Chu Xiaoyao took the tissue, wiped her eyes, and hung her head without her usual flamboyance.

"What exactly happened?" Li Yifei sat next to Chu Xiaoyao but still kept a considerable distance between them.

"Uncle!" Chu Xiaoyao looked up at Li Yifei and said, "My parents scolded me; they don’t want a daughter like me anymore, so I ran away from home. Uncle, you must take me in."

"You ran away from home over a fight with your parents?" Li Yifei frowned.
