Chapter 189: If nobody offends me, I won’t offend anybody.

The man who claimed to be Zhong Kai was like a swift breeze, instantly delivering a heavy punch to the face.

The punch was as fast as lightning, and Zhong Kai put forth nine-tenths of his strength. It would shatter even Stony Mountain.

Within the punch was a wild fury, the force flowing from the fist, from the inside out, controlled by Zhong Kai’s will, aiming to kill whoever he wished.

Had it been an ordinary person, they would not have been able to dodge Zhong Kai’s fist; if not seriously injured by the strike, they would have been disabled.

What a ruthless person!

Ye Qiu tensed up. The young man in front of him launched an attack without a word, not bothering to discern right from wrong, and went straight for a killing move.

He also reacted instantly.

Raising his right hand, True Qi surged into his arms and, in a swift motion, he seized Zhong Kai’s wrist. Tightening his grip, there was a crack, and Ye Qiu dislocated the assailant’s arm. A scream emanated from Zhong Kai’s mouth, carrying far and wide.

Zhong Kai, in pain, clutched his arm, his face twisted with agony, his eyes revealing hatred as he glared at Ye Qiu.

Ye Qiu remained unmoved, looking down at him from his superior position.

If others do not offend me, I do not offend them. Since you tried to assassinate me without provocation, don’t blame me for being equally impolite.

"Who is this, causing trouble here? Are you courting death?" In an instant, a group of people emerged from inside, among them an elderly man who saw Zhong Kai’s injured state and immediately yelled at Ye Qiu.

Ye Qiu quietly observed the group. Was this his first encounter with the people of Wulin, and were these the so-called martial artists?

Ye Qiu frowned. He really couldn’t see any difference between these martial artists and ordinary people, other than the unique aura some practitioners carried.

"Young man, aren’t you being a bit too arrogant? Isn’t starting a fight here a bit too dismissive of the Southern Wulin’s territory?" the elder spoke slowly.

"Heh, I have no grudge against this person. I just wanted him to pass a message, yet he attacked me instantly. Am I supposed to just stand here and let him strike me dead?" Ye Qiu sneered. These people were not like the martial artists he had imagined.

"Even if he struck you first, isn’t your response a bit too harsh? Isn’t that somewhat excessive?" The elder was persistent. The group behind him appeared ready to deal with Ye Qiu, all jumping out to say, "Causing trouble on Southern Wulin territory, it wouldn’t be too much to tie him up and expose him to the sun for three days, not to mention attacking one of our own. His punishment should be one degree more severe, his martial arts should be crippled."

"Yes, that’s right. This person is arrogant and reckless, dislocating arms at the slightest disagreement, truly detestable."

"Tie him up, and give him a good lesson, to teach him the rules of the martial world."

All the martial artists at the scene sided with Zhong Kai and spoke in unison against Ye Qiu. Their words indicated a united intent to severely teach Ye Qiu a lesson.

The two-faced behavior of these people caused Ye Qiu to frown. If all the people in Wulin were like this, he would turn around and leave right now, not bothering to explain himself to these unreasonable people.

"Aren’t you going to give up and surrender now? Otherwise, you’ll suffer soon," someone shouted at Ye Qiu.

Zhong Kai had already stood up, snapping his arm back into place. It was merely dislocated, and soon it was as good as new.

The people beside him were Zhong Kai’s seniors and friends. He had underestimated Ye Qiu before and fell into his trap. Next time, he would not be easily captured. Still, Ye Qiu’s skills were indeed fast. Zhong Kai didn’t get the upper hand against him, which indicated his strength.

Zhong Kai was wary of Ye Qiu’s skills, but with the support behind him, he held a complete advantage in terms of momentum.

"Forget it, this doesn’t seem like a gathering place for martial artists, just some bandits with a bit of kung fu." Ye Qiu sighed, suddenly losing interest in this so-called Wulin. The people here were just bullies who abused their power or acted high and mighty, without a trace of regard for others, and he didn’t want to spend another moment with them.

"Hey, young man, this isn’t a place you can come and go as you please," four figures instantly blocked Ye Qiu’s path, preventing him from leaving.

"What now? Have you martial artists really become robbers?" Ye Qiu didn’t move, just waited with cold eyes.

"Hmph, young man, you need to speak more politely. Speaking recklessly ought to be punished," the elderly man who had defended Zhong Kai remarked indifferently.

"If I want to leave, no one can stop me," Ye Qiu’s gaze flashed, and his aura burst forth, blatantly ignoring the four people blocking his path.

"Heh, such arrogance. Over the years, you’re not the first to act so boldly on the turf of Southern Martial Arts, but those few before you who were so brazen are now confined to living in wheelchairs," said the leader of the four identical-looking fatties, his voice cold as if to intimidate Ye Qiu.

"You talk too much," Ye Qiu replied indifferently.

Then, the identical fatties were instantly enraged and started grabbing at Ye Qiu.

The quadruplets were all bald, enormously strong, their bodies layered with fat that could reduce an attack’s impact to nearly zero.

When Ye Qiu threw a punch, it was like sinking into a sea of mud, leaving him inwardly shaken by their impressive resilience.

Yet, Ye Qiu remained unshaken in his emotions; he was merely attacking with full strength.

As the four hulking figures blocked his way, Ye Qiu, not wanting to waste time, immediately activated his True Qi. His body, in front of the brutes, moved swiftly left and right. One of the brutes felt a blur before his eyes and could no longer grasp Ye Qiu’s shadow. As he searched for Ye Qiu, he suddenly felt a fierce jab to his calf and stumbled to the ground.

The other three brutes lunged at Ye Qiu, the ground trembling beneath them.

Ye Qiu, light as a swallow, easily dodged the assault of the three men, then wove through them like an eel. His fingers struck swiftly, and soon after, all three brutes lay on the ground, no longer able to obstruct Ye Qiu’s path.

Ye Qiu’s swift dismantling of the quadruplets sent shockwaves through the onlookers from the martial arts community.

The quadruplets were not common men, all trained martial artists, and their coordination was such that few experts could easily defeat them when they joined forces.

However, Ye Qiu had done it. With just a few rapid strikes, he had incapacitated the quadruplets.

Who exactly was this young man, and how was his martial skill so advanced?

Even the old man standing next to Zhong Kai showed surprise, unable to help but ask, "Stop there, who are you? What are you here for?"

Ye Qiu stopped, disinclined to respond, but after taking three steps forward, another voice called out to him again.

"Young Master Ye, please don’t hurry away. I ask you to afford me, Chen Yifeng, a bit of face, and not to lower yourself to their level," a robust, commanding voice echoed, and Ye Qiu paused.

He turned around to see a sprightly old man smiling at him.

"Was it you who invited me here?" Ye Qiu asked, tossing the martial arts invitation over.

Chen Yifeng lifted a hand and caught the invitation, nodding, "Yes, it was me."

"He is Ye Qiu?"

"Ye... Ye Qiu..."

The crowd, initially aggressive, now displayed shock, having not anticipated that this young man was Ye Qiu.

Was he the one who had reached the realm of True Qi?

Those who had not made a move were secretly relieved. Had they confronted Ye Qiu earlier, it wouldn’t have been the four fatties on the ground, but themselves.

"Young Master Ye, may I have the honor of your company inside?" Chen Yifeng extended a hand in invitation.

Being accorded such respect by the senior Chen Yifeng, there were probably not many young people in the entire martial arts world who could claim the same.

It was an immense honor.

This also sent ripples through the others present in the martial arts community, and watching Chen Yifeng give Ye Qiu such consideration, Zhong Kai clenched his teeth in secret, his fists cracking.
