Super Invincible Battleship
Chapter 670 – 670 291 Attack and Anti

Chapter 670: Chapter 291 Attack and Anti-submarine_3 Chapter 670: Chapter 291 Attack and Anti-submarine_3 It was precisely because of this anti-bandit invitation that the United Fleet, fearing others would beat them to Dream Island, immediately broke formation and sprinted towards Dream Island. Their frantic rush left the originally seamless defensive formation in total disarray, riddled with gaps, which allowed Yan Fei to annihilate them with ease.

Below the sea surface, the Artificial Whale had been closely monitoring the F-15 Combat Formation above. It waited for an opportunity to strike. Just as the F-15 Combat Formation was about to leave the area, a large cluster of clouds passed overhead again, cutting off satellite surveillance. This allowed the Artificial Whale to surface once more and, using its signature weapon, it wiped out the F-15 fighter squadron in one fell swoop.

In its first engagement, the Artificial Whale demonstrated astonishing strength, effortlessly destroying 12 F-15 fighters. This was the confidence Yan Fei had to withstand the besiegement of Dream Island by the United Fleet.

However, while Yan Fei was controlling the Artificial Whale, he noticed a huge difference compared to controlling drones. The technological gap was temporarily insurmountable; the Artificial Whale's technology was far inferior to Yan Fei's Drone Avatars, so Yan Fei couldn't control the Artificial Whale as freely as he could the drones. During the process, there would be inexplicable delays or error prompts in operation, and the missiles it fired were not as advanced as the enhanced missiles from the drones.

The anti-aircraft missiles used by the Artificial Whale were the latest technological marvel from Yang Qi, with various data surpassing the most advanced anti-aircraft missiles on Earth. However, they had a flaw: they couldn't be guided by Quantum Radar. Despite the Artificial Whale launching a large number of missiles at once, their hit rate was not very high. During the attack, the majority of the missiles were led astray by the decoy flares released by the F-15s, not at all like the drones which could eliminate a target with a single missile.

This indirectly emphasized the prowess of the United States' F-15s. When Yan Fei previously engaged in combat with F-15s using drones, the hit rate of the various missiles was nearly 100%, which had led Yan Fei to underestimate the United States Air Force. Yet when he switched weapons, Yan Fei's hit rate in the attack plummeted dramatically, proving that it wasn't that the United States' fighters were lacking, but rather that Yan Fei's drones were exceptionally powerful.

Although the hit rate of the Artificial Whale's missiles wasn't as high as that of the drones, it had one major advantage: its massive payload. It didn't fear wasting ammunition. It had just launched over a hundred anti-aircraft missiles, using up less than one-thousandth of its entire arsenal. So even if the hit rate was a little lower, it was acceptable. This meant that even without deploying his Drone Avatars, Yan Fei possessed the strength to confront the world's military powers.

Since the Artificial Whale was still Dream Island's trump card, Yan Fei, for the sake of secrecy, couldn't possibly let go of anyone who had seen the Artificial Whale. After discovering that there were still four survivors in the air, Yan Fei activated the electromagnetic cannon system within the Artificial Whale and killed all the remaining pilots.

Whether it was the anti-aircraft missiles or the electromagnetic cannon, the technology used in them was all provided by Yang Qi. These technologies were at the forefront of the world, and combined with the precise capabilities of the mini-production workshop for drones, they became world-leading super-weapons as soon as they were produced. Using them to kill 12 F-15s was just a walk in the park.

Under Yan Fei's control, the Artificial Whale submerged into the sea and quickly swam westward. At that moment, at the sea bottom, fifty kilometers away from this area, another Artificial Whale was cruising, trailing a long towed sonar behind it.

To counter the attack of the United Fleet, Yan Fei had specifically created two Artificial Whales. The first one, which had just launched the direct attack, was filled with weapons for combat; the second one did not have any weapons. Its purpose was underwater anti-submarine operations, hence its entire interior was dedicated to carrying towed sonar, aiming to detect any submarines attempting to approach Dream Island.

This Artificial Whale constantly patrolled the waters near Dream Island. While moving, it deployed a large number of towed sonar devices from its interior space. These towed sonar devices also used very advanced technology, making them smaller in size and with a greater detection range in deeper, broader areas of the sea. Any underwater entity entering this detection range, as long as their acoustic signature was not below that of the sea floor's background noise, would be detected by the towed sonar and the information would be relayed back to the Artificial Whale.

Under normal circumstances, this Artificial Whale would surface every thirty minutes after collecting acoustic signatures from the seabed to send the gathered data to the control center at the rear, enabling the control center to understand the sea bottom situation around Dream Island, detect threats promptly, and avoid stealth attacks from beneath the sea.

In this special period, Yan Fei also allocated part of his attention to connecting with this anti-submarine Artificial Whale using the Quantum Radar. Thus, the data collected by the underwater towed sonar was constantly fed back to the Auxiliary Brain's database, which then processed the information to ascertain what was passing beneath the sea. Through this anti-submarine Artificial Whale, Yan Fei had a clear grasp of the situation underwater.

Normally, Yan Fei could have employed the Quantum Radar's wide-ranging scan function to reconnoiter submarine activities, but facing the impending battle against the United Fleet, he couldn't possibly use a large number of Energy Points. In order to save Energy Points, Yan Fei had almost turned off all other functions of the drones, aiming to reserve the Energy Points for deploying the drones in case any unexpected situation arose where they were needed for combat.

To achieve this end, Yan Fei had been using the Artificial Whale for combat. Although this also required using some Energy Points for the connection between the Quantum Radar and the Artificial Whale, as well as for the Auxiliary Brain's control over the Artificial Whale, compared to wide-ranging scanning, the energy consumption was much less–truly economical and efficient.

Through the detection of the towed sonar, Yan Fei had long ago detected 13 submarines beneath the sea surface. Since Yan Fei didn't possess the acoustic signatures of these submarines, he didn't know which country they belonged to, nor their names. But in this critical moment, all submarines approaching Dream Island were undoubtedly hostile and considered enemies of Dream Island.

Therefore, after dealing with the approaching F-15 Fighter Squadron, the combat-ready Artificial Whale immediately set off at full speed toward the submarines approaching Dream Island to neutralize the threats from beneath the sea.
