure-gold hard scales. Her mental scream had no effect at all. Ji Xinghuo, expressionless, showed her a cold smile.
Boom...
Ji Xinghuo’s punch landed on Ailuo Lin’s chest, releasing a burst of Cannon Force.
She was sent flying, crashing heavily into the wall. Her body was paralyzed by the current, and there was a charred indentation on her chest, both painful and numb.
Dozens of naked men burst out from the adjacent room, wielding various weapons and firearms.
Ji Xinghuo stood still, just looking at them.
Electromagnetic Pulse!
Instantly, these men fell into convulsions, sparks and black smoke rising from their bodies, collapsing like piles of rotten flesh on the ground, utterly powerless to resist.
Ailuo Lin’s eyes were filled with terror.
The scene before her was simply too horrifying. Her mechanical prosthetics featured an electromagnetic protection system, but the current from Ji Xinghuo’s punch was too strong. It burst in an instant, destroying most of the functions of her prosthetics and significantly reducing her combat effectiveness.
Mind Hackers were originally ill-suited for direct combat, and Ailuo Lin usually compensated for this with her mechanical prosthetics.
But now they were completely ineffective.
Her mental abilities were useless, and her mechanical prosthetics couldn’t withstand a single blow.
"Overestimating your own abilities," he said.
Ji Xinghuo walked up to Ailuo Lin, he had long been prepared for her tactics.
Long ago, he discovered he could exempt himself from most psychic and mental attacks. The Wanxiang Star Pupil was like the strongest mental shield, protecting his will.
He was not only the bane of machines and electronics but also the bane of Mind Hackers!
Ailuo Lin was actually very powerful, a Super Mind Hacker with top-tier mechanical prosthetics. The combination made her first-rate among Super Mutants, and her Mind Hacker abilities gave her even more capabilities outside of combat. Thus, she had a grand reputation in Immortal City, known as "Black Dream."
Unfortunately, she was truly too weak before him.
"Tell me everything you want to know," said Ailuo Lin, surrendering even before Ji Xinghuo had spoken.
Ji Xinghuo said sarcastically, "Isn’t that breaking the rules of a middleman?"
"The wise adapt themselves to the times." Suddenly, Ailuo Lin uttered a proverb from the Asian Commonwealth, adding, "In Immortal City, there is only one rule—the strong reign supreme."
As one of the two great hegemons on Earth, many from different countries studied the language of the Asian Commonwealth, especially Mutants and the upper class.
For a Mind Hacker, with a brain that functioned far better than the average person’s, mastering a language was not difficult.
"Indeed," Ji Xinghuo nodded, "you’re smarter than Gonsaz."
Hearing the name Gonsaz, fear flashed across Ailuo Lin’s face. Clearly, Ji Xinghuo had found her through Gonsaz, and Gonsaz’s fate was obvious.
"Cooperate well with me, and I won’t kill you," Ji Xinghuo stated.
"Yes,"
Ailuo Lin, amidst the pain in her chest, answered, "The person used the alias ’John’ to hire me to introduce him to several channels that could lead to the upper echelons of the Giant Consortium. The price offered was high, so I recommended a few people to him, including Gonsaz, and the task was completed."
Ji Xinghuo had already known this. "Did he reveal his purpose?"
"No," Ailuo Lin shook her head.
After hesitating, she continued, "As a Mind Hacker, judging by his expressions and emotional changes, I speculated that he was very eager to meet the higher-ups of the Giant Consortium. I have seen a few similar cases: usually, they possess precious treasures or important information but, for certain reasons, they cannot sell to just anyone. They must ensure meeting with the high-level members of the Giant Consortium to feel secure."
Ji Xinghuo watched Ailuo Lin quietly, knowing she had more to say.
Sure enough, Ailuo Lin had a hint of triumph in her eyes as she continued, "At the time, I paid extra attention and did something to him."
"Heh."
Ji Xinghuo let out a cold laugh, suspecting that her so-called "extra attention" was probably preparation for a double-cross.
"Where is he?"
"Right here in Saint Feibo District, not far from my place," Ailuo Lin gave an address, less than ten kilometers away.
After speaking, she anxiously watched Ji Xinghuo.
Without another glance at her, Ji Xinghuo stepped over the man on the floor and left the room.
Only after hearing the sound of Ji Xinghuo entering the elevator and it descending did Ailuo Lin breathe a sigh of relief, struggling to get up and cursing at the men lying on the ground, "A bunch of useless trash!"
She then gritted her teeth.
Hurriedly she dressed and left her home without looking back, wanting only to avoid any danger that might follow.
Ji Xinghuo, having moved hundreds of meters away, sensed that Ailuo Lin had fled but paid her no heed.
A moment later.
He arrived at the address given by Ailuo Lin. It was another skyscraper, only taller and larger, with a hundred floors housing twenty to thirty thousand people. The building’s interior was complex, filled with numerous hidden rooms and secret passages, like a giant ant’s nest.
The living conditions here couldn’t compare to Ailuo Lin’s residence. The numerous entry gates lacked guards, and anyone could come and go as they pleased.
Ji Xinghuo entered the building with ease, squashing into an elevator with many others, and reached the 39th floor.
This level housed over two thousand people.
The rooms were divided into even smaller spaces, cramped and narrow, with dim lighting flickering intermittently, and the cacophony of human voices all around. Ji Xinghuo navigated through the fetid, cluttered corridors, indifferent to the numb expressions on the faces of those he passed, who didn’t care about this stranger.
Soon, Ji Xinghuo stood before a weathered, old door.
The room behind it was also subdivided into several smaller chambers, but it was very quiet with only one person inside.
The door was unlocked.
With a gentle push, Ji Xinghuo opened it and walked in to see the back of a man. Hearing the door open, the man turned around, revealing the face of a middle-aged man.
It was Shen Yucheng.
At that moment, his face was not disguised but showed his true appearance.
However, Shen Yucheng did not appear the least bit flustered. Instead, there was an inexplicable calmness to him as he observed Ji Xinghuo and asked, "What is your codename in the Sword Bureau?"
