Chapter 353: Cousin 0352
Upon witnessing this scene,
the three experts instantly lost their temper. Anyone who saw a rock being crushed into powder by hand wouldn’t dare to provoke further; otherwise, it would simply be a death wish!
The three were cunning and knew better than to mess with Ye Qiu, quickly putting on a flattering tone, "Indeed, heroes emerge from the youth. We had no idea our Huaxia had such a young and outstanding talent as Brother Ye."
"Yes, yes, with Brother Ye on this trip to Myanmar, we will undoubtedly return fully loaded."
Ye Qiu glanced at the three men but did not respond until Li Jinglong stepped forward to mediate, dissipating the awkwardness.
Before long, the Li family’s private plane descended, a black helicopter.
"Gentlemen, please board the aircraft," Li Jinglong gestured politely.
The three experts, along with several bodyguards, all showed a hint of surprise; they had assumed they would be taking a car directly to the destination, not flying instead.
The Li family did indeed have lavish resources!
After boarding the aircraft, the cabin was relatively quiet. In light of Ye Qiu’s earlier display of strength, the experts no longer dared to cause any trouble, though the bodyguards were quite curious about him.
There were a total of twelve bodyguards, ten males and two females, all of whom had trained in combat and naturally understood the terror of Ye Qiu crushing stone into powder with his bare hands.
In their eyes, Ye Qiu, who appeared thin and scholarly, hardly seemed connected to any great master.
How could such terrifying power reside within his body?
Even the leading man was puzzled, while the two female bodyguards exchanged looks, their eyes reflecting a curiosity about Ye Qiu.
Ye Qiu closed his eyes, indifferent to mingling with the others, as he was solely focused on figuring out the reason behind the sudden surge of the black energy.
Whenever the black energy appeared, it seemed to cloud his mind as if turning him into someone else.
In his mind, Ye Qiu had some memories of this; he saw himself transformed, not at all the person he was now, and even he found it strange.
What exactly was this black energy?
Ye Qiu was at a loss, feeling as though he had stirred up major trouble.
He remembered that the black energy had reacted when he activated his "Perspective Eye." Could it really be related to that ability?
Ye Qiu prepared to try again, of course, this time he planned to use True Qi to shield the black energy’s reaction to the Perspective Eye.
Whoosh!
One eye activated the ability of the Perspective Eye, and Ye Qiu observed the black energy inside his Dantian. As expected, the black energy moved instantly, but because Ye Qiu shielded it with True Qi, the energy showed a hint of confusion, unsure of where to go, and kept bouncing around in the Dantian.
Ye Qiu immediately closed his eyes. After this attempt, he now knew that the Perspective Eye could provoke the black energy.
Even though he wasn’t clear on what the black energy was, it seemed that on this trip to Myanmar, he would have to block the energy in order to use the Perspective Eye.
The ability itself drained True Qi considerably, and now with the addition of the black energy, the time he could use the Perspective Eye would likely be significantly reduced.
With the Perspective Eye shut off, the black energy bounced for a bit before finally settling down.
Ye Qiu felt his mood stabilize from slight annoyance to calmness.
Could this black energy change a person’s emotions?
Ye Qiu felt a chill in his heart, realizing he needed to be extra cautious about the black energy, or it might cause him immense trouble.
Ye Qiu closed his eyes and guarded his spirit, sitting aside, while the others also began to rest with their eyes closed. Only Li Jinglong felt a tremble in his heart; he had a fleeting impression that the devil inside Ye Qiu had emerged and vanished.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh...
It didn’t take long to fly from China to the neighboring Myanmar; after about five hours, the group had arrived in Myanmar.
Li Jinglong had people arranged there already. Once everyone got off the helicopter, they were taken to a local residence.
"Everyone, we’re heading to the mining area tomorrow. Rest up tonight, gather your strength," Li Jinglong left behind these words and walked out of the residence, clearly busy with other matters.
The group looked at each other, but luckily, the house had everything they needed. The three experts were somewhat worn out from sitting in the helicopter for hours and were already feeling sore all over. Now, they directly lay down on the beds to stretch their limbs and rest.
The twelve bodyguards started their duties, taking up positions outside.
Ye Qiu didn’t stay inside the house; he walked out, looked at the tall trees around him, took a deep breath, and felt that the air was much fresher here.
Ye Qiu didn’t mind the gazes from the bodyguards. He simply sat down on a rock and began to close his eyes and rest his mind.
Ye Qiu’s unusual behavior certainly caught the attention of the bodyguards.
"Is he cultivating?"
"This guy is strange, but he’s strong, and there’s a dangerous vibe about him."
The twelve individuals, who often worked as bodyguards and skirted the edges of danger, all felt a threatening aura emanating from Ye Qiu.
The ten male bodyguards didn’t talk much, but the two female bodyguards were increasingly curious. They wanted to know exactly who Ye Qiu was, but they were stopped by their leader.
"Don’t disturb him, we can’t afford to mess with this person."
As the leader of the twelve, he instinctively didn’t want to get too close to Ye Qiu, because he knew that in China, there was a group of mysterious masters who had existed since ancient times, commonly referred to as the "martial world."
Early the next morning, Li Jinglong led the group towards the Houjiang mining area.
An off-road vehicle made its way through the mountains and wilderness, after many twists and turns, they finally reached this newly discovered mining area.
Buzz buzz...
The sound of various machines was audible, and plenty of vehicles could be seen driving back and forth, transporting loads of stones.
There was also a sizable crowd gathered together, seemingly arguing over mining area issues, with the atmosphere tense as if a fight might break out.
It couldn’t be denied that the place was chaotic; gunfire could even be heard sometimes.
Li Jinglong hadn’t expected the site to be almost indistinguishable from a battlefield. He glanced at the twelve bodyguards and felt considerably more at ease.
"It’s fine, we won’t cause trouble, and no one will trouble us," Li Jinglong said reassuringly.
The three experts looked around warily, their faces covered with big lumps from mosquito bites the night before and heavy dark circles under their eyes, clearly indicating a poor night’s sleep.
The twelve bodyguards protected the surrounding area, enclosing Li Jinglong and the others in the middle, drawing looks from the locals.
The locals’ gazes were somewhat cold, as the arrival of Li Jinglong and company meant that some of the good stuff would once again be divided among others.
After walking for roughly half an hour, a vehicle stopped in front of the group. When Li Jinglong saw the person in the car, he let out a sigh of relief and approached, saying, "Cousin."
"Cousin, you finally made it," said a man about five or six years older than Li Jinglong, patting Li Jinglong on the shoulder.
He looked rugged, a real man’s man compared to the more refined appearance of Li Jinglong, with a strong and imposing presence.
"Cousin, these are the stone appraising experts I’ve hired to help us select the raw stones!" Li Jinglong introduced them.
The cousin gave everyone a quick look and nodded. However, when his eyes fell on Ye Qiu, he looked rather surprised. After all, Ye Qiu looked quite young, and to say that he was also an expert in stone appraisal made him skeptical. However, since Li Jinglong had brought Ye Qiu, the cousin nodded as a greeting and said no more.
"Haha, great, come on, I’ll show you guys something good. It’s a big piece we dug up last night," the cousin called out, leading everyone along.
