Super Invincible Battleship
Chapter 696 – 696 300 High

Chapter 696: Chapter 300: High-Speed Hurricane_2 Chapter 696: Chapter 300: High-Speed Hurricane_2 Yan Fei fell silent for a moment and then asked, “Where is Japan's nuclear weapon launch center?”

The authoritative voice hesitated, not expecting Yan Fei to inquire about Japan's nuclear weapon launch center at such a time. Nevertheless, he informed Yan Fei of the location of the launch center before saying, “Comrade Yan Fei, the nation needs you, which is why we hope you can preserve yourself to continue contributing to the country. Now, while Japan's nuclear weapons have not yet arrived, please leave Dream Island immediately!”

After ending the call with China, Yan Fei put down the red telephone, his feelings complex. He had never imagined that Japan would go so far as to launch nuclear weapons at Dream Island after the destruction of the United Fleet. But Japan, always abundant in tacticians while lacking true strategists, appeared to be hasty and profit-seeking in its development, often making laughably foolish choices.

If the Drone hadn't been upgraded yet and had come under attack by Japan's nuclear weapons, Yan Fei would have certainly left the hazardous area aboard the Drone as quickly as possible. After all, powerful as it might be, the Drone couldn't withstand an attack by nuclear weapons. However, after the Drone's recent upgrade, its Quantum Radar's detection range had reached 2000 kilometers, and the Drone had acquired a powerful new weapon–the AGM-129 Stealth Cruise Missile.

The AGM-129 Stealth Cruise Missile is a formidable weapon on its own, but as part of the Drone's standard arsenal, its destructiveness was vastly increased. Not only was the explosive power of its warhead enhanced, but its cruising speed had also accelerated to three times the speed of sound, and its frightening attack range had extended to 4000 kilometers, with the missile now even capable of entering space.

Armed with Quantum Radar and the AGM-129 Stealth Cruise Missile, Yan Fei essentially possessed the capability for ultrlong-distance missile interception. Even if Japan were to launch medium-range ballistic missiles carrying nuclear weapons at Dream Island, Yan Fei would intercept them with the Drone and the AGM-129 Stealth Cruise Missiles, preventing the nuclear warheads from nearing Dream Island.

From the intelligence provided by China, Yan Fei knew that Japan had launched three medium-range ballistic missiles, each carrying a 2-megaton nuclear warhead. Intercepting just three ballistic missiles was something that the Drone Avatar could achieve on its own. If Dream Island were facing a missile barrage from The United States of America or Russia, with the Drone's daily replenishment of fifty-plus AGM-129 Stealth Cruise Missiles, it would be impossible to intercept them, and Yan Fei would have had to flee Dream Island much sooner.

Upon discovering that Japan was about to launch nuclear weapons, Yan Fei swiftly maneuvered the Drone to ascend and quickly return to Dream Island, blending into a cloud above. He then activated the Quantum Radar, conducting a targeted scan of Japan's nuclear weapon launch center based on the bearing provided by China.

If the Quantum Radar activated its maximum scanning range, the Drone could instantly detect any movements within that radius. However, doing so would consume an astronomical number of Energy Points, not nearly enough for the Drone to complete the entire missile interception operation. But with a known approximate location of the target, activating the Quantum Radar for an ultrlong-distance targeted scan within a smaller range could still capture the flight trajectory of the target from a great distance.

While this would still consume a large number of Energy Points, it was considerably less compared to a full-range scan. With careful management by Yan Fei, it would be sufficient to sustain the entire missile interception process.

After entering the coordinates provided by China into the Auxiliary Brain, Yan Fei located Japan's secret nuclear weapon base on Seed Island in the southern part of Japan, 1800 kilometers away from Dream Island in a straight line. It seemed that Japan had put a lot of thought and effort into this secret nuclear center by finally choosing such a remote and isolated island far from the Mainland.

As a defeated nation in World War II, under the restrictions enforced by The United States of America, Japan could not be considered a complete country up until now. Japan had no formal army; it only had armed forces that could be referred to as Self-Defense Forces and were not part of a regular army. Japan's weapons technology development faced severe international restrictions; not to mention nuclear weapons, they could not even boldly develop slightly more advanced conventional weapons.

Yet unbeknownst to all, Japan had secretly developed mature nuclear weapons technology. If it were not for the loud commotion of the official launch of the nuclear weapons, which led foreign intelligence agents in Japan to detect something amiss, no one would have ever known that Japan had acquired nuclear strike capability.

Under the small-scale targeted scanning of the Quantum Radar, Yan Fei spotted the three missiles just launched over Seed Island. These missiles were clearly medium-range ballistic missiles; they were quickly ascending through the atmosphere, on the verge of breaking through the Atmospheric Layer into Outer Space. Using the flight trajectories of these three missiles, the Auxiliary Brain calculated that their target was indeed Dream Island, meaning these missiles were carrying nuclear weapons.

After identifying the incoming threat, Yan Fei rallied his spirits, using the Quantum Radar to lock onto the incoming missiles firmly. As soon as the three missiles reached the optimal attack position in space, he immediately fired AGM-129 Stealth Cruise Missiles to destroy them, averting a catastrophic disaster for Dream Island.
