At his words, Ji Chuan slowly walked over, and everybody watching widened their eyes, curious to see what would ensue.

"Get out of here, kneel in front of the Ji Clan’s gate for three days and three nights, and you shall be spared death!" Ji Chuan declared, a command that inevitably shocked the crowd with its sheer domineering and excessive nature.

Ye Qiu leisurely sipped his tea, recognizing Ji Chuan. Back during the ascent of the stairway, he had personally ’escorted’ the man all the way to the bottom in the final few steps.

It seems he doesn’t recognize me! Ye Qiu thought with a slight smile. Today he was not wearing a mask, so it wasn’t surprising that Ji Chuan didn’t recognize him. But as for his words, Ye Qiu naturally chose to ignore them.

Having dared to slap Ji Shan, he wasn’t afraid of the Ji Clan coming after him.

It was just a pity that Ji Lingchen hadn’t shown up; otherwise, he might have had some interest. As for Ji Chuan, he hadn’t yet caught Ye Qiu’s eye.

Although the three were not the top talents of their respective ancient clans, deigning only second place, Ye Qiu still dismissed them as mere shrimps and crabs.

Ye Qiu’s words effectively slapped the faces of all three, and even Shi Qingchen’s gaze towards Ye Qiu began to emit a hint of anger due to Ye Qiu’s deliberate reference to the fact that Shi Qingbing had become a cripple.

"I’m just speaking to the facts, and it wouldn’t be any different even if Ji Lingchen himself were here," Ye Qiu said.

Ji Chuan looked at the other two and said, "Brother Canshou, Brother Qingchen, it seems to him that we are easily defeated. Shall I be the first to teach him a lesson?"

Mu Canshou stepped forward and said, "There’s no need for you to trouble yourself, Brother Ji Chuan. Let me handle this madman. I’ll make sure he sees that he can’t even handle a shrimp soldier or crab general."

Shi Qingchen also insisted on going first, "Disrespecting my Shi Clan warrants severe punishment. There’s no need for you two to argue. I’ll take care of this fellow first."

All three men wanted to make a move against Ye Qiu and began to quarrel over it, creating a rather amusing scene.

Just as most people were secretly making connections and expecting a great drama to unfold, Ye Qiu finished his tea in one gulp and said, "Stop arguing. It doesn’t matter to me if you all come at once, it’ll just cost me a bit more effort!"

However, none of the three made a move. They suddenly realized that this arrogant individual was the same one who had shone so brightly in the Great Emperor’s tomb, and they became serious and cautious. If they made a move now, they would really need to calculate their chances!
